It's time to road test Turkish Airlines business class on a long haul flight from Istanbul to Singapore and see if they live up to their reputation.
Anybody who has been to Turkey will tell you about the wonderful Turkish hospitality and food. But what is their national airline - Turkish Airlines - like?
Turkish Airlines say they fly to more countries than any other airline and have just announced they will finally commence flying to Australia in Q1 2024. This is massive news for Australian travellers as the Turkish Airlines route network, especially in Eastern Europe, is unrivalled.
So does the Turkish Airlines Business Class live up to the hype? Watch this Turkish Airlines Flight Review and find out. This flight review covers 2 flights - first my hop from Ljubljana to Istanbul in Turkish Airlines wonderful European business class. Then I jump onboard a TK Boeing 787 for the long haul flight to Singapore. The perfect opportunity to really test out the Turkish hospitality from their business class lounge at Istanbul Airport and in the air.
Thanks for watching and, as always, happy travels!

Join me as I fly from Miami to the Caribbean Island of Aruba on American Airlines in Business Class. It's on an American Airlines Boeing 737 with a standard 2 by 2 narrow body business class.
This flight review covers the entire American Airlines experience from boarding to landing. I include the AA business class seat, the inflight dining, entertainment and some stunning views out the window as we fly out of Miami and straight over the top of Cuba.
Then when we arrive I've included a bit of footage from our 2 days stay on this beautiful island.
By way of comparison here is my review of Virgin Australia from Melbourne to Bali: youtu.be/PnSZSrlLiq8
The best bit about this trip though is that I got to share with my brother Sacha who has his own travel related YouTube channel. Here's the link: youtube.com/@thepart-timetourists

The question: is it any good? Well, there’s no better way to find out than to take a super long haul flight – from Australia all the way across the Pacific to the USA.
Join me as I spend 13 hours onboard a United 787 and enjoy all the travel comforts that Polaris has to offer.
This United Airlines Flight Review did not get off to the best start. A couple of delays saw us take off over 2 hours late. But that’s life.
Once in the air I got to take full advantage of the United Polaris seat and the uniquely branded Polaris business class product.
From the meals to the crew, the amenities kit to the PJs this United business class flight review covers the entire experience.
Join me, let’s fly to LA.

Flying from Adelaide to Melbourne and then on to Denpasar Bali with Virgin Australia in business class was a great way for me to break my Virgin International virginity.
Sadly the Virgin Australia 777's are long gone but the friendly service and wonderful crew that have always set Virgin Australia apart are still very much here.
This Virgin Australia business class flight review covers the entire journey including the Virgin business class lounge in Adelaide, transferring in Melbourne Airport, boarding, taxi, take off and the full onboard experience as we fly from Melbourne to Bali.

On the way I'll try out the LATAM business class seat both in seat and bed mode, I'll taste the food, explore the entertainment system and experience the inflight service from the delightful LATAM cabin crew.

But what was the rest of the experience like? Join me as I fly from Seoul, South Korea through to Sydney Australia and we'll find out together.
This will be a 9 Hour Retro Feast in Asiana Business Class.
This full business class flight review covers the entire Asiana Business Class experience from check in at Seoul Railway Station right through to the Asiana airport lounge, the onboard service, amenities kits and meals.

I know they have a great livery and are a full service airline from South Korea but are they any good? Join me and we'll find out together.
We're flying on an Asiana 777 in economy class from Sydney Australia to Seoul South Korea with a flight time of just under 10 hours. The perfect chance to test out if Asiana is any good and if it should be on your list of airlines to fly.
We boarded and pushed back on time. Unfortunately though the pilots discovered a technical fault as we taxied to the runway and had to return to the gate. A 90 minute delay with minimal information provided was not the ideal start for Asiana.
However once the problem was fixed and we took off I got to enjoy the Asiana Airline hospitality in full. Their crew were lovely, the food - even in economy - was delicious and the seat was very comfortable.
The Asiana economy class flight review covers the entire experience including the onboard service, inflight entertainment system, take off and landing.

