Electronic systems are getting more powerful and generating more heat, creating performance and reliability challenges across defense and commercial applications.

Laser Thermal is developing measurement tools to help researchers and manufacturers better understand and manage those thermal challenges. Through a DARPA Direct-to-Phase II SBIR award, the company accelerated its technology from a lab-based implementation toward a more versatile, deployable platform.

Now, DARPA’s Embedded Entrepreneur Initiative (EEI) is helping Laser Thermal identify pathways to broader adoption through commercialization expertise, mentorship, and market insight.

In this video, Laser Thermal’s Brian Foley discusses the company’s work with DARPA and how EEI is helping position its technology for greater impact.
