"Apple Town Story" is based on an earlier Activision game called "Little Computer People" that was released on a number of 1980s computer and game systems such as the Commodore 64. While the two games share the same overall concept, "Apple Town Story" differs in gameplay and design. For example, the character in "Apple Town Story" is female, while every other version of "Little Computer People" only offers a male character.
