This came from a synth museum that shut down. I just had it calibrated by a tech who also redid the keybed and took apart the sliders and cleaned them, this is exerts from my first 2 hours with it, it's wild and a sound design dream. it is available for purchase, as much as I'd love to keep it, it is for sale. This was all recorded DAWless via a cellphone camera, no effects and processing.

paypal.me/24framemedia?locale.x=en_USSM-01 6 voice analog Polysynth24framemedia2022-07-14 | 6 voice polysynth, made in Austrailia by Jim Smiley. The oscillators and filters are discrete and close copies of the oscillators and filters in the legendary minimoog. The LFO on this is fast, it quickly enters into FM territory and can even simulate ring mod type timbres. The LFO does sine, square, triangle from left to right, the oscillators do sine, triangle, square and then there are two additional unlabeled positions which are a combo of waveshapes? There is pulse width modulation on the oscillators and each of the six voices is fully detunable separately per oscillator!Audio Disruption Devices Optical Ring V324framemedia2022-07-01 | Audio Disruption Devices Optical Ring V3,
The optical ring is a unique and dynamic ring modulator. With a carrier frequency created by an internal optical theremin, and modulated by clipping LEDS, the sound can warp based on your attack. It has three controls: ring (a blend between fuzz and ring modulation), output (volume), and frequency (sets the pitch of the theremin oscillator). In addition, a gain toggle effects fuzz character and ring mod threshold, and a shift toggle opens up traditional robot-like ring modulation, glitchy fuzz, or stuttering tremolo sounds.

paypal.me/24framemedia?locale.x=en_USThe Sounds of the EML Synkey, the punch card synth from 197624framemedia2022-05-28 | All sounds from the EML Synkey except the background sequences towards the end which were made with the MFB Dominion 1
The EML Synkey was originally created in 1976 with a punch card reader to save presets, supposedly around 47 were made before they changed it and discontinued the punch card reader. It shares the same Oscillator and Ring Mod as the legendary EML 101. One of the beefiest oscillators I've ever heard and the ring mod is out of this world. the synth uses a divide down circuit to create semitones across the entire octave so one can make chords with a single key press since the synth is monophonic. There's a variable state filter sweepable between low pass, band pass and high pass. The synth was used by both Herbie Hancock and Frank Zappa.

V2 demo24framemedia2022-04-01 | A demo of the Lo-fi Atmosphere Generator from Audio Disruption Devices, this is his latest version the v2, a dual delay with the ability to modulate either delay line in 4 distinct ways, first with a photocell for theremin like effect over the modulation, there's a random setting, square waveform modulation and triangle waveform modulation. There are internal trimmers to extend the delay time of each delay line which adds noise and lo-fi degradation. There's also an internal trimmer for master volume. The delay lines can be run in series or parallel or in-between.

The MMXX T-APE is based on byte beat, it is a sequencer, an arpeggiator, a keyboard with 8 keys, it can be used as a sampler but right now only if you know Python would you be able to load anything onto it. It has onboard delay, reverb and flanger, you can layer, arrange, cut up, speed up slow down or change pitch of a note or sound. There's a ton of potential to get creative with this thing. I've barely scratched the surface here and hope to make time for more videos on this in the future!

paypal.me/24framemedia?locale.x=en_USEzhi&Aka - Sir Glitchy, an experimental dual delay pedal24framemedia2021-07-10 | A few weeks ago I did a video on a pedal called Sir Glitchy from Ezhi&Aka, from conversations I have had with the builder these were very rare and everyone built was a bit different. Essentially they are all delay based circuits capable of producing wild and strange radio type Interference, static pops, weird glitches, noise, etc. Essentially attempting to simulate the sounds produced from turning the dial on an old radio. This is yet another example. This one is wildly different than the last one in that it offers two separate delay circuits with a toggle switch to select either one delay or both, all knobs, delay time, feedback, mix, etc. all interact with one another allowing for different chaotic sounds. There is also an IR sensor and a "chaos" button to allow for further manipulation of these sounds. A wildly experimental pedal in that it is nearly impossible to duplicate the same artifacts with the settings, it's almost as if the pedal is alive. It's also not just a guitar pedal in the sense that one can create artifacts by just turning the knobs without an incoming signal source. I hope you enjoy the journey of my experimentation with this pedal. #ezhiandaka #geardemo #guitarpedal #24framemedia

