Tin Kicker Opening the doors of smoking cargo trailers and intermodal containers can introduce oxygen to potentially flammable or explosive environments. While still a dangerous operation, this video provides some potential tactics to mitigate the risks to responders.

This edit is the result of continuing discussions with leaders in the firefighting community. Until the original release, firefighters were on their own when responding to calls about smoking trailers. Discussions since the original focused on the witness video of the fatal Georgia explosion and realization that a potential threat that remains. HINGED PANEL DOORS HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR PRESSURE IN A TRAILER TO OVERCOME THE LEVERAGE AT THE HANDLE. Therefore this revision should be used and downloads of previous versions should be deleted.

2023 Outlander hitch install

Tin Kicker 2025-05-04 | This is a rough video about how to install a Curt trailer hitch and wiring into a 2023 (Gen 4) Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. The process for the ICE version is similar except the battery is located under the hood rather than in the right rear corner of the car. Again, it is rough because I was well along the process when realizing that somebody else might benefit from the experience.
