MHX handles the monster introductions differently; instead of playing a brief clip of the monster showing off its mechanics and fighting style, MHX instead chooses to show a brief, no more than ten seconds, clip of just the monster and its name (think of Smash 4's character reveals). It's a very disappointing downgrade from MH4U's monster introductions as it neither incorporates your Hunter into the scene nor does it really show what the monster is all about. Perhaps the worst part of it all is the fact that you CAN'T VIEW THEM AGAIN AFTER THE FIRST HUNT. I was not aware of this at the time and now there is no way for me to record them unless I start a new game all over again. I don't think it's worth the hassle of expending all that effort for such lackluster introductions. Instead, I will only be uploading the CG videos (this game only has 7 videos available in the Gallery) that showcase MHX's flagship bosses. Apologies if I got anyone's hopes up, there was no way for me to know that the introductions were going to be this disappointing.

This video will be comparing the effects of Focus on the Great Sword, Hammer, and Bow. The skill is highly debated among players; some insist on having it, while others choose to allocate their points elsewhere. Whatever side of the fence you sit on, hopefully this video can help affirm your position.
For comparison's sake, I have included footage from Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. The charge time is the exactly the same from both games, but if you were unsure, hopefully this clarifies that. The top portion of the screen, during the 4-screen split, is footage from Monster Hunter 4G, while the bottom portion is footage from Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. The left side is footage without Focus active and the right side is footage with it active.