Join me and I'll show you what it was like. I'll show you The House lounge Etihad uses in Melbourne and then we'll board the Etihad 787 and experience the Etihad business class service.
Then I'll answer the question: Etihad Airways Business Class - Is it still as good?

Freight, or air cargo, plays a vital role in the commercial success of an airline. It also helps keep the world supplied. However air cargo is a side of the airline industry that is rarely seen by the general public. I therefore jumped at the opportunity to go behind the scenes at Qatar Air Cargo.
From family pets to jet engines and everything in between there is almost no limit to what can be transported by air. The numbers are simply staggering and in this exclusive look into the Hidden World of Air Cargo we find out just what makes Qatar Air Cargo tick.

This was my first Malaysia Airlines flight since the pandemic and I was keen to see if they were still the same good old reliable Malaysia Airlines as they have always been - offering great value business class with friendly personalised service. And of course I wanted to reconnect with my favourite dish in the sky - Malaysia Airlines iconic satay service.
Malaysia Airlines has been serving satays in business class for as long as I remember and whilst other airlines may try to copy none of them have ever come close to the deliciousness of the Malaysia Airlines Satay!

Join me as I fly from Oman Air's home port of Muscat to Kuala Lumpur on an Oman Air A330 in their epic business class. Whilst relatively unknown compared to the more high profile Gulf carriers Oman Air punches massively above its weight and offers an absolutely first class business class product.
Fantastic cabin crew, dining on demand and the very best business class bed in the sky are just the being of what makes Oman Air such a great choice for business class travellers.

Have you ever noticed that you don’t see any Qatar Airways pilots or cabin crew walking through Hamad International Airport in Doha?
So where do they check in and how do they get to their aircraft?
I’ve been given exclusive behind the scenes access at Qatar Airways to answer this and many more questions. In this episode I’ll take you behind the scenes at Qatar’s dedicated crew terminal. This is where the flight and cabin crew check-in, get their pre-flight briefing and then get their own private transfer straight to the aircraft.
I’ll also show you how the arrival process works. This starts with a dedicated set of stairs at the back of the aircraft for crew to disembark to their own private bus. Upon arrival at Qatar Airways secret crew terminal they go through immigration and security just like the rest of us. The private crew terminal even has its own Duty Free store and luggage belts.
This is the second video in my series How Airlines Work. Make sure you subscribe and hit that notification bell so you’ll be the first to know when I release my next video.

#QatarAirways #behindthescenes #HowAirlinesWork
I've been given exclusive behind the scenes access at Qatar Airways to see exactly what makes them tick. I want to know the secrets behind Qatar Airways' success and what makes them one of the world's leading and fastest growing airlines.
First on my list was finding out what happens between flights. In this instance between a 14 hour long-haul flight from Seattle to Doha and a 13 hour long haul flight to Adelaide.
In never-seen-before footage I was allowed onboard the aircraft after all the passengers had left and was there when the cleaning and catering crews sprung into action. Their first task was to completely de-Seattle the aircraft by removing all the used meal carts, pillows, blankets, mattresses and rubbish. The aircraft is then thoroughly cleaned before it is prepared for its next flight, in this case another long-haul leg to Adelaide.
Re-stocking for Adelaide begins with the arrival of a fleet of trucks - carrying 120 fully stocked carts as well as bags and bags of blankets, pillow cases and amenity kits.
With the new crew boarding an hour before the Adelaide flight was due to depart it was time for me to find out who was doing the dishes.
Again I was given exclusive access to how the entire operation of de-stocking and re-stocking an aircraft goes. The Qatar Aircraft Catering Company's operational centre is the largest single building catering unit in the world at 69,000sq metres. Not only does it produce over 170,000 meals per day it also processes 7000-8000 dirty carts and does 1.5 million dishes. Every single day.
On top of that it processes 40 tons of laundry, including 100,000 blankets per day.
The operation is mind boggling and needs to be seen to believed. Luckily Qatar Airways gave me, and my camera, a full-access pass and I was able to see every step of the process. I now understand why Qatar Airways wins so many awards and have a far greater appreciation of exactly how much work and how many people are involved in making these flights possible.
To all the unseen heroes working behind the scenes and to everybody at Qatar Airways who helped make this video possible a massive thank you from me and every other passenger.
This it Part 1 of my Qatar Airways Behind the Scenes video series. Other episodes will feature their Cargo Operations, the Crew Terminal and the super secretive Integrated Operations Centre.
If you haven't subscribed yet please consider doing so because these videos will be equally amazing.
Thanks for watching and as always happy travels
Cheers

