Susie and Kris arrive at what appears to be Gerson's study. All they have to do is reach him and see if he can give them the code to the Grand Door. However, the path to him slowly grows darker and darker, until it gets so dark that the duo cannot rely on their sight. Eventually, they end up hearing strange noises, prompting them to move around in the dark, until Susie slips and falls down...! She then continues to wander around, leaving Kris to close their eyes and think about how she might be doing. Meanwhile, Susie appears to spot the Old Man in front of her, but when she tries to talk to him, he slowly moves towards her, before suddenly leaping up to attack! Susie is trapped in a battle where she cannot rely on her sight, but instead on her hearing... And is unable to get through to Gerson with words alone! When the Old Man moves to strike again, Kris arrives, knocking him back with their shield! The two are left with little other options but to stall... That is, until Susie starts to use her Healing magic. When she fires it at the other, it doesn't appear to bear the same face as the Old Man...! This is further compounded when Ralsei arrives and strikes it from behind, causing him to crumble into pieces! When the lights flash back on, Ralsei explains that what Susie and Kris were fighting was a statue that appeared in the study, and the Old Man is not in Susie's Dark World... In addition, he wouldn't be able to be brought to Castle Town either...! This revelation greatly upsets Susie, who shouts at the Dark Prince, demanding to know things like that much earlier... Poor Ralsei bursts into tears because of how much he knows, stating that he wanted to stay ahead of the others, due to not wanting them to know how the prophecy ends... Eventually, though, Susie and Ralsei are able to make up, with the latter promising to be more honest, before the group then departs, without any leads on the code they need...
