I can't help that I just had some ideas pop in to my mind and they were easy to turn into videos for Youtube. So, yet another regular Youtube cover nothing special.. ugh mistakes... everywhere.. I always wanted to sort of show my love for the Guilty Gear series, however, as we all know by now, the soundtrack is already metal so covering it the way I do would just be a rehash of what it already is. Instead, I just went with doing a regular guitar cover with the song in the background. That's good enough eh?This is the song "Meet Again" played on Justice's stage. I always really liked this song I don't know why. It's just a great song, as is most of the GGXX soundtrack.The solos are kind of improvised in some spots that's more of just adding my own sort of style to it and because it's a bit fast to figure out.Well I hope you don't hate it.

Thunder Force IV - Stage 1-4 Inner Boss Medley (Cover) Julian 2015-10-11 | Composers: Toshiharu Yamanishi, Takeshi Yoshida, Naosuke AraiWell then, this medley was prompted by a request from certain @zfunk007 on Twitter who wanted a cover of the intro theme. He also has a Youtube channel which has some very interesting videos and feats centered around Shmups, youtube.com/user/THESHMUPMASTER I was certainly ready for this cover though. I fuckin' love the Thunder Force 4 soundtrack or Lightening Force as it's called in America. I would've eventually covered something on my own had he not requested sooner heh. The soundtrack was obviously made with metal in mind. I think the more subdued electronic tracks like the Stage select and Ruin stuff were also some of my favorites as well. I probably will cover the rest of the Boss themes in the future. I consider this one the "Inner Boss Medley" since these are the four you can choose at the start of the game. I felt doing all of boss themes would have taken a good few months for arranging and then recording. Consider this a two parter of sorts. It can be quite relaxing just like this game is as a whole. It's certainly a nice change of pace from all the bombastic games we get. Not that there's a problem with that heh. So these two songs appear separately in the 2001 PS2 game ICO.Wow! This one took quite some time and planning even though it's just kind of a short song. The mashup also kind of happened by accident when I heard how these two songs can actually fit well together. It took minimal tweaking to run them together. Though, it still took a minute for me to figure out how I wanted to put it together and what part of each song I wanted to put where. This is certainly a cover full of many more firsts for me. I actually had to mic an acoustic guitar and I got decent results with the equipment I have but I'll probably need to get a nice mic for that stuff next time. Also, I didn't want to go full on metal with this one as I normally do because i feel it wouldn't fit the mood but of course, there are some distorted guitars for added punch and to just heighten the mood.Well I hope you don't hate it.

So this song first appeared in the NES port of Gauntlet and has since followed with the series throughout it's sequels, ports and other incarnations. Strangely enough, I could have sworn I remembered this song in the original arcade version as well. I happened to have a port of it and there's barely any music in that game actually heh.This is actually one of the first songs that I wanted to cover from the get go of doing this whole thing. It's just that this song has a bunch of little intricate passages and things that took a minute for me to get down. It's finally done....to the best of my ability... I'll probably revisit the song at some point... I added a few things here and there to spice it up as well, if you're a keen listener, you could probably hear something reminiscent of the arrangement from Gauntlet Legends. It was my first foray into the series and I thought I should add a little something to attribute to that game.Well I hope you don't hate it.
Ys I & II - Feena (Ys I Intro)(Keyboard Cover) Julian 2014-12-13 | Composer: Yuzo KoshiroGood old classic action RPG compilation on the TurboGrafx CD aka the PC Engine CD-ROM. Oh, I love this intro. It made me kinda nostalgic when I first heard it even though I had never played the game before. I guess it's because of the old video game-y synth sound heh. The Wii VC is great for letting me play this. Anyway, this came up kind of randomly because I was just messing around on the keyboard one day and it just sorta hit me to try and cover this song. I thought it would be interesting to see if I could do all of the different layers and stuff. For the most part, I am pleased. I mean it's just a cover anyway not really an arrangement like I normally do so it doesn't have to sound perfect heh.

FUN! So "Confrontation" first appeared in Soul Calibur 2 on the Gamecube, PS2, Xbox and arcade.It's the theme of Necrid as well as the Lakeside Coliseum stage. It can also be heard in Soul Calibur 3 for the PS2 and arcade. I'm not completely sure what prompted me to choose this song in particular to cover. I like all of SC2's music. I guess it was easy to translate to metal. It is probably my biggest released "project" to date. I had all kinds of layers of different stuff going on in here. I also added my own solos with a bit of a twist in the first trade off section of them. You'll probably notice some small familiar melodies if you really liked the other songs in the Soul Calibur 2 OST. Such as "Brave Sword, Braver Soul" (Taki's Theme) and "History Unfolds" (Character Select Theme). It goes by a bit quick but hopefully they are somewhat recognizable.Well I hope you don't hate it.

It just ended up being a kind of quick cover so naturally, me being sloppy at guitar, I mess up a little here and there. So, yet again it has been forever. I know, I suck at this Youtube thing. Sorry about that but anyway, here's another cover from the awesome shmup, Lords of Thunder also known as Winds of Thunder in Japan. Both titles are so fucking metal! The game was released on the TG16/PCE and the Sega CD/Mega CD. I kind of just recently got this game on Wii VC but when I heard the soundtrack, I just had to do a cover of something from it.This song is a bit weird. On the TG16/PCE, it is heard on the Bosque stage whereas on the Sega/Mega CD, it's heard on the last stage which I guess is why I've seen this song with several different names. This particular version is from the Sega/Mega CD.

I love this game. This song appears in stage 1 and 4 of Raiden in the arcade and on subsequent console ports etc. It's a great song that's already kind of metal on it's own. I just used guitars and added a solo heh.I bought a new amp modeler and I decided to use it through this whole thing. That's why the mixing sounds different. I hope it's not too bad. I like the leads I can make with it but I feel like I like the rhythm sounds of the other one better heh.Anyway, I hope you don't hate it.

Could this in fact be a metal Castlevania cover? I'm just kidding all Castlevania music NEEDS to be covered in a metal style! This one in particular is a song that I liked but it hasn't really gotten much attention. The song first appeared in Stage 2 of Castlevania Bloodlines on the Sega Genesis and can also be heard in CV: Legacy of Darkness on the N64 and CV: Circle of the Moon on GBA.With this cover, I was really trying to go for more of the Genesis version but ended up more like the N64 version. You can hear it especially in the intro. I also had the idea to combine all three versions. I would have loved to have learned the bass line to the GBA's incarnation but I didn't ever get around to. Man was it a real BITCH to get this just right. The chord changes were just so awkward to me. The drums really threw me off on that but it can't really be metal without drums can it? This song gave me soo many problems so please go easy. I tried my best to get it somewhat decent.I hope you don't hate it.

I thought this was such an awesome song I felt it had to be made into metal! It's kinda sad that the official song ends after about a minute. Even in the game it's quite short hehe. There's only two parts to the song which is pretty much why I try to change it up each go. I wanted it to at least build up to the end...Well, hope you don't hate it.
