It was unthinkable. Sgt. Matthew Westerbeck of @DCFireandEMS was engulfed in flames when a car exploded and severely burned most of his face. He was taken to the Burn Center at MedStar Washington Hospital Center for treatment and recovery. It took many months to heal from his burn wounds, and he required multiple laser scar revisions to improve both the functionality of his face and appearance of his scars. Watch now, as Sgt.
