I make a fun kids' play area with a framed chalkboard and a busy board for toddlers. These activity boards should help the development of fine motor skills and imagination for our toddler grandson and his little friends when we are babysitting.
It's a very cheap DIY project, and I think it fits a kid's educational toys that we should be giving our children access to.
I will change the items on the busy board to more complicated items as he grows up It is easy to change things and will keep him interested with new things to discover and feel.
We also have a sandpit and a soft rubber floor mat for him in the children's play area; the kids seem to love it.
Always use all the correct safety gear, and use your tools safely. I am not a good role model for this.
