Looks like I have a new OTP now.So I FINALLY got around to watching Nimona and, like most others, I fucking LOVED IT. And while almost all of the movie has themes and characters I want to edit with eventually, these two NEEDED to be first. I’ve expressed many times on this channel before that lovers (or friends) to enemies is one of my all time favorite troupes. I like TRAGEDIES! I like THE DOWNFALL! I just think the conflict and angst sticks really well when the characters already know and care for each other on some level. So OF COURSE the moment I saw that the movie was doing this I fell in love. And this movie did it VERY well. I was always rooting for this couple but I also would understand why Ambrosius had a hard time figuring out what to do. Also, it’s just so cool to see an animated movie with this troupe with a canon gay couple. I like that it’s explicit, I like that it doesn’t dance around it. They were boyfriends and then shit hit the fan and now they don’t know what the future holds. Honestly this movie in general just does a lot of cool things I don’t see animated movies do very often, especially ones directly marketed to families. And I love it so so much!In terms of the video, man I went through like 3 different playlists and narrowed it down to 5 different songs. That’s not an exaggeration either. I had songs where I like the vibe and instrumentals but the lyrics didn’t really stick. I had songs where maybe only half of the lyrics worked. And then I had songs where the lyrics were perfect but I wasn’t vibing with the instrumentals. Ultimately I went with this song because it is a song I’ve been itching to use for a while, but never thought I’d get the chance because I never had any couples in mind (usually I’d imagine this song going with my OCs). Also the lyrics worked really well (“bring it all back to the bar downtown” was what really convinced me). One of the reasons I’m really glad I went for this song is because I was able to use voiceovers and sound effects! I really wanted to put in a lot of their angsty lines in here and I don’t think I would’ve been able to do that had I gone for any of my other choices. Because of how many scenes the two actually have together, I was worried I wasn’t going to have enough variety in footage considering the video is almost 2 minutes. I definitely had to fudge it in parts, but overall I’m pretty proud of how the whole thing turned out! Think there still might be a chance for me?If you guys don’t remember, years back I created a sort of concept audition for the roleplay “The Demigod Trials”, which I was a co-judge for at the time. The co-judges and I posed the question of what characters we would come up with if we were contestants, and I ended up turning that into a video since the idea intrigued me enough to do something with it. Well this new roleplay Ruined King comes around, but with it’s release I had already committed to no longer entering RPs as a contestant. However, I had come up with a character idea and I got so inspired that I decided to revisit that fake audition thing I did all those years ago and do it one more time!So why wasn’t this an official audition? A lot of reasons, but mainly is just that I don’t have the time to devote myself as a contestant anymore. It’s a lot of work and between college and my job, plus any other things I want to partake in, it’s just too hard. But this story, and also this concept that I had for it, really stuck with me and it was a shame if I let it all go to waste. I really experimented with this video too! I wanted to try something different in a lot of areas. Coloring and cinematography, yes, but also in showing magic! Because Morgana’s magic is the embodiment of shadows and literal darkness, I wanted to do what I could to showcase that and I’m REALLY proud of the result! I wish I was able to do more with this character. I often find that older characters are never explored in RPs, especially older women. Which I understand, we don’t have the footage to really support that writing choice. But with the few choices we do have, I think it’s a missed opportunity! So I really liked getting to tackle that. She ended up being one of the most fascinating characters I’ve written, and maybe one day I’ll do something more with her. Who knows! Also this video made me obsess with using Anna, she has SUCH a good variety expressions I’m upset it took me this long to use her!ALSO SPOT THE CAMEOS!!! I did my absolute best to put in so many characters. Obviously I focused on the contestants that got in, but I wanted to throw in a couple of the characters who didn’t get in as well! The story goes that, shortly after Atticus was born, Alaric was killed by a rouge ferrus. But history is written by the winners, and the loser was most certainly Morgana.