I got fed up with a motley selection of button die holders because (a) I didn't have enough of them and (b) they all had mismatched set screw types.
I reasoned that they should be easy enough to make using the lathe but it turned out to be a bit of an adventure trying to find the most appropriate technique that was efficient and accurate. I also wanted the finished die holders to be aesthetically pleasing which meant having a nice balanced profile and blended forms.
This is what I came up with....