However, this year, for the first time ever, I have no real motivation or desire to even try to requalify for Platinum status.
Sadly I know I’m not the only one feeling this way and it shows the huge underlying problem Qantas is facing as it’s once loyal customers turn their back on what was a great airline.
But what’s the alternative? Can Virgin Australia really compete? Is Qanta’s Pain really Virgin’s Gain? Is it time to swap sides?
Watch this video and let’s find out. On a recent regular trip from Adelaide to Sydney I flew Virgin Australia to see how they compare. In doing so I know I made reattaining Qantas Platinum even harder for myself. But I did save $300 on the return trip so the decision was a no brainer.
This Virgin Australia flight review covers my Boeing 737 flight from Sydney to Adelaide in economy class. It’s a standard business route flown by both business and leisure travellers day in day out. It competes directly with Qantas flying the same aircraft type so the perfect opportunity to see how they compare.
Thanks for taking the time to watch this video. If you liked it please subscribe and check out my channel where my back catalogue includes flights all over the world in economy through to first class suites. There’s a lot more on the way too.

Oman Air is not airline I knew much about nor had I flown them before. But this one flight from Bangkok to Muscat on their flagship 787 in business class has me hooked! I'll definitely be flying them again. Why? Because Oman Air has the best business class seat and bed in the sky. They offer dining on demand and their crew are really really good.
Don't believe me? Watch this Oman Air flight review to find out exactly why I like them so much - and also what I really didn't like about Oman Air.

Qatar Airways have a well-founded reputation as offering the best business class in the sky. They even boast that their Q-Suite is First in Business.
So does Qatar Airways even need a First Class? And is Qatar First Class worth the extra cost considering Qatar Business Class is so good?
With these questions in mind I didn’t hesitate when given the chance to upgrade from Business to First when checking-in on a recent Qatar flight on the A380. Especially as this was a 14 hour flight – the perfect opportunity to really check out Qatar’s First Class and compare it to my recent flight on Air France La Premiere.
The other reason I wanted to try it is because Qatar only offers real first class on one aircraft type – the iconic double decker Airbus A380, the world’s biggest passenger aircraft. Qatar First Class is therefore not only exclusive but it is also elusive with only 10 A380s in their fleet.

I was flying from Cairns to Adelaide with low-cost carrier Jetstar Airways which is part of the Qantas group. This Jetstar flight review covers my total Jetstar Experience including when things took a turn and I was Reported to Security.
It was all going so well - I was really impressed by Cairns Airport; from their friendly security staff through to the many shops and dining options and the huge Qantas Club Lounge with its great views of the apron and airport operations.
Then I headed to the gate and things went downhill quickly. Jetstar appears to randomly select flights where they weigh passenger's hand luggage - this was one of those flights. Luckily my hand luggage was under the weight limit however the Jetstar employee managing this process didn't take too kindly to me filming the process - even though I wasn't filming her or any passenger's faces.
Despite my attempting to explain why I make these review - to promote travel and help inform travelers - things escalated quickly. She reported me to management and I was stopped from boarding until I had been suitably berated by the manager and shown her my footage. For good measure she advised me she would be reporting me to Qantas Security.
I've always maintained that every employee helps shape a company's culture and contributes positively or negatively to its brand experience. My experience on this flight is the perfect example on how a couple of staff having a bad day can damage a brand. Ultimately though we all know the buck stops with senior management and hopefully this video sparks the conversations that are sorely needed at Jetstar's head office.
For an example how these videos can be a positive for an airline and boost staff pride and morale at the same time check out my recent Air France flight review. Here's the link: youtu.be/OE5R5Cj7_Jo

