Warung returns to Yoshitoshi with a mystifying collaboration with French-born, Dimitri Nakov. All the stellar melodic hallmarks we’ve come to know and love from Warung are there, along with an attention-grabbing bassline and driving yet subtle percussion patterns that sets the stage perfectly for the confessional vocals to shine through like a spotlight in the mist. The package includes a brilliant hard-hitting acid dub with contributions from Claudio Ferreira, which truly turns the heat up a notch. This track has been an exclusive mainstay in Sharam’s sets throughout the pandemic and as clubs have reopened and we are thrilled to finally share it with the world.

Perhaps more than any other artist currently on the Yoshitoshi roster (excluding Sharam), Sinisa Tamamovic has a lasting legacy on Yoshitoshi. His work for the label dates back almost a decade, and his trademark chunky, driving bass lines have become essential elements in Sharam's sets. Sinisa returns now for another epic EP on the label that is chock full of the heavy, rolling grooves that the Bosnian producer is known for.
The title track 'Rings' boasts an abstract melodic hook that sounds like an alien transmission from another galaxy. Translation: PLAY ME! There's not much to it, but the steady repetitive groove is expertly crafted, keeping listeners constantly on edge with its tense, dissonant build ups. Next up - it's been a few years, but Dutch techno phenom Egbert is back on Yoshitoshi for the first time since 2011 with a hard-driving remix of 'Rings.' Egbert stays true to the original (something we wish more artists would do these days!), but adds plenty of his own flare to beef things up. Stuttery, frenetic drum hits jump in and out of the mix, adding an almost-IDM aspect to the music. Last we have 'Jam,' another original from Sinisa that throws frenzied synth riffs over some banging drums for seven minutes of techno thunder. If you need big trax that will keep dancers moving through the night, look no further.

The title track is nothing short of gargantuan. Its heavy, driving bass riffs and pounding drums are pulled straight from the techno bible, and CJ combines them with distorted vocals and acid square wave riffs that keep it lively over a big bottom end that roars through subwoofers like a monster. To kick things up a notch, we're very exctied to welcome German house honcho Mathias Kaden to Yoshitoshi with a remix of 'Eye Contact' that balances out CJ's brutal mix with a jacking house groove. Mathias is known for his funky and minimal tracks and his remix is as textbook as it gets, deploying bouncy bass and warm, classic-sounding drums and a breakdown to send the floors into a frenzy.
On the B-side CJ wraps up this great EP with 'Silver Spoon,' a slightly deeper but still energetic techno roller sporting a Detroit-style chord stab riff and plenty of percussion. One can't help to be transformed to another time and dimension with Silver Spoon. We think that place is a dark warehouse.

Olivier Giacomotto needs no introduction, but we're going to give you one anyway. The French DJ and producer has been a mainstay of the international techno scene for years, boasting top notch releases on Suara, Noir Music, Tronic, and many other influential labels. He made his Yoshitoshi debut in October with a stunning remix for label owner Sharam's 'Amnesi' and now returns with his own EP 'Elle / Lui,' a fantastic two-tracker that displays Olivier's refined diversity and prowess as a producer.
'Elle' is a standout A-side, a hypnotic groover that walks a fine line between melodic techno and darker sounds. Sustained pads and rhythmic synth hits develop throughout the track creating a trancelike and ethereal atmosphere, while dominating drum fills burst in like cannons. 'Lui' on the other hand is tribal at its finest and would fit perfectly in Burning Man-inspired sets, with its cacophony of percussion and trippy synth riffs. The track's dancing arpeggios morph through filter-modulated permutations as the groove propels itself forward with big conga hits and layered shakers. Both tracks will make bodies sweat in the club, and the EP is a consistently impressive showing from Olivier and a fine addition to Yoshitoshi's catalogue.