- Morgana was seeing Grimar before Alaric. Her and Alaric were forced into an arranged marriage -For the record I casted Charming as Alaric BEFORE you lot decided to make him the recurring NPC faceclaim of the RP AND I DIDNT WANNA CHANGE IT BECAUSE IM STUBBORN -Morgana was expecting the attendants, and also the leaders of the rebellion, to be closer to her age. This video was basically just an excuse to work with Blanca and Kung Fu Panda backgrounds, and I just chose Moana because she seemed like my best option at the time. But in reality, I really wanted to edit with Blanca and Raya. So once Raya and the Last Dragon finally came out, I just didn’t feel like finishing this video. But I didn’t want to throw away manips I was genuinely proud of, so here’s what remains of the original video!I do have a blocked out Raya and Blanca video in my drafts that I definitely intend on finishing. It’s just a matter of when I’ll actually get around to doing that (I genuinely don’t work on these videos because of having to look for backgrounds, I’m not gonna lie to y’all. ➤bring the lion out {jurassic park} WCRfan126 2023-08-14 | Man I can’t believe I’ve been doing this for 11 years and only now have made a dinosaur video. I’m ashamed of myself.Summer time marks the rewatch of some of my favorite blockbusters and this past week I rewatched most of the Jurassic Park franchise, inspiring me to make an edit of it! These type of movies I never really see get any love from editors, which is a shame because I think monster movies have the potential to create really great sfx type edits. These are action movies at the end of the day so might as well spotlight most of the action. However, this particular song choice allowed me to use the many famous suspense scenes of these movies too, making it not just about the action so that was fun as well. When it comes to SFX edits, crashes and weaponry tend to be what I use the most so getting to use mostly animal sounds was a nice change of pace too! This was also one of the rare occasions where I chose to not really follow the lyrics that closely and just focus on atmosphere. Which in some ways did kinda drive me crazy because I’m a nutcase for following the lyrics BUT for this video I’m happy with the result and glad I stuck to my instincts.Originally, I wasn’t going to edit every single film. Particularly I had planned on cutting Fallen Kingdom from the roster since I hadn’t seen it in a while and didn’t really wanna rewatch it (because its the one i think has the worst writing cndsuvbu). But the movie DOES has some of the best cinematography among the entire franchise, so I decided to include bits of it for the sake of pretty editing aesthetics and fun parallel shots. I think the video is better for it too, honestly, as it truly feels like a celebration of the whole franchise. I do wish raptors had appeared more though, I will say. I found the big dino scenes to work better in the overall edit, but darnit if the raptor fan in me didn’t want to abuse the fuck out of all those raptor scenes. Ah oh well. It’s been very satisfying the past few years to edit things I wouldn’t have edited years ago, even if it was something I loved. Trying new things just terrified for me years, I never knew how people would react or if I myself was capable of doing something outside my comfort zone. I’m glad I’ve largely grown past those fears, as doing new stuff like this is genuinely so much fun. It’s also made me learn that while stylistic and more creative edits like my recent Spider-Verse video are more challenging, stuff that’s more simpler with less effects is what I feel most proud of and most comfortable editing. ➤were always worlds apart {spider-verse} WCRfan126 2023-07-30 | MAJOR SPOILERS FOR ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE, DO NOT WATCH THIS IF YOU HAVENT SEEN THE MOVIE!!! (also if you haven’t seen the movie yet, what are you doing????)I would like to start this description by thanking Marvel editors for being actual wizards and creating this extremely high def version of the movie despite it technically not being released to digital yet. Y’all are my heroes. You know a movie’s good when it gets me back on a specific hyperfixation again. My actual fear watching Across the Spider-Verse was that I was gonna be obsessed with Spider-Man again and would drop all of my current projects. Sure enough I’m obsessed with Spider-Man again and dropped all my current projects. I just love LOVE this movie so much. In many ways, it gave me the same feelings I had watching No Way Home for the first time. Just this intense celebration of a character that’s been around for so many years with so many iterations while also giving a specific iteration a fantastic character arc. I loved the first one, truly I did. But I think this one tops it for me. ITSV is effectively simple, and ATSV expands on those simplicities and makes them more layered and complex, which just made the story and characters so much more engaging for me. And trust me, ITSV was already a hard movie to top. But I also think that ATSV was giving me what was missing for me in ITSV, the thing to get me incredibly attached to the characters, stories, and even villains. Never in a million years would I have said that fucking Spot was a better villain that THE Kingpin, but I kinda feel like I have to say that??? Anyways I could go on forever. I just truly feel in love with this movie and I can’t wait for the next one! So this video is actually