100 LAYERS OF FROSTING Meryland 2016-09-09 | I decided to jump on the 100 layer trend and do 100 layers of frosting! I wanted to make a rainbow frosting cake so I used my own food colors and mixed them to create an amazing frosting mountain cake! I started frosting at 10:40 and I finished at 5:55. The entire mound of frosting with cake weighed in at 15 lbs! It was a really hot day when I made this --and for some reason I decided to do it all outside, so I had to freeze it quite a few times! San Francisco Day Trips Meryland 2015-08-12 | We're doing San Francisco Day Trips! Today we are road tripping outside of San Francisco, across the Golden Gate Bridge and Beyond! Marin County is one of my favorite areas in all of Northern California, and I have found some of the best spots to take you! First I'll show you a great place to watch surfers and barges underneath the Golden Gate Bridge, then we'll make our way across the bridge to Marin County, where we'll head over to Muir Beach, taking a pit stop in Fairfax to eat at The Hummingbird and then get some natural goodies at Good Earth Natural Foods.From there, we'll make the trek to Point Reyes Lighthouse, stopping by Straus Family Creamery to watch newborn calves take their first steps! You'll enjoy a beautiful view of the Pacific ocean from the Point Reyes Lighthouse and then we'll head back to Fairfax to eat my favorite ice cream in the entire world! Fairfax Scoop! Don't forget to try the Vanilla Honey Lavender.....the Toasted Sesame and Blackberry are really good too! It's finally time for dinner at Sol Food in San Rafael. If you go, definitely order the Pollo Al Horno with sweet plantains and pink beans. And you must try their Orange Mango Ice Tea - it's heavenly!! Dominique Ansel Cronut Review (NYC Food Tour Part 2) Meryland 2015-05-06 | The day has come! To review the original Cronut! The pastry that put Dominique Ansel on the map! Half croissant, half doughnut, whole party in my mouth! I finally decided to take my chances and try the Cronut pre-order. Server crashes and all, you will see what it takes to get your hands on a Cronut. During the process, I felt like a miniature poodle trying to jump through Dominique Ansel's little hoops, but I finally made it and my prize was little piece of Strawberry Rhubarb heaven. This is hopefully one of the last dessert videos I make this season, so watch me stuff my face full 'o pastries for the last time or until next time!
