Some information regarding this translation: I wanted this to be as close a direct translation to source as possible (except for one thing; see below); in no way would this ever be localized like this, due to how odd it sounds at times. However, this is also due to my only basic understanding of the Japanese language; a lot of the lines were translated by me putting them into Microsoft, Google, and DeepL translators and picking what translation was best. Unfortunately, the exposition-heavy moments were often the most difficult to translate and are probably the least accurate...
The one thing that isn't translated directly is Aizawa telling Aigis she needs to end her sentences with "de arimasu". It isn't really possible to faithfully translate this without it sounding absolutely abysmal.
Finally; I wanted to say that the closed captions for this video should be avaliable to be edited by the public so this translation may be improved. I realize it may also be vandalized, so I have a backup on my computer. If I need to reupload it, don't hesitate to say something in the comments or contact me directly.

Sound codes 0, 23, and 240-255 don't play anything. Despite saying "SONG NO.", the sound test doesn't actually contain any music. There's a good number of unused voices here.

I don't think it gets much better than this... If I can get to 6 mill, I'll upload another video, but don't expect that to happen anytime soon.

Difficulty is set to normal, as evidenced by the 35 second timer.
While I've done better in certain scenarios (e.g. you can deplete the helicopter's health bar as it's still flying under the bridge), this is easily the most consistent run I've ever done, and I'd be hard-pressed to beat it.
Video & audio goes into an RGB SCART splitter connected to a Retrotink 5X connected to an EVGA XR1 Pro capture card.
Video from the capture card (which is lossless) is processed with an AviSynth script that uses QTGMC lossless deinterlacing and does some minor RGB level adjustment (gain values were determined using a service menu test pattern)
I found the exact sampling needed for the cleanest video output (which I determined by viewing the pseudo transparency dither patterns; resulting video is 640x480 (the game's native res) integer upscaled to 1920x1440 for YouTube) but unfortunately, the hardware does some substantial horizontal blur so it can never be "pixel perfect".
YouTube video compression really murdered the quality too, unfortunately (particularly during scenes with a lot of motion).Persona 2 Eternal Punishment - Shadows, Nyarlathotep, and Philemon Fights at LV99 with Reflect MagicDrew Sebastino2023-03-14 | The result of maxing the playtime counter to 99.

SnazzyAI's video is already pretty good, so I'm just kinda doing this for completeness sake.

Just thought I'd do this video too for the sake of completeness. The upscaling didn't turn out nearly as well unfortunately.Persona 2 Anime Trailer AI UpscaledDrew Sebastino2023-02-23 | Upscaled to 1440x1080 at the original 15fps using Topaz Video AI's Proteus model.Persona 2 Eternal Punishment - All PS1 FMV Cutscenes (English & Japanese) AI UpscaledDrew Sebastino2023-02-19 | Upscaled to 1440x1080 at the original 15fps using Topaz Video AI's Proteus model.
The Parabellum video does not include "Parabellum II" in the video file's audio track, but it always plays alongside it in-game. Additionally, the song's intro cannot normally be heard during the cutscene, so I skipped it.Persona 2 Innocent Sin - All PS1 FMV Cutscenes (English & Japanese) AI UpscaledDrew Sebastino2023-02-19 | TURN ON CAPTIONS FOR TRANSLATED INTRO TEXT

The music comes from a patched ROM of Innocent Sin with a debug menu and sound test, running under PCSXR. I recorded my PC's audio with Audacity @ 48KHz and exported the audio as a 24bit, 48KHz WAV file.
Finally, I imported the WAV file into Sony Vegas along with the background image (a cropped, AI upscaled image of the title screen) and rendered the video with 48KHz, 512Kb/s AAC audio, because YouTube was unable to accept any video I made with uncompressed audio. My Life as a Teenage Robot End Credits Without Frederator Jingle (High Quality)Drew Sebastino2021-02-09 | Version of the end credits theme without the Frederator jingle, obtained directly from Peter Lurye, who created various songs for My Life as a Teenage Robot and other cartoons, notably The Magic School Bus.
I do not own this theme, nor do I own anything related to My Life as a Teenage Robot.