paypal.me/24framemedia?locale.x=en_USEzhi & Aka Sir Glitchy24framemedia2021-06-12 | This is the Sir Glitchy by Ezhi and Aka, it is a delay pedal with a glitchy envelope. Only about 5 were ever made, it's pretty sonically impressive, wild and a lot of fun!
EDIT: I found out from Alexey there were many different iterations of the Sir Glitchy, essentially only a couple of each version were produced as these were all PERF boards so all were a bit different, this one being an expanded version. I also have a simpler version of it that has two delays and an IR sensor also dubbed Sir Glitchy, I will be doing a video of that version in the near future.
I used the Shift Line Force at the beginning of the video to add a little reverb. Otherwise just the Sir Glitchy was used, no DAW, no other effects, just my Fender Telecaster and my Orange Rocker 32 2x10 amp. #ezhiandaka #guitarpedal #geardemo #24framemedia

paypal.me/24framemedia?locale.x=en_USSounds of the 100f, is the Teisco/Kawai 100f the greatest single VCO mono synth?24framemedia2021-05-15 | the 100f the greatest single VCO monosynth of all time It?
It is my opinion that the Teisco 100f might be the most powerful, unique and interesting single VCO monosynth of all time! The 100f was manufactured under both the Teisco and the Kawai name, both are extremely rare however the Teisco branded version seems to be the rarer of the two. To my knowledge both are identical builds outside of branding. So is the 100f the greatest single VCO mono synth of all time, it''s certainly the weirdest and perhaps one of the rarer synths in existence. Kawai bought Teisco in 1967, by 1969 Kawai had stopped making guitars under the Teisco name but continued to make synthesizers under both names until the early 80's. The 100f was released in 1977.
The 100f has the beefiest most resonant filter I have ever heard! There's also a high pass filter, an LFO that dives well below audio rate allowing for some really interesting modulation. Routing possibilities that allow for external audio processing,, modulating envelopes, filter modulation. There are two envelopes, audio in, cv, three modes of portmento, delay/vibrato, noise, your typical saw, triangle and square waveforms. The VCO is also capable of going below audio rate, there'sa 64' setting and one just labeled LOW where you can actually tune it from inaudible to audio rate range. It's a treasure trove of all the sci-fi vides you could want and an excellent beefy simple mono synth as well. it does bread and butter which I don't cover here and full on weird, of which you will get plenty of here! Enjoy! #teisco100f #vintagesynthesizer #geardemo #24framemedia

instagram.com/24framemediaModal Electronics 00224framemedia2021-05-09 | A little down and dirty quick promo I did for the Modal Electronics 002. Released back in 2014, I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to play this amazing synth and have it as a part of my collection. It is a truly unique synthesizer with 12 voices, 2 oscillators and two sub oscillators per voice. A performance mode that allows you to split and layer featuring a dedicated sequencer and animator per split. A completely analog signal path aside from the NCO's which offer a very unique wavetable style oscillator similar to PPG. This is an inspiring instrument that is a joy to play and create with and I can truly feel the passion and love for synthesis that went into building it. #modal002 #promo #dawless #24framemedia

instagram.com/24framemediaKorg MS-20 as a duophonic synth24framemedia2021-05-01 | I knew the MS-20 could be patched to play duophonic, however today I discovered a new method of doing so which allows for the allocation of one VCO sent to the SQ-1 while playing along with the other VCO, this method also works better than the traditional duophonic patch even though it isn't hugely different patch cable wise. Patch settings are as follows, Clock from S&H to trigger out in the ESP, signal in from the ESP to the headphone jack, keyboard CV out to S&H in, then you need a stackable cable going from VCO 2 CV in to CV out on the SQ-1 and another patch cable going from VCO 2 CV in to S&H out. On the ESP the threshold level needs to me at about 8-9, and signal level around 7. #korgms20 #duophinicsyth #modularsynth #24framemedia