Christian Bonori made his Yoshitoshi debut back in 2016 with 'Unruliness,' a record that, true to its name, was a devastating force in the club and one of Sharam's secret weapons. While that record was a techno powerhouse, the Italian producer returns to Yoshitoshi with the State of Mind EP, a change of course for him that features two deeper cuts and a terrific remix from Frenchman Citizen Kain.
The title track is dark and dubby with plenty of twists and turns, making it a fine, modern house track. Don't let the deep vibe of 'State of Mind' fool you - it's a real builder that can create some epic moments on the floor. Citizen Kain joins the Yoshitoshi family with a heavy remix of the tune, turning the track into a peak time club demon with a techno meets nu-disco flavor. 'Berlin Atmosphere' is more straight-up deep house, with floating chord stabs and a laid back, shuffling groove that hearkens back to the deep, early Yoshitoshi sound. The EP is another fine showing from the label and a great addition to the catalogue, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Anyone who has seen videos from Sharam's recent sets or listened to episodes of Yoshitoshi Radio of late is aware that the Yoshitoshi label boss is sitting on a treasure trove of new music. After wrapping up the Collecti chapter of his career with two ace remix packs in late 2018, Sharam is kicking off the new year with a release he has been teasing for months: 'Lobi.'
The track takes its name from the Lobi tribe of Eastern Africa, its core sample lifted from a unique tribal song which Sharam loops into an earworm hook. Underneath this bit of aural ecstasy, Sharam lays down a thumping bass groove with an almost Latin flare. His signature DnB style bass fills cut in and out before a wistful 303 riff and uplifting piano chords build to an astounding climax. It's this final drop that has had crowds all over the world going nuts during Sharam's peak moments. It's a perfect way to kick off what is sure to be a huge year for Sharam, with tons of new music and the beginning of the celebrations for Yoshitoshi's 25th anniversary.

Aaryon has been making his name in the techno world with a slew of records on Noir Music, Parquet, Suara, and remixes for names like Olivier Giacomotto and Solee. The Spanish producer is known for expertly crafted tracks brimming with smooth melodic peaks, bold edgy hooks, and dark textures that sound excellent in a club. Aaryon now makes his Yoshitoshi debut with the Nos EP, which features three new creations which straddle the boundary between club-focused techno and experimental electronica.
We kick things off with “Ember,” a track that has become Sharam’s go-to set starter. Its extended vocal waxes poetic about mankind’s discovery of fire before laying down a dark and dreamy groove. Next up we have the title track “Nos,” a hard-driving and ethereal tune with fluttering synths and commanding bass stabs which build gradually to detuned and otherworldly melodies. Lastly, “Away,” a collaboration with Underher, ditches the 4x4 template for a complex triplet-based groove and is sure to catch clubbers by surprise with its ominous, pitched-down vocals and experimental flavor.

After a resoundingly successful first pack of Collecti remixes, Sharam is back with the second installment, and this time it's a Swiss double-header. First up is Zürich-based Animal Trainer, known for their deep and melodic take on techno, who reworked Sharam's 'Napoli' into an entirely new beast. The guys lifted the original's catchy acid riff and wove it into a complex tapestry of beautiful and ethereal melodies. Swirling synth leads and lush pads create a sonic atmosphere that transports listeners to another dimension, one where beauty and darkness coexist peacefully.
On the flip side, Khainz, at this point a label regular, delivers a more driving mix for big rooms and peak-time sets. The Luzern-based artist imparted his trademark brand of driving techno on 'Dubbi,' a track originally influenced by reggae and drum n' bass. Khainz's bold and brash mix makes great use of the original's arpeggiated lead, dropping it over pounding drums and raucous bass riffs. He again demonstrates his propensity for creating tracks that bang in the club while keeping the melodic hooks that Yoshitoshi is famous for at the forefront.
These two stellar remixes will conclude the Collecti chapter as Sharam focuses his attention on 2019, with new music and the 25th anniversary of Yoshitoshi Recordings.