not just a cool fun edit, but a redemption, an update, a sequel if you will, to a video I made of the first Spider-Verse back in 2018. I had the specific goal to try and make the video emulate what the movie itself was doing, which was doing a lot of glitch effects and making the typography look like comic book text. And while I don’t actively dislike the video, I KNEW I could do the concept so much better now, especially since I was only working with trailers back then. And ho boy not only did I do all of those aforementioned things but I ALSO did the thing I don’t like doing for canon videos and did a bunch of masks for either transitions or for cool text effects. Ultimately while I do like the result and I'm glad I got the chance to experiment, I probably won't do something this complicated for a full length video again. It takes up a lot of time and it's not really my style. ➤i feel a change {sinbad & nita || the traitor within us} WCRfan126 2023-06-09 | Is Meg still obsessed with TTWU? *shakes 8ball* “Signs point to yes”So I’ve been rewatching all the Non/Disney Roleplays recently and rewatching Traitor Within Us I IMMEDIATELY got the Sinita itch. Especially after uploading last week’s video. But creating a new crossover from scratch, when I still barely had any Sinbad masks to speak of, made it a bit discouraging. So then I had the idea of doing Faben’s Simplicity Challenge! For those who don’t remember this challenge, the point of it is to not touch After Effects at all. You take all your pre-made masks, plop them into whatever editing program you use, and wing it. I’ve done this challenge twice already and I love it so much! Allows me to do crossover editing without some of the pains of it. But again, I felt like I didn’t have what I needed to make it. Sure enough, a day later, this song comes on my playlist and it’s a song I’ve deeply associated with these two for a while now. And then everything fell into place…I decided that, instead of making this a story crossover, to go the music video route. I think that’s what made this video easier too, I was just lyric matching to a story already told! It was fun playing around with the typography too! I also thought I was gonna hate how this looked, since I wasn’t using AE’s fancy coloring, but I ended up being really satisfied. It actually looks CLEANER than most manips I make in AE. Honestly, editing this just felt very freeing! It was all about the aesthetic and I liked not having to go back and forth between programs. That said, I don’t recommend doing this when you’re low on masks because I basically just keyed Sinbad for the entirety of this video and it very much made my life a lot harder. Also, ok, so that kissing manip. Man I SLAVED over that thing. Hardest manip I’ve ever done. And the animator in me is constantly driven crazy at how not perfect it looks, but you know what? For what I did and what I had to work with, I am quite proud of it. And it’s the only OTP of mine that didn’t have a proper kissing manip and that needed to change!! My skills had improved, and it’s what they deserve! And yeah, I know it will probably get me disqualified from this being a true simplicity video, but IN MY DEFENSE I was working on it before I started this video and then just decided to put it in the video. I still did all that compositing and lighting in FCP! I HAVE PROOF DAMNIT!!!Lastly, I’d like to shout out my fellow cocreator of this ship @WolfSpirit79! ➤caught me in a tide {non/disney crossover | UNFINISHED} WCRfan126 2023-05-31 | What started as a Sinita video became a political drama, because I can’t ever do anything simple lol.So I never upload unfinished projects, I hate it actually. But I think, this year, I have to cut my losses. I have to admit that there’s been projects sitting in my files for years and they’re just not going to be finished no matter how much I convince myself otherwise. So this summer, I’m going to go over all unfinished projects and upload them to this channel because I think it’s going to lift a huge weight off me. I can’t keep holding onto something that will never see completion. And I’d rather focus my time on projects that I definitely know I want to finish. But I also don't want them to go to waste, because I do think there was a lot of potential with these videos. And we start with this one, which has been around since the beginning of 2020. Yeah you can see why this had to go first XD. Truly a project where everything about the blocking looks so good, but it’s WAY too ambitious. This is a RP round to an extent and I think I’m just way too burnt out for that shit XD. A lot of background edits need to be done, there needs to be a lot of group shots, and there’s a section in this video that I still had no idea what to do with. Every time I look at this video, I am both insanely proud and also extremely stressed out. So hence why I don’t think I’m ever going to finish it.BUT I really do love the overall feel of this video. All of the elements really come together, I feel. I do wish this had been a more of Sinbad x Nita story, but it turned into a Sinbad story at the end of the day. The story of a prince who has to choose if his loyalties lie with his family or the love of his life. An interesting concept and execution for sure! But you win some, you lose some, ya know? Anyways, enjoy!STORY NOTES (in case the blocking was confusing):-Proteus and Sinbad are brothers of royalty, Proteus being first in line for the throne.