Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix [PS3] | Any% Beginner Speedrun in 2:43:47 (World Record) Saiyanz 2021-03-30 | Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix is what many like to call the 'Directors Cut/Royal Edition' for Kingdom Hearts 1. The version I am playing here however is the original HD re-release of the 2003 Final Mix Game which released in March of 2014 for the Playstation 3. This version incldues quality of life changes such as cutscene skips, analog camera controls & other small details. I use the Japanese version for the run due to the text speed being 1 minute faster than the English Version, however roughly equals out to 20-30s faster due to an exclusive clip which exists in the English Port.This run is the peak in my 7 year speedrun career, this was the game that started my whole speedrun journey and to finish the journey at the top means the world to me, I owe so much to this game and I am honoured to represent as one of the games best.The run was very unique for my playstyle, I am known for flying ahead of most runners in the first 2/3 of the game and then falling behind in the final act. Call of Duty: World at War | Any% Speedrun in 1:13:54 (Former World Record) Saiyanz 2020-08-10 | Call of Duty: World at War is a first person shooter with a campaign of 15 missions in which I attempt to complete in one sequence as fast as possible. In terms of tricks there is only 2 Out of Bound tricks (Vendetta & Ring of Steel) however where the difficulty lies is how well you can prevent dying whilst trying to efficiently run through the levels. When first running this game I believed this would be one of the easiest games I would ever grind however it proved to be one of my most difficult in my 7 years of doing this hobby. The Grinch | Any% Speedrun in 38:56 (World Record) Saiyanz 2019-12-30 | I honestly did not expect to get this sort of run when I did. It is really difficult to put into words how I feel about it but I can certainly say that the sub 40 felt like more of a triumph moment.The run up to Who Dump was incredible with minimal errorsDuring Who Dump I did make a mistake in the second area where I missed x2 Nitro Egg shots which required me to move max onto a Nitro egg which took me 2 attempts due to my stupidity. The rest of Who Dump however went quite well with me getting 1/2 cutscene skips at the pipes, the cs skip I failed costs around 25s if done correctly. EDSP was close to perfect with only having to readjust the block once (which I find common).South Shore went really well with good movement and a perfect OCD skip. The Who Lake split however was one of my worse, failing the Van Jump twice and not getting a perfect Fence jump costed me up to 10+ seconds.Sleigh Parts went normal with a slight optimization trick missed in Whoville costing around 5ish seconds and comparing to a perfect Marine Mobile segment I lost around 2s.Santa was SUPER sketchy due to my nevers but all in all this run is still something to be proud of, being able to achieve the first sub 40 and sub 39 means an awful lot to me, I love this game will pursue grinding it further. Chicken Run | Any% Speedrun in 30:14 (World Record) Saiyanz 2019-10-11 | Going into the final act I was +0.9 on Sum of Best. Chicken Run | Any% Speedrun in 32:35 (Former World Record) Saiyanz 2019-09-17 | Although this run only lost 5 seconds to my Sum of Best with a more accurate gold in Act 3 you would find I lost roughly around 20 seconds to my Sum of Best in total which is pretty crazy in a 30 minute speedgame. I am proud of the short work I made with this game finding optimization in cycles/patterns as well as optimizing the movement and incorporating new strats I found in a few areas.