This Egypt Air flight literary travels back in time 3,300 years to the reign of the most powerful Pharaoh of all Ramesses II.
Abu Simbel was his statement piece, the ultimate vanity project as big as his ego. It was built as a symbol of Ramesses’ power, to establish himself as equal to the gods and as a warning to his enemies – don’t mess with me or my fellow Egyptians.
Built in 1295BC the Temple of Abu Simbel is dedicated to Ramesses II and the sun god Amon-Ra. Right next door is the temple dedicated to his favourite wife, Queen Nefertari.
My Flight 3,300 Years Back in Time starts at Aswan Airport where we board an Egypt Air 737-800 for the quick 35 minute flight to Abu Simbel. These 737’s re the work horse of the Egypt Air fleet and despite the dirty windows we get some great views of Lake Nasser on the way.
We then travel the short distance by bus to the Temples which are located on the banks of Lake Nasser. They should however be under water! When the Aswan High Dam was built in the 1960’s the temples of Abu Simbel were doomed to be flooded. However, in a massive international engineering feat these temples were moved some 60 meters up the bank!
The temples of Abu Simbel are a sight to behold and a must see on any visit to Egypt. They can be visited by flight or by road from Aswan.
I was in Egypt escorting a private group arranged through our family business Bunnik Tours. This group had the flight option included as part of their itinerary. All Bunnik Tours groups to Egypt visit Abu Simbel – generally by road allowing you to see the sun rise over the desert on your way out to these magnificent temples.

It turns out Buta Airways is the low cost regional carrier owned by Azerbaijan Airways and is based, like it's big brother, in Baku.
This flight review covers the full Buta Airways experience from boarding through to our arrival in Tbilisi Georgia. But before we board Buta I'll show you around the beautiful Baku International Airport Terminal - it's a stunning little airport and well worth checking out.
Enjoy the Buta way.

And with that went my economy class flight review.
So now I present to you Delta's domestic first class instead.

This is United First - which is the equivalent to business class elsewhere in the world. So how does United First compare to business class with Qantas in Australia or with other full service airlines in Europe? Very well in some areas and very poorly in others.
On this United Airlines Flight Review I give you the honest verdict on United First Class Domestic service ranging from the airport experience through to boarding, pre-departure drink, the seat, the service, inflight catering and inflight entertainment system.
This flight was filmed in early July 2022 and was a connecting flight included in my Air New Zealand long haul business class ticket.

Join me on part 2 of my Air New Zealand business class journey from Australia to San Francisco.
This second leg is the long haul 12+ hour flight from Auckland to San Francisco. It's a night flight so gives me the chance to really test out the Air New Zealand bed - or should I say Air New Zealand Dorm in the Sky.
The design of the Air NZ business class seat and cabin is unique to say the least. Each business class seat faces inwards, away from the window and towards your fellow passengers. It makes for a very social flight and within minutes I'd made some new friends.
12 hours on Air New Zealand's Dorm in the Sky is the ultimate Air NZ business class flight review.
Join me and let's fly to the US together.

Hot Air Ballooning and Turkey go together like gin and tonic. And Cappadocia serves up the very best as you join up to 150 hot air balloons floating over this magic landscape.
I filmed this in May 2022 as I joined the first Bunnik Tour group back to Turkey post-covid. It was an amazing experience and we jumped at the opportunity to take to the sky in a hot air balloon.

