Dee used to feel like dating required total honesty about everything happening in her head. If she had a crush in the past, an intrusive thought, or even worried that she might be leaving out a detail, she felt compelled to confess it to her partner. In one relationship, she kept explaining feelings about an old manager until her boyfriend finally told her to stop — and even then, OCD made her feel guilty for not finishing the story.

In this video, Dee looks back on what dating with OCD actually taught her. She also opens up about being in a relationship where her biggest OCD fears were later used against her during arguments, and why learning to trust herself again changed the way she approaches dating now.

Dee has managed her OCD with ERP therapy, the most effective treatment for OCD. Want to explore your treatment options? Book a free 15-minute call with us at learn.nocd.com/YT