-The meeting between all the lords, nobles, kings, queens, and ambassadors was never supposed to happen. It was just supposed to be a gathering to discuss some trade negotiations. But then Shang don goth murdered.-Sinbad and Nita have been in a long distance relationship for about a year.-Nita is against war due how many innocent people lose their life or get wrongly imprisoned. Being from a less economically developed country, she doesn’t want that for her people.-Proteus killed Shang as a way to give an excuse for war to happen, as war brings them a lot of profits and money that he feels they need in order to stay stable.-It’s made intentionally unclear if Dymas knew about Proteus’s plan or not, or was apart of it. Just expect random canon videos to be on my agenda for a while. I’m a busy girl and I edit what inspires me, even if the idea is the last thing I expected lol. ANYWHO so tiny backstory. I first watched this show back in 2019 a few months before season 4 was slated to come out. But I got busy and one thing led to another and whaddya know it’s four years later (as in like exactly four years, idk what made me decide to watch this series in march BOTH times) and I still hadn’t watched the final 3 seasons that came out on Netflix. I randomly felt like picking it back up again and….well let’s just say I might’ve stayed up pulled two all-nighters binging this show. Bad. Very bad. This is what happens when anxiety strikes. I actually did a little bit of a fun flip here! Back in 2019 I had originally wanted to make an edit dedicated to just the title character, but then changed my mind to a Deckerstar edit. As I was watching I had originally wanted to do a Deckerstar edit, but then remembered this song and went “nope never mind angsty Lucifer edit it is”. OOOOOO I’ve been wanting to use this song for AGES now! Ever since I first heard it in Stacy’s Vox Machina video, I’ve been trying to find a good video idea for it. But I couldn't figure it out. I think I had an idea for it at some point but it wasn’t really clicking for me? But the whole arc Lucifer goes through in season 4, it was just too perfect! I’m kinda thankful that I waited to watch the show when I did then because I don’t think I would’ve found a better use for this song! And it’s always fun getting to experiment with voice overs and sound effects, glad I can find more reasons to do that.I kinda miss shows like this. That are super fun and ridiculous and cheesy, but also heartfelt and full of poignant character writing. It feels like a shame that the DC CW shows, which I felt were so good at this for a while, stopped being that once they went on for too long. It was great to see this show make an amazing comeback the moment it got onto Netflix, as I was genuinely surprised in just how amazing seasons 4 and 5 were (and season 6 to an extent). To those who like stuff like the earlier seasons of Supernatural or the DC CW shows, I highly recommend this. It takes the best part of those shows and elevates itself to this in depth look on growth and second chances. So yeah, that’s it. Angsty edit for a cool show. Also, if this doesn’t prove that I will always find someway to add in the Ahsoka and Vader fight into a video, I don’t know what does. I heard this audio on Insta and was like “hey this could be fun to edit” and I also felt a lot of lyrics matched Star Wars so here I am! Call this another one of my mini edits, a rather simple one as well might I add. This part of the song’s beats are mostly hit by vocal transitions and choir notes, so doing crazy editing transitions didn’t really fit the vibe of the video. Honestly doing something nice and simple and short was really fun! I love getting to experiment with editing this way! And it was fun using twixtor again, haven’t touched that effect in a while.My goal for this video was to touch many facets of Star Wars, not just the ones I usually edit. The moment I decided to include live action in the second half, I felt I wanted to stick to only live action. Even if unironically using Rey WILL probably get this video blacklisted in certain Star Wars spaces but ya know what fuck you I still love her AND the sequel trilogy!!! Also YES I really love the “be with me” scene, I think it’s really cool and a great addition to Star Wars lore of the cosmic force literally speaking to Rey and enhancing her power. It really matched that “tidal wave” lyric, how one girl was able to harness the power of all the Jedi that came before her. I know Kylo would’ve fit the last “when does a man become a monster” part better, but I really liked the idea of having a little bit of everything in here, you know? Plus it felt nice to add in ROTJ since it IS my second favorite Star Wars movie. I still think it fits since it is Luke’s own calling to the dark side, however brief it