In Daniel 5, the chilling phrase “Mene Mene Tekel Parsin” appeared on a palace wall during King Belshazzar’s drunken banquet in Babylon.
Mene – God has numbered your kingdom and brought it to an end.
Tekel – You have been weighed and found wanting.
Parsin – Your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.
That very night, Belshazzar was slain, and the Babylonian empire collapsed—without a battle.
📖 Daniel 5:26–28 (ESV) – “This is the interpretation of the matter: Mene, God has numbered the days of your kingdom and brought it to an end; Tekel, you have been weighed in the balances and found wanting; Peres, your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”
