The real tea is, knowing what exactly is triggering your bloating! Hehe depending on the root cause, these recipes may or may not do the trick for you but here they are written out.
Quinoa Bowl Mix together cooked quinoa, cucumbers, sweet potato, cherry tomatoes, cilantro or mint, with optional chickpeas and some pomegranate seeds. Top with a dressing of tahini, lemon, maple syrup, and water mixed till the right consistency is formed. Add any of your favorite protein on top!
Green Tea Chia Pudding After boiling and straining green tea in 2 cups of coconut or almond milk. Cool and mix with 6 tablespoons of chia seeds, 1/2 tablespoon of maple syrup, optional 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt. Option to add 1/2 cup oats for extra thickness.. Let sit over night and layer with fruit.
Mushroom Tacos Saute portobello mushrooms with sweet/mild paprika, cumin, oregano, coriander and smoked paprika with coconut aminos. Char red peppers and optional corn on a skillet. Plate over corn tortillas with onion free guac and salsa. Option to add Spanish rice and beans.
Tom Kha Soup Begin by sautéing ginger, and Low FODMAP veggies of choice. (such as carrots, peas, bok choy, zucchini, mushrooms, eggplant, cabbage, or bell peppers) then add 2 cans of coconut milk with 1.5 cups of water. Boil with Tom Kha and Red curry paste (I found mine at my local market and followed the serving size accordingly). Add salt +Simmer pepper to taste and simmer until everything is fully cooked. Top with a squeeze of lime and cilantro. Option to add chickpeas or any non irritating beans to this and eat with rice.

I have recently been going through some gut heath issues and have slowly started trying a Low FODMAP diet, but as I am just dipping my toes in, not all of these are strictly Low FODMAP, however, you can easily tweak the recipes as needed and omit those specific ingredients.

- RECIPES - Cucumber salad 6 Persian Cucumbers sliced into coins 1 Cup Radicchio chopped 1/2 small red Onion finely sliced 1/2 Sup Parsley finely chopped 1 Cup Cherry Tomatoes halved 1-2 Avocados chopped Dressing: 1/3 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1 Lemon juiced; you can use 2 lemons if you like your dressing extra tangy like I do 1 Tablespoon Sumac salt & pepper to taste
Kale Salad 1 Bunch Curly Kale 1 Avocado (optional) White Beans drained and rinsed 1/3 Cup Hemp Hearts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds Dressing: 1/4 Cup Olive Oil 1/4 Cup Lemon Juice 1-2 Tablespoons Maple Syrup 2 Teaspoons Dijon Mustard (optional) garlic powder to taste Salt & Black Pepper to taste
Mac & cheese **season it like crazy. It’s of course not going to replace cheese but it does provide a nice cheese texture and can be amplified by whatever goodness you season it with Gluten free Mac noodles & breadcrumbs 1.5 Tbsp coconut oil or vegan butter 3 Tbsps brown rice flour or gluten free flour of your choice Juice of one lemon 2 - 2 1/2 Cups unsweetened almond milk (or any you prefer) 1/3 Cup nutritional yeast Salt and pepper to taste Herbs of your choice!
Kabocha Soup 1 Kabocha squash 2.5 Cups low FODMAP vegetable broth 1 Carrot 1/2 Can of beans or tofu A Handful of leafy greens 1/2 Cup canned coconut milk (optional) Season with: 2 Teaspoons freshly grated ginger root 1 teaspoon turmeric (optional) cinnamon, curry spice mix, salt & pepper to taste 1 tablespoon white miso, use gluten free if following a GF diet (optional) Garnish with lemon, pumpkin seeds and cilantro
Sweet potato pancakes 2 Cups gluten-free flour 2 Tsp baking powder A pinch of salt 1 Cup sweet potato 1 1/4 cup Unsweetened almond milk 2 Tsp flaxseed 2 Tbsp maple syrup A handful of berries chopped nuts or seeds for toppings & more syrup
Berry Cobbler This has absolutely No measurements because I forgot to measure while cooking. But the ingredients are a blend of whatever gluten free flours you have on hand or to use solely oats as the topping, mixed with a little bit of maple syrup, cinnamon, 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder, a pinch of salt mixed with unsweetened almond flour until a crumbly dough forms. And for the filling I used whatever berries I had mixed with a squeeze of lemon, a dusting of tapioca flour to make it more binded, and a light drizzle of maple syrup is optional. Lay the flour mixture on top of the berries and sprinkle with oats. As long as you get a dough like texture on top, then baking at 375 until golden brown will leave you with a perfect cobbler. I topped with Cocojune turmeric vanilla yogurt!

Normally I would do pranayama and meditation at both the start and end of a sequence but I wanted this practice to be accessible for a busy schedule. Always modify if needed and take extra time for meditation at the beginning and end!

- YOGA TRANINGS - ** This Current Training : 300Hr Advanced Hatha at Ayur Yoga Eco Ashram Mysore - traditional yoga that challenged me in the best ways - 10/10 accommodations, food, and nature! - really honest intelligent teachers that were easy to talk to - loved learning about Ayurveda - felt like there could have been more focus on meditation
OVERALL: I really fell in love with this place, the people, and the practice here. It immediately felt like home and I know I'm going to return in the future. All the staff were so kind, accommodating and really cared about my experience. The yoga classes were very good but we did the same sequence throughout the whole month based on the chakras so I felt a little bored by the end, I think it would have been fun to switch it up and learn different ways to sequence. I loved all the teachers and found them incredibly intelligent, they always had really thoughtful answers to my questions. Because the ashram is on a farm you can pick fresh fruits and herbs every day on your way to class, it's pretty amazing. Lastly, the price range is really good considering everything this training comes with. They gave me a 5% discount code for you to use but this video is Not sponsored! My First Training : 200HR Moon Sun Fire Hatha at The Practice Bali - rooted in tradition - amazing philosophy classes - teachers are really there to answer Qs and help -10/10 anatomy, sequencing, and teaching classes - A bit pricey & didn't include living situation
OVERALL: I would recommend this training if you have the means! You have to pay for accommodations and at least one meal a day on top of the training. It was incredibly well rounded and I felt like they really cared about each students evolutionary path. The main teacher is a bit dogmatic when it comes to traditional Hatha yoga, which I understand, but everyone connects to yoga and can benefit from it in their own way! None of the teachers I learned from were POC if that is something that would sway your decision.Regardless it is a really good practice and this training helped me heal so many of my mental health issues.
My Second Training : 200HR Primary Series at Tattva Yogashala Rishikesh - the ashtanga primary series is so amazing to learn - The adjustments class was really good - The philosophy didn't go as deep as I would have liked - So reasonable ( training included the room and two meals a day for the month )
OVERALL: Wouldn't recommend this training because it wasn't super personal, the teachers couldn't remember my name and kept talking to me in Chinese when I don't even speak it lol. Even though I was really inspired by the main teacher, there were several trainings going on at once and it was clear he was spread thin. I did learn a lot and think they tried to make it special with evening parties and weekend activities, but it seemed like they didn't care about who was there or try to form a relationship with the students. I feel bad saying anything negative about this school because I know they're just trying to create a successful business and share yoga with the world but I also want to be completely honest. And perhaps the price think the price is actually adequate for what you get! It is under 2k which is the most affordable training I've seen. Keeping the integrity of the Yoga alive in its most traditional form is very important to me.