may be. Which hey first time editing Empire Strikes Back! And twixtor really hated that choppy slow mo effect for that cave scene. Eh they can’t all be winners. Anyways! Enjoy! ➤life will make you grow {star wars rebels} WCRfan126 2023-02-20 | Ayyyyeee guess who’s back in her Star Wars hole? And does she catch up on SW media she’s intended to see but hasn’t yet? No you idiot she rewatches Rebels and Clone Wars for the millionth goddamn time because she’s a predictable bitch.Well the hype for Mandalorian got to me and it got me hyper fixating on this franchise again. Taking advantage of that, my friend Faben and I finished up on Rebels together (as we started it a while back but took a long break from it) and, since it admittedly has been a minute since I had sat down and rewatched a good portion of the later half of the show, I honestly forgot just how good this show really was at times. Like I always knew it but coming back to it as an adult it really is something else. This show also means a lot to me, it’s what got me into this franchise to begin with! Little baby me who had Disney XD on all the time due to Gravity Falls stumbled upon this show having absolutely ZERO knowledge of Star Wars, but just became so invested with the characters and story. And all these years later, it’s still peak Star Wars for me. It embraces the franchise so much while also expanding upon it in so many interesting ways. I just love it so much.I realized I haven't made a proper edit for this show since 2017, back when I first caught up on it, and I wanted to change that! Most of the time when I edit Rebels, its just the Ahsoka and Vader stuff, which is excellent! But I do think I have neglected the other incredible parts of this show, and mainly what makes it so great to begin with: the Ghost crew. And yes, while there is a little bit of Ahsoka in here, I really made sure to keep this on the main cast. It took me a while to nail on a song, but I remembered this one that I have been wanting to use for years but couldn’t think of a solid idea for it. And when I relistened to it, it just seemed like a perfect match! I love the feel of it. This song is about hope and change, which is also the core themes of the show. It starts a little somber, but ends on a high note, and I wanted to really capture that. How hope and love and family gets these characters through to the end and you leave off with some wonderful character arcs. In the end, this might be one of my favorite videos yet. Which I’m not sure what it says about me when now three of my favorite videos are Star Wars related heufhrene. This is also my first time deciding to use aurebesh as not just a fun add on with my watermark, but actively apart of the typography! With other videos, I like to use the fonts associated with those official properties as apart of my typography if that’s an option for me (see my Bumblebee video). And considering Star Wars has a number of fonts and text associated with it, I’m surprised I haven’t thought of doing it before! But I’m glad I finally decided to do it now.The Ahsoka series comes out this year and while I am excited to see more of my favorite girl, I’m mostly excited to see Sabine and Ezra again. I miss them so fucking much and I’ve been DYING to know what has happened to Ezra for so long now. I realize this is what old school SW fans must’ve felt after ESB. Except for years it seemed like nothing would come of Ezra’s disappearance. I’m so happy that storyline is getting a conclusion. I want to see my little boy (here he comes)!!! ➤the fires gonna burn {percy & oktai || happy valentines day!} WCRfan126 2023-02-14 | The two holidays I refuse to miss on this channel are Halloween and Valentine’s!Well February came fast and I realized I didn’t really have anything planned. I am working on a longer video that I intended to have done by today, but I got sidetracked with other projects and due to the fact that it’s a bit more taxing I didn’t want to rush it. It was then did I have an idea to a canon-style edit for manips I have already made! I’ve done these type of videos before, they’re super fun! It’s the ultimate combination of both my editing styles! And what better ship to edit with than my newest OTP!I am still am so surprised in how hard I fell for these two. I’ve said many times before that Percy and Oktai were never intended to be a genuine couple, and sure enough I just ended up writing them in a way that made me fall for them and understand them. It’s nice to give them more love and appreciation. Enjoy!
