I GOT THE FRIGID POWER-UP LET'S GOOOO!
updated 4 years ago
I believe this was done during 1.5 at some point, just never got around to uploading it.
The whale sucks btw I hate it, even tho it didn't show up here in this run :)
this is a good game
- *FOOTAGE IS CUT WHERE THE CHECKPOINTS ARE!!!* I did not beat this without checkpoints.
Also, yes, I did get stuck at 3:26 cuz I didn't see the lever lol
Level by easymode
I wanted to challenge myself by not looking up any guides or videos of people beating Survival Mode, and I totally suffered for it.
I encountered several close-to-impossible scenarios in the Bedroom Stage, as well as one time when Foxy's hook appeared on the crib right after Freddy showed his face in the window, and of course, Foxy killed me, because I was looking in his direction whilst still holding the curtains shut. It sucked.
I also never really managed to get the living room consistently. I got better, obviously, but still, could've very quickly found out that Bonnie waits until either Freddy or Foxy comes inside if they're close enough if I had just looked up a tutorial. I found out on my own eventually, but it still took TOO long to do so.
And then there was the office, of which a glitch happened like three times, where I would have to hold down Left-Click to look around, and when I wanted to interact with something, I'd have to let go and Left-Click again really fast for it to register. Turns out if you stand up before anything else in the Office Stage, that'll happen... but if you click into one of the cameras, you'll be fine for the rest of the night lol. Not much else to say about the Basement or the Attic, except for the fact that they took way too long, surprisingly never died in the Basement or the Attic (whilst playing Survival Mode), which I'm happy I didn't.
Also, the reason I stared into the camera for so long in the Basement, was because I was literally plugging my earbuds into my computer. I played without 'em up until then 'cause I prefer to play games like that, I just had to plug them in there bacause of the Attic Stage, of which is probably close to impossible without Stereo-Headphones, or at the very least something similar.
BTW if you're wondering why I didn't miss any cannon shots at the queen during that fight both in the Gauntlet and not in the Gauntlet... I dunno, thought it would be a fun challenge. It wasn't.

How this run is done:
Setting Up:
To run this catagory, you have to create a form of Save-Spot at the Princess Quest 3 Arcade Game in Vanny's Office. You have to do this to make Gregory warp there when going out of bounds later in the run, (more on that later.) To set the Save-Spot, you simply have to play Princess Quest 3, die, and then quit playing the Arcade machine, (not sure if you can just play and quit.) using the debug menu to teleport to the different Princess Quest Arcade Games is a whole lot faster than just doing it normally. After the Save-Spot is set, everytime you fall under the map and hit the very bottom, even in other Save Files, the game will put you next to the Princess Quest 3 Arcade. Keep in mind, the game will put you in the exact position you were in when you set the Save-Spot, meaning it may be better to do what I did, and face a bit more towards the button that ends the game as you start playing Princess Quest 3 and setting your Save-Spot.
Freddy's Room:
Surprisingly enough, Freddy's Greenroom remains as an inescapable Glitch-Free zone. You have to Activate Vanessa's walking animation, you have to get the Faz-Watch from Freddy, and you have to push the button to get to the next room, which is also inescapable with the use of known Bugs and Glitches, but we'll get to that later.
To get trough Freddy's Room as fast as possible, you start by mashing 'E' to exit Freddy, turn voices off in the audio settings to be able to do this immediately upon starting a New Game. After exiting Freddy, go over to where I go, next to the Glam-Freddy Plush's Arm, wait until you hear a sound que, then jump soon after to activate Vanessa's little walking animation thing. After that run over to Freddy and hold 'E' to get the Faz-Watch. Now go over to the Door-Button and check your Faz-Watch, wait until the game automatically switches to the 'Messages' tab, then close the Watch and push the Button once it turns Green. Now you're free to run out of Freddy's room.
That Room After Freddy's Room & The Vent:
After exiting Freddy's Greenroom, run and do a sharp turn at the fence. Then jump onto the boxes and continue jumping up the boxes and crawl into the Vent, I really can't explain how I jump up the boxes any better than that, sorry :/ . In the Vents, simply crawl fast until you almost run out of Stamina, then stop and start crawling fast again right before the Stamina Bar is filled up once more. Take sharp turns, and maybe use 'A' and 'D' a bit while crawling, it helps me a bit, although I don't believe it is necessary to use those two buttons and go through the Vents like I do. Near the end of the Vents you should start going fast a bit sooner than usual to not waste time buliding up stamina you won't get to use.
Last Part (After The Vents):
After getting out of the Vents, start sprinting as I do, Run, then Jump, then Cancel the Running, then start running again when you land. You Sprint like this to save Stamina, which in this case saves time. At this point in the run, you can chose to pause the game, paused time will be removed from the In-game time which is the time that counts. I paused my game after exiting the vent to get rid of the lag that was about to happen, moving my mouse until I saw it lag. I don't believe Lag-time is taken away from the In-game final time.
Now Run over to the specific glass case I ran over to, and spam 'Space' in the corner while facing it to get on it. Just hope you get lucky while doing this, there is no consistent way of doing that fast. When you make it on-top, jump on the door and walk into the wall, but not too far in as that will result in you being stuck in there instead, once everything is unloaded simply walk off the door and run the direction I do, after falling and landing you just have to run a bit further and then when you hear Gregory walk off of something, pause the game to handle the lag, then unpause and wait. Once you finally hear Gregory landing on something, pause the game to load everything in, and push the button to win and stop the timer.
Hope Someone Found This Helpful.
Also, I dunno what happened to the sound, but at least there is sound lol.

Update: The new update to the game will actually let you skip the Sunydrop-turns-into-Moondrop cutscene, but this only seems possible to do if you are still at the Security Desk when the cutscene activates. This means that it may be faster to wait before jumping over the barrier.
Also, to jump over the fence to skip Sunydrop's first cutscene; just go up to the fence, hold A+W, and spam 'jump' to be able to sometimes Double-Jump, I found out after uploading this that it is more consistant to move your mouse left and right a little bit while spamming space.
Update Update: Standing on the Flashlight recharge station will still let you skip the cutscene.
There might also be a more consistant click-pattern to get over the fence, but I find it easier to just spam.
Probably only gonna do one more of these, as getting the WR or anything close to it is too hardware dependant at this point. I've tried the faster routes and all, but stuff just loads back in too fast for me. Kinda wanna try OoB now though.

This run was submitted to speedrun.com, but it says the run was completed in 2:53.53, but the timer in the actual run said 2:54.27... I feel like I should know why that is the case, but I really don't lol.
