Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a German Lutheran pastor, most famous for his involvement in a plot to assassinate Hitler in World War 2, for which he was imprisoned and eventually executed. For this reason, he's widely considered a martyr. His books including "The Cost of Discipleship" have been held up as classics, and several movies have been made about his life, including a film released in 2024. But how much of his theology was actually sound?
