We even got to learn more about the Flying Raijin Jutsu, showing that it’s so hard to learn that four skilled jonin, personally trained by Minato, had to work together just to pull it off once. That set the bar high. Then Naruto pulls up with Minato and they both can pull it off easy peasy. Minato’s return had an impact on both the emotional states of the audience and characters, but also served as the passing on of a torch. The Will of Fire. To recap for those who missed anything. Naruto in this universe is the son of a single mother who was the leader of a Power Rangers-like group known as the Toku Sentai Bijurangers. Kushina however, in a moment of self-sacrifice, stayed behind while not only the rest of her team, but Kurama also, was sent away to hide from the enemy. Naruto was told by Yagura about the death of his mother, and he took it hard. But in his moment of need, he had Kurama. From there, Yagura faced the ire of Hiruzen, who told him how important Kurama was to the village, and could not be treated as a toy by a child. But Yagura disagreed, thinking Naruto could be a good Bijuranger if he so desired. Naruto and Gaara both would become Bijurangers, replacing Kushina and Bunpuku on the team respectively. They would train where Fu would teach them that the greatest lesson for a Bijuranger to learn was how to trust in their Tailed Beast. The mutual trust between Beast and Jinchuriki would be what pulls them through. However, as they learned this lesson, the entire village came under assault by a Mollusk Monster, and the entire team save Naruto and Gaara were called up to stop this monster. However, as they left, they saw secret Zetsu about to attack the academy, with Sasuke alone fighting off the horde. The two showed up to aid Sasuke and managed to defeat the Zetsu. Together, with the Sentai, Naruto and Gaara managed to defeat the Mollusk Monster. But despite this, the Akatsuki had a plan. The Biju Sentai was cornered, and only with the sacrifice of Kushina Uzumaki did they escape. Taking it hard, Naruto was pulled out of his slump by Yagura, the second in command of the sentai, who petitioned that he become a member of the squad. After realizing that his best friend, Gaara, would be brought into the squad, Naruto quickly accepted. Hiruzen then petitioned that Naruto and Gaara be trained as well as possible. This essentially partly became a what if surrounding the failure of Minato. If he had failed, what would have happened? Well, probably this. Because that’s exactly what happened. The only difference is that we’ve added in the stipulation that he also train Naruto, which is another thing that likely would have happened. Without the ability to seal the Nine-Tails into the Gedo Stature, Obito would have had to put it somewhere. And without the baby’s ability to naturally contain the full Beast, even if the baby was an Uzumaki, Obito needed to come up with a way for Naruto to have power over the Beast. That’s where the Sharingan comes from. The Sharingan naturally has dominion over the Tailed Beasts, as it is descended from the Rinne-Sharingan, the eye of the Ten-Tails. With only his base Sharingan, Sasuke not only entered Naruto’s subconscious, but suppressed the Nine-Tails. It is for this reason that I thought giving Naruto the Sharingan would be the best course of action. But then again, maybe I also wanted to draw a parallel between Naruto and Nagato. That is to say, they’re the most well known, and believed to be the strongest, and most versatile of them all. But as the light of intelligence spreads, so too does the dark circumference of ignorance. This would be considered not too far removed from Plato’s Allegory of the Cave, in which Plato describes a group of men who have been chained in a cave their whole life, facing a blank wall. Every so often a shadow passes by, and the men marvel at these shadows. But they do not know the things casting these shadows and suppose that these shadows are all the is, unknowing that the world consists of greater things. Plato had other allegories of similar caliber to explain this, such as the Analogy of the Sun, and the Analogy of the Divided Line, in which we’re shown that knowledge is light, and it’s source drives out darkness, but depending upon how much light you have, depends upon how much you see, and those who have not seen anymore than that, suppose that this is all that there is. The intelligent know that they do not know everything. It is the ignorant who believe that they know everything, because they do not know how much they do not know. That is the reason why the “Three most reputed dojutsu” are no longer up to date. Many other