[BSS] OUR LAST ANNOUNCEMENT Broken Stars Studio 2019-05-20 | The following was written on 20th September, 2018:As you can see, nothing has happened on this channel in more than a year. The studio's forum has been closed at least for a year or something around that. As we, the leaders, started to have more and more real life duties, the studio quite quickly fell between our fingers. We were sad and quite angry that people kept rapidly leaving. It was understandable that SSO had made some pretty bad moves and everyone was getting really frustrated with them. However, we were left with a continuously emptying studio with an enormous amount of potential, but not enough member nor interest. We felt like the members stopped caring. People rarely reacted to deadlines or reminders. Some members took parts from MEPs as soon as they opened, but never did anything to actually edit their parts; they would cancel their part only a few days before the deadline, when someone who would've actually made their part could have taken it instead. The priority communication platform, our forum, was being ignored, and instead important questions were asked in Discord, which did not yield answers in time. We tried to explain that the forum is our priority platform, ask questions there and you'll get answers. It didn't really seem to work, since the same continued.And the worst part? We did a huge amount of work for this studio, but some people just outright used that work for their own gain. We saw our old and even current members joining and founding new editing studios, like they'd just had come to visit to see how the job is done and then they'd abandon the sinking ship. The joining part wasn't bad, since editing hobbyists are usually in more than one studio; but founding a new studio just as your old one closes? We just simply couldn't shake the feeling of betrayal.So in our turn, we stopped caring. The studio's communication platforms went silent for some time before announcing the official closing to the members.This is our last message from this studio. After this we do not represent Broken Stars Studio any longer. We are individual editors and would wish to stay that way.Broken Stars Studio is closed and will not return.RegardsMerezone & seepran
