Pet Shop Boys - SMASH Blu-ray bonus Instrumental edits [Official] Pacalo 2023-06-29 | Another of the nice surprises on the new 2023 Smash release is that we have as intro on each of the Blurays, two special instrumental edits of their first hits "West End girls" and "Opportunities". None of this tracks were ever released oficially as instrumentals, so this is the first time we can hear them this way, even when it´s in a short edited form. Specially interesting is the ending of West End girls, wich is a previously unheard ending..maybe the ending of the original version if the fade out were not applied at the end??EDIT: as the user tech8622 mentioned, it seems that the ending on this "Smash" version of 'West End girls" was used on their performanve at the MTV Music Awards on 1986. Sadly that performance is not available on Youtube at this moment for everyone to check, but I didi it with a (very bad quality) copy I have on my personal collection, and I agree that is the same ending!.If you like the music, please buy Smash! ;)

Pet Shop Boys - It´s a sin, Opportunities, What have I done (First Demos) [snippets) [UNRELEASED] Pacalo 2023-04-22 | Well, here we have the very beginning of the Pet Shop Boys legend. Whatever else you might hear around here came after this first two demos...and the history of pop music from the 80's to today would have been very different if these hadn't existed. These were the original demos presented to Bobby Orlando to convince him to make a record with them in 1984 (I think I prefer this original demos more than the later Bobby Orlando produced versions, already around on Youtube!). The third one, is a later work but also highly interesting pre-Dusty Springfield version featuring the vocals of Alle Willis, who co-authored the song with them.I hope I can surprise several fans with these rarities, and that they will enjoy them as I do.If you like the music, please support the artists!
Pet Shop Boys - Opportunities (Tetris Film full version) (re-mixed by Steve Lipson, 2023) Pacalo 2023-04-05 | Oh well, what a surprise! As the official Soundtrack of the recent "Teris" movie only includes the original 1986 version, and not the actual film version wich is different, here is the full music of the last scene of the movie and credits..featuring a new and unique remix of this classic PSB tune merged with the Tetris game music plus and added long and moody intro, a brillian combination! PLUS, it was re-mixed (according to the movie credits) by the one and lonely Steve (why not "Stephen"?) Lipson!!!!As it isn´t available anywhere else at this moment, this one was taken directly form the movie, adjusted levels, remastered and cleaned from undesired dialogs using AI software, so sorry if some artifacts and sound effects are still there in the background, but it's the best I was able to do using today´s tools. I hope at some point this version will have a proper release, but in the meantime... ;)If you like the music please support the artists.

Pet Shop Boys - Yesterday, When I Was Mad (Junior Vasquez Radio Mix) (1994) [UNRELEASED] Pacalo 2023-02-23 | Of the many Junios Vasquez remixes of this single form the "Very" album, only three Dub versions were officially released (Fabulous Dub, Factory Dub and Body Dub). The production and arrangements on them always seemed somewhat disconnected to the original song, because no vocal mix was ever released to recoignise the link between the original and the Vasquez productions, but that link do exists and finally thanks to this unreleased radio version we can discover how the music elements are related.Also, after hearing this one, we can recognise that the vinyl only "Body Dub" is just a variation around this mix: it has the same lenght and basic structure of the radio edit, and even some vocals are in synch between them if you press play on both mixes at the same time. ;)I hope you´ll also find this enlightening, as I did. ;)If you like the musc, please support the artists!

(Sarm West slave mixdown) (1990) [UNRELEASED] Pacalo 2023-02-21 | I´m glad to share again in exclusive for this channel another unreleased gem from the Boys.This time here we have a very carefully made "mixdown" taken from the original Sarm West Studio multitrack tapes (keeping only the native included tracks with the correct channels separation and level adjustments to keep the sound clean) of what seems to be an alternate remix of the "Behaviour" album single "How Can You Expect To Be Taken Seriously?".The intention behind this mix is uncertain, but the same tapes also include an almost finished "album" version and this mix. Act (Claudia Brücken, Thomas Leer) - 12/1 Chance (1988) [RARE withdrawn mix] Pacalo 2023-02-03 | "Chance" was one of the four singles taken from the fabulous 1988 album "Laughter, Tears And Rage" by the duo "Act" (Claudia Brücken, Thomas Leer) from the ZTT catalogue, sponsored by the genius of Trevor Horn and Stephen Lipson.The mix became maybe the most rare and hard to get gem from their discography because, altough it was included on a commercial 12" single, it was withdrawn on day of release because of the uncleared sampling of ABBA's "Take A Chance On Me" around the 3:40 mark, and never released again on any re-íssue of the album nor in any compilation. Thompson Twins - Lay Your Hands On Me (US 7 Re-Mix) [1984, re-mixed by John Potoker] [RARE] Pacalo 2023-01-30 | The early remixograpphy of Thompson Twins is really intrincate, full of very numerous different mixes of every track, usually with very similar or the same mix name, and randomly distributed on similar releases with very few elements to recognise them.A lot of versions of "Lay Your Hands On me" were already re-released on later and recent CD compilations, but this one, only included on the UK gatefold edition of the 7" vinyl single, remain exclusive to that release to date, untitled just as "US Re-MIx", but indeed different to the also "US Re-Mix" from the 12" single (being the later one included on the 2014 "Remixes & Rarities" CD compilation). Pet Shop Boys - Left To My Own Devices (Frankie Knuckles Nightclub Version) [UNRELEASED!] Pacalo 2022-11-18 | Another urreleased gem, officially commisioned but rejected by the Pet Shop Boys on 1988. Only one of the many Frankie Knuckles remixes was "adopted" by the Boys, wich was the "Royal Piano Mix", a mostly instrumental version only included on an obscure CD-R for years, and recently on a Frankie Knuckes Remixes compilation. This one here was never officially released to date, and it was supposed to be the main vocal 12" of the Frankie mixes, the most complete version, altough very similar in structure to the "Introspective" album version. I prefer the "Temple LA Dub" version, already here on this channel, but this one is a very interesting listening of a release that never saw the light.If You like the music, please support the artists!

This time, an unreleased instrumental backing track of the main single from their 1988 Introspective album. As a very interesting and curious thing, it includes in the middle an spoken text by a male in Spanish saying: "No Juegues Con Fuego, te vas a quemar" ("Dont play with fire, you will burn yourself"), what it seems to be intended to be part of the song but finally discarded for all the released versions (even the "so called" "Spanish mixes" available in low quality tapes around), so we can hear that for the first time here.I hope you´ll enjoy it like I did!.If you like the music, please support the artists!