The EP's A-side takes dancers on a 10-minute journey through dark sonic depths populated with massive kick drums and epic percussion, right up through finely delicate sections of melodic bliss. The track explores a wide variety of intense emotion throughout its epic duration, making 'Eterea' a unique tool for DJ's who like to pepper darker sets with divine moments of beauty. On the flip side, we have 'Red Giant,' which continues the EP's theme of light versus dark, shifting effortlessly from minor to major tonalities throughout. Its swirling synth lines give the track a bubblier quality than its predecessor, but it too will find a happy home in the sets of the adventurous techno DJ.
As if the two originals weren't enough, we're honored to welcome Nice native Nicolas Masseyeff to the label, a producer we've had our eyes on for some time. The French veteran cooked up a very special version of 'Red Giant' that deconstructs the original's chirpy synth lead over a dark, rolling, and supremely catchy groove. Nicolas's addition to the EP rounds it out nicely with something that will work well in both techno and tech house sets.

At this point, OC & Verde need no introduction. The UK duo has wowed the world for the last couple of years with their sleek studio productions and innovative DJ sets, earning them support from some of the biggest names in the industry. They'll continue this trajectory with 'Indica,' a brand new single for Yoshitoshi that blends dark, arpeggio-driven melodies with a beautiful and ominous Rajasthani mantra. The track has received a massive response at Sharam's recent shows, proving itself a high point in the label owner's sets with its vast vocal breakdown and ensuing plunge into ruthless techno. So don't let the track's name fool you - 'Indica' will impart no lethargy on its listeners. in fact, it does quite the opposite.

'Who is Themba?' It's a question the South African artist has posed to his listeners since he emerged on the scene earlier this year, most recently as the title of an epic single. As more of his tracks surface the picture becomes clearer, and it's not hard to see why Themba has captured the attention of Black Coffee, Pete Tong, Hot Since 82, and a whole host of other prominent tastemakers. Themba's sound is rooted in his homeland, making use of local singers, songwriters, and percussionists to craft a unique take on house and techno, and now we have the chance to debut two more of his special creations - 'Vuma' and 'Lost.'
'Vuma' is built around a groove that is impossible to stay still for, enhanced by its colorful percussion and propulsive bass. It's a tune that sends crowds into a frenzy, with sporadic chants that impart a visceral element resonating deep within you. 'Lost' dials in a more melodic touch, its arpeggiated kalimba riff building steadily to a beautiful climax of lush pads and haunting vocals. The track makes excellent use of percussion as well, and its in these sounds that we hear Themba crafting a style that is truly his own. We're excited to be debuting these tracks from an artist who is surely on a path to great success.

Last November, we brought back the Four Points concept, which dates all the way back to 2008, and as the name suggests its an EP that consists of 4 distinct talents from 4 corners of the world. Now, we're following that package up with Four Points II, with four fresh new tracks from some top producers from entirely new parts of the world.
Kicking things off is DJ T. with his remix of Sharam & Chance Caspian's 'Morning Glory,' originally from the 2016 album Retroactive. DJ T.'s mix is just what you'd expect from the legendary Berlin DJ. It's bouncy and groovy, a nice builder that falls squarely into house territory. Khainz brings the heat with 'Acrux,' a typically epic techno squelcher from the Luzern-based artist, and he proves once again that his chops in the studio are second-to-none. Miami up-and-comers Wolf Story are up next with 'Time,' which harkens back to the progressive house-meets-vocals sound that is so classic Yoshitoshi. And finally, our main man in Athens CJ Jeff serves up another beautiful vocal track with 'So Far From Home,' which has received the edit treatment from Sharam. This package is diverse and dynamic with no shortage of peak moments. In other words, it's quintessential Yoshi.

Back again with Yoshitoshi after his stellar debut album Moments on Cajual and his Yoshitoshi breakout Myself, Dakar serves up two bangin’ original tracks, one with the help of Brazilian duo Bruce Leroys and singer Sophie. Rounding out the package on remix duty are the British duo MANT and mystery man Chance Caspian, who each provide their own unique takes on the EP’s A-side “I Can Feel.”
We could go on and on about how these tracks have killer grooves, rolling bass lines, and pounding drums, profess their ability to smash up a club and send your dancers into a frenzy, and generally pummel you with the most creative adjectives we can think of to describe these four red-hot tracks, but honestly we’d rather save you the energy and let the music speak for itself. Enjoy Dakar’s I Can Feel EP.
