TL:DR - This is what happens when you layer Dan Stevens & Josh Groban's versions of "Evermore" together. They're in wildly different keys and the results were too hilariously upsetting to not share! Also, understandably Disney is going to claim this video. I'm cool with that, this is just for giggles.
Full version: So the other day I went to see 2017 Edition Beauty & The Beast. I adored it. Glorious film. I loved some of the little extra character details and it felt much more of a refinement than a remake.
The main thing I loved was Dan Stevens' Beast. Firstly I want to hug him he's just so fluffly. Secondly his voice is divine and I wish I could be half as fabulous. His CGI blended perfectly and overall was great. Then Evermore happened...I'll be honest I'm still not quite sure how I feel about the song. But in all honesty I think I probably liked it. What I DID notice though was the odd key it was in. Especially since it's miles away from the Josh Groban version I heard earlier today. Thus I decided (as a music editor) to pop them together.
Needless to say the frankenstein result was so terrifyingly transfixing I couldn't not share it. Especially when I realised nobody else on Youtube had done it. It'd be cruel to deprive the people of this bizarre mish-mash!
I don't own either version of the song. Or the films, or anything really. Disney owns all of it and is well deserving of the rights. This is just a non-profit, for-fun edit goof to demonstrate an exercise in song-keys. No harm intended. And hey Disney, if you want this gone. Just drop me a line and it's gone.