But this one does feature a lion, a man shouting in the terminal, displays of air crashes before we flew, a ghost, a unique seat warmer and the most beautiful landing view I've ever captured.
All that in one quick 7 minute flight review on an airline that is hard to define.
In today's world of code share flights and wet leases it can be difficult to know what airline you are actually flying. This was one of those cases where even now I'm not sure what I actually flew on my flight between Casablanca Morocco and Lisbon Portugal.
I had booked TAP - Portugal's national airline. However my itinerary said it was operated by Air Bulgaria - something that was further confirmed by the safety card on board. Yet the outside of the aircraft was painted in TAP Express livery. Confused? So am I!
Join me for the flight out of Morocco on a Bulgarian TAP! You'll be in for some surprises. Not least of which was a display of aircraft crashes and rescues at Casablanca Airport!!
There are also some great views out the window and a magnificent ghost curtain protecting the business class passengers from the riff raff seated in economy.
All and all a memorable flight out of Morocco on a Bulgarian TAP!
Enjoy and happy travels

Or is it? I found and enjoyed a quirk in the Qatar system. Business class flights from Doha to Cairo are designated First Class by Qatar Airways. This gives business class passengers to Cairo access to Al Safwa.
So naturally I brought my camera along and can now show you exactly what lies behind those exclusive doors!
And then to make my day even better I discovered upon boarding that there had been an aircraft change on the Cairo flight and I was now flying the famous Qatar Q-Suite - the world's best business class!!
Join me and we'll do it together!

Singapore Airlines A380 First Class Suites sets the new benchmark in first class travel. The sense of space is unprecedented in the sky. This is a real game-changer!
And what’s better than flying first class? Flying first class with someone you love! The best seats for couples are suite 1 and 2 – when that wall comes down the space created is a massive 2 by 5 metres! It was our private double suite in the sky!
The service, the food, the space, the DOUBLE BED! This flight review covers it all.
Join me on a flight of pure indulgence – Sydney to London return would cost almost $14,000AUD per person – I managed do an economy class/business/first class return combo from Australia to Vietnam with one sector in the First Class Suites for $4,000 – and yes I did pay for the tickets.

My first ever Ryanair flight was between Venice and Fes. Which demonstrates perfectly the value and advantage of low cost carriers such as Ryanair and their ability to link secondary cities.
This Ryanair flight review - entitled Losing my Ryanair Virginity - covers the entire process from booking to checkin to boarding, the inflight experience and landing in Fes.
As this was my first Ryanair experience I ticked all the boxes and took all the optional extras. This gave me a flexible ticket, in person check-in, extra luggage and priority boarding and seating. I even pre-ordered my inflight meal!
So join me as I experience the very best that Ryanair has to offer on this Ryanair Flight Review.

Now that borders are open catching up with great mate and fellow YouTuber Jeb Brooks was at the very top of my to do list. As luck would have it we were both flying into Amman Jordan on the same day. Jeb coming in on the inaugural United Airlines flight from Washington DC and me from Cairo Egypt.
We couldn't let this opportunity pass to jointly film a flight review on Royal Jordanian flying their regional business class. And of course I had to show Jeb Brooks one of my favourite spots in the entire world - the amazing lost city of Petra.
Royal Jordanian Business Class on the A320 is excellent and Jeb Brooks and I review it in full including the onboard dining and the Royal Jordanian business class seat.
In Petra we explored every nook and cranny of this amazing site including the famous Treasury. I even make Jeb Brooks walk all the way up to the Monastery for the most amazing views. We end our visit to Petra as all good visits to Petra should end - enjoying a beer at the Cave Bar talking rubbish with an old mate.
Enjoy this video - we had an absolute ball making it.

Thanks for watching and happy travels

Yes the Emirates Bar in the Sky on the iconic A380 is back!
Join me as I reunite with the Emirates business class bar in the sky on a fun flight from Dubai to Cairo, Egypt.
This was my first A380 and my first Emirates flight in over 2 years so to say I was excited was an understatement – more like a kid in a candy store as I savoured every moment of the Emirates A380 business class experience. This experience starts at Dubai Airport and the incredible business class lounge in Concourse A which allowed you to board your A380 direct from the lounge – no queues, no waiting.
This Emirates Business Class Flight Review includes enough aircraft action to satisfy the biggest avgeek. Business travellers will appreciate the tour of the seat and the facilities offered on board including the meal and drink service by the lovely Emirates Crew.
Of course I also check out Emirates famous ICE entertainment system.
But the real fun starts after lunch when I head to the back of the upper deck of the super jumbo Airbus A380. Here Emirates has created the coolest bar in the sky exclusively available to business and first class passengers.