Dojutsu have been revealed, and each one possesses wonderful powers. With as much as we see of the Rinnegan these days, it seems to lose its special nature, and makes me wonder how long it’ll be until Orochimaru learns to simply recreate it, just as he did the Sharingan and it’s Mangekyo Variant. But coming to the point, the dojutsu often forgotten is another dojutsu of the Six Paths, that appears to be even rarer than the Rinnegan. The Tenseigan. And it’s power is magnificent, as great as the Rinnegan in some ways, yet completely and utterly shrouded in mystery. That’s going to be the topic of today’s video. But by the end of the series, we learn that not only is Naruto the son of a Hokage, but he’s also the reincarnation of one of another Hokage. And to drive it home more, Neji sacrificed his life to protect Hinata. So instead of proving Neji wrong, all the series did was prove that Neji was right, and that people’s fates are determined from their birth and class. This actually left a bad taste in my mouth, despite the fact that I loved Naruto’s Otsutsuki origins and his connection to Hashirama Senju. But I know everyone wants to see it play out a little different. So let me show you a world where Naruto is no different from your average Shinobi. No Asura reincarnation, no Hokage connections, hell, no Nine-Tailed Demon Fox! Naruto is just a boy living by himself, unremarkable in anything, but possessing the drive to become Hokage. Naruto’s story up to the point of joining the academy is mostly the same, however, Naruto now has the inability to use ninjutsu. And because of that, it looks likely that he’ll never be able to become a genin. Distraught, by this, he begins to giive up hope until Might Guy appears. After an inspirational message, Might Guy trains Naruto super hard to awaken his Eight Inner Gates to bolster his strength. For this, Naruto trains to failure for a year. He then takes the exam again where he passes based on the merit of his hard work. He’s placed on Team Guy beside Tenten and Neji, and the quartet then make their way to the Land of Waves after receiving a mission there. Neji and Naruto manage to soundly beat Haku all on their own, and Might Guy proves to be Zabuza’s superior in every way as well, and the Land of Waves manages to be free of Gato’s influence. However, upon returning home, Guy realizes that the Chunin Exams are coming, and decides to include his team in the exams. And that’s about where we stopped. He’s basically our first glimpse into what a completed Naruto who have looked like. And that’s why Minato’s return in the Fourth Shinobi World War meant so much. His return was meant to allow us to compare Naruto to the hero we venerated for so long. We were able to see that they both were one in the same. We even got to learn more about the Flying Raijin Jutsu, showing that it’s so hard to learn that four skilled jonin, personally trained by Minato, had to work together just to pull it off once. That set the bar high. Then Naruto pulls up with Minato and they both can pull it off easy peasy. Minato’s return had an impact on both the emotional states of the audience and characters, but also served as the passing on of a torch. The Will of Fire. That’s why the return of Minato had such deep impact, and why he will always be one of the better characters of Naruto. Not just because he was badass, but because he was the proper way to set up a hero for greatness. To show the hero a person they can never compare to, give that character drive, and then watch as they work to equal and then surpass that hero. It’s beautiful. But that’s not the point. The point is, Jiraiya’s not above raising kids. But my question is why he didn’t train them anywhere else. I understand that Amegakure was their home, and I further understand that their dreams were centered around Amegakure. To be peacekeepers and to be like Hanzo, which I’m sure made Jiriaya cringe. A lot. But what if he had just decided to bring them back to Konoha with him? Surely if he had, something might have changed? Or perhaps they would have remained undeterred. After all, Nagato, Konan, and Yahiko were originally driven by what we call “Holy Fire”. Their dreams weren’t just pushed forward by one’s own desire, but because they were what was good, and they felt obligated to do what was good. So in the end, there is no change to the fact that they would want to bring peace. But perhaps, what would change is their fall. After all, in Konoha, they would be able to meet a bunch of people that would eventually cause a lot of change in their lives, as well as the world, and I’m interested to see how this will change things.
