How to Sew Your Own V-Berth Cushions Like a Pro Sailrite 2024-04-12 | You can save money by making your own v-berth cushions with supplies from Sailrite and by watching this tutorial video. For maximum comfort we layered the foam for these v-berth cushions with a firm foam on the bottom and a soft foam on top. This layering technique helps to prevent bottoming out, which should provide the best possible sleep while on a boat. Sewing Curved Knee Roll Cushions - The Ultimate Guide Sailrite 2024-03-12 | Learn how to make a curved knee roll cushion that has a fabric backside. This cushion is made from two pieces of foam, one higher than the other. Because of that it requires a "fabric pull" to be inserted between the two foam pieces to help pull the seating vinyl down between the two foam heights. Since the backside is not a backer-board, but rather fabric, the fabric pull must utilize a zipper which is used to insert the high foam along the exceptionally curvy front.Watch this tutorial video and learn how to:1. Discover the Secret of Using a Facing as Binding Sailrite 2024-02-01 | Did you know that you can use a 2" facing as a binding? In this video, we will demonstrate how to use a 2-inch facing tape as a binding (folded over an edge for a finished 1-inch wide binding on both sides). A facing tape is a manufactured piece of canvas or vinyl that has its edges folded under to equal a 2-inch finished tape. It is typically aligned flat along a fabric panel's edges, then bound with a separate piece of binding for a finished-looking edge. On the underside of this 2-inch facing are two hems one on each side, one is about 1/2 wide and the other is about 1 inch wide. The one-inch flange is used as a reinforcement for fasteners which may be installed along an edge of a fabric panel. Or if a zipper is used, instead of fasteners, this 1-inch hem gives the zipper a nice-looking flange that looks finished both outside and inside the flange. Master Making The 30 Minute Cushion Sailrite 2023-11-03 | The 30 Minute Box Corner Cushion is a simple & fast method for sewing a cushion cover. It utilizes one panel of fabric to make the entire cushion cover (unless it is a rather large cushion). No boxing, no zipper plaque, no top or bottom plates just one panel of fabric. This type of cushion basically wraps around the foam with a zipper installed at the back. Patterned fabric can run from top front all the way around to the bottom, inherently. This cushion totally flippable, you can use both sides. After making two or three it will take about 30 minutes to make another, it is truly a super fast way to make a cushion cover.NOTE: This cushion technique can only be used for square or rectangular shaped cushions. DIY Staple on Fabric Fence Panels Sailrite 2023-07-17 | In this video, we'll show you how to make staple on vinyl mesh fence panels. These panels are a great way to add a touch of elegance to your outdoor yard or patio. We built these fabric fence panels to hide unsightly pool equipment. Vinyl mesh fence panels are a great way to add privacy to your property without having to spend a lot of money. In this video we will explain how we built the wooden frame and most importantly how to staple the vinyl mesh over the wooden frame. This fabric fence structure is easy to construct, the vinyl mesh fabric wraps around the bottom and is simply stapled to the top and capped for a finished look on both the front and back sides. If you love to DIY this project is rather easy from installation of posts, rails and then finally stapling the fabric in place and caping with wooden trim board.