But what's it really like? What's changed? Should you be worried?
In this video I show you what it's really like to fly internationally from Australia now. What you need to do to prepare. What you need to do at the airport. What's changed on board and what transiting through one of the world's biggest airport hubs is like.
This is my first international flight in almost 2 years and to say I'm excited is an understatement. My job, my life and my passion is travel and it has been an incredible struggle to be grounded. But now it's time to fly again. To help rebuild Australia and the world's travel and tourism industries and explore the incredible beauty this planet has to offer.
Join me as I fly with Singapore Airlines from Brisbane, Australia to Colombo, Sri Lanka via Singapore.
I'll be covering my pre-departure preparations and give you tips to make the airport processes as easy as possible.
Onboard we'll savor the famous Singapore Airlines hospitality and look at what's changed in the air.
And finally we'll land in Sri Lanka and tackle the entry formalities before setting off to explore this incredible country.
The purpose of this trip is that I am escorting the very first Bunnik Tours' international departure since March 2020. This is a massive deal and the first step on the road to recovery for our team. For our clients it also marks the return of being able to explore the world in the comfort and joy of a small group tour. Our William Creek Wrightsair scenic flight takes us over Lake Eyre, the largest salt lake in Australia. The views of the Lake Eyre Kati Thanda National Park are stunning. Lake Eyre made world headlines when it was the site of Donald Campbell’s land speed record attempt in 1964. Flying across Lake Eyre’s salt flats Campbell broke the world land speed record with a speed of 403miles per hour (648km per hour).
From Lake Eyre we fly to the Painted Hills – the scenic jewel within Anna Creek Station. Anna Creek Station is private property but bush pilot and owner of WrightsAir Trevor Wright has special permission to fly over and land within this incredible landscape. So we did and it was an amazing experience.
If you ever have the chance visit William Creek in South Australia. And when you do make sure you take to the skies on a Wrightsair Scenic Flight from William Creek Airport. My strong recommendation is the flight combining Lake Eyre and the Painted Hills with the landing and walk through this incredible pristine outback environment.

This will go down as one of the most incredible experiences in my life. As an avid avgeek and keen photographer I’ve always dreamt of flying over and photographing an aircraft graveyard. I still hope to do so one day.
This was different though. What we have up in Alice Springs at the moment is not an aircraft graveyard. Rather it is a covid induced parking lot. And that’s very different.
These aircraft are not here because they have reached the end of their economic and productive life. On the contrary, most of these aircraft are in the prime of their life. They’re here because the industry and the world has no use for them. Covid has decimated the global tourism and travel industry and these aircraft, just like the empty airports, closed travel agencies and the empty desks at our office are the visual sign of that.
Each aircraft represents hundreds, if not thousands, of lost jobs, lost dreams and careers that have ended prematurely. They also represent the thousands of families who have been kept apart by this damn virus.
But then as our flight continued I began to see hope and with it my energy and optimism grew.
What we have here are the building blocks of recovery. As vaccination rates increase our world is finally starting to open up it is these aircraft that will help reunite families and restore jobs, hope and dignity to millions around the world.
Each aircraft represents thousands of new jobs and a step towards bringing the world closer together.
An aircraft is pretty useless as city bus. Passionate travel industry people are rarely suited to careers elsewhere. Our challenge now is to bring back both and to rebuild in a better and more sustainable way. Personally, it’s a challenge I look forward to being part of.
If you’d like to see these incredible aircraft in the desert at Australia’s largest aircraft storage facility in Alice Springs I recommend you get in quick. Contact Alice Springs Helicopters https://www.alicespringshelicopters.com.au/ This flight cost me AUD$500 for 20 minutes.