➤youre the only friend i got {tangled fan casting || mep part} WCRfan126 2023-02-03 | If you’re coming into the description to wonder where I got live action footage of Rapunzel’s tower, the answer is Once Upon a Time. I had to dig through season 7 for this footage and died a little bit while doing it. So I decided to finally dip my toe into the world of LA crossovers, fan cast videos, whatever you wanna call them! I’ve always wanted to try to edit one of these and my friend Sophie (DreamingWithDragons) gave me the PERFECT excuse as a kicking off point. Essentially her idea for the MEP was to make our own Disney live action remake, fancasting to our desires and we were not allowed to use actors who had been previously casted in the role. Only props! Now I’m of the belief that animated movies are constructed in a way specific to the medium and should not break out of that BUT for the sake of a fun exercise I decided to indulge with MY favorite animated movie of all time: Tangled.This was an interesting challenge because I wanted this to stay true to the movie’s message and heart while also changing it to better fit the medium. So instead of a musical romantic comedy, I went with a fantasy romantic drama. Very much in the same vibes of Ever After or Ophelia, the movies I in fact used for this. Before getting to the story I’ll talk about my casting decisions a bit. Eugene/Flynn was a no-brainer. Eoin Macken, specifically his role as Gwaine in Merlin, is just too perfect. He has the heart, the bastard criminal energy, the overly flirtyness. Picking anyone else would’ve been a CRIME. Gothel came pretty easy too because Anjelica Houston’s role as the Baroness in Ever After is very similar to Gothel in a lot of ways. However when I made that decision I completely forgot that she actually VOICED GOTHEL in the Barbie Rapunzel movie. So Hollywood already said this was perfect casting because she played the damn role! So if you were wondering where that audio of her saying “Rapunzel” came from, it’s from that lol. I had to take advantage of that dialogue (which already sounded similar to the opening of Mother Knows Best Reprise!). And then lastly was Rapunzel, who I definitely struggled with. There’s so many actresses in period settings with long blonde hair, it was more that I had too many options to choose from and I’m VERY unfamiliar with that genre of film. I stumbled upon this Ophelia film starring Daisy Ridley and her very long hair and kinda positive fun energy and also the fact that I really didn’t wanna go through 50 million films made me go for her. I honestly was doubting my own decision but then I started playing with the concept and editing with it and GOD it worked better than I could’ve imagined. She has that perfect isolated, naive, but light-hearted spirit that works perfectly for Rapunzel, or at least an iteration of the character. So here’s how I did the story:Rapunzel is someone born with magic powers and is kidnapped as a baby by Mother Gothel, but does not know that. The first big difference here is that I didn’t wanna edit glowing hair SO Rapunzel is kinda the embodiment of sunlight now and can summon it at every whim. I didn’t figure out Gothel’s reasonings for kidnapping her since the eternal youth thing wouldn’t work here but it would still be related to Rapunzel’s magic in some way. While Gothel was away on a trip, an outlaw banished from the kingdom of Corona, going by the name of Flynn, takes shelter in the tower having nowhere to go, thinking it was completely empty. He’s about to leave when he discovers Rapunzel there, but she actually begs him to stay, hating being alone anytime Gothel goes away. When Flynn discovers Rapunzel’s desires to see the world, he encourages her to leave. She says she will, but only if he comes with her. The two of them go on a roadtrip, to where Rapunzel discovers that Flynn is loved by his fellow outlaws, and his joyous and party energy ends up breaking her out of her shell a bit. Similarly, Rapunzel’s genuine kindness and sincerity is appreciated by Flynn, as he feels everyone he’s ever known fakes it and has never truly cared about him as a person, just his status as a famous outlaw. The two of them grow a connection through feeling like, for the first time in their lives, they’re being seen and heard and loved by someone else, and reveal secrets to each other know one else knows. There was a lot here I didn’t add that I wanted to. I was gonna show Eugene being banished and more of the ruffians. I was also gonna show more romantic scenes and I wanted to show Eugene’s initial death scene (Gwaine has a lot of options in that regard). But I decided, for the sake of time, keep it to developmental parts of the characters and some of the more important scenes. Anyways I’ll stop my rambling here. Enjoy!

➤started in the strangest way {giselle & robert} WCRfan126 2022-11-23 | WARNING: Minor spoilers for Disenchanted!So last year it was Frank and Lily, this year is Giselle and Robert. What live action Disney OTP will I expose next year? Only time will tellYes it’s a couple and a movie I never talk about but please know that Enchanted is one of my absolute most favorite Disney movies with one of my all time OTPs and the brain rot got real intense with the sequel. This film is a huge part of my childhood and it was one I rewatched very often, and yet it is also a film that I actually love more as an adult. Being older, I can understand the relationship of Robert and Giselle more and how the movie is this giant love letter to Disney princess movies. Of course, this meant I had high expectations for the sequel, and I’m THRILLED to say that it definitely didn’t disappoint! While there was no new shipping content, the story they did with Giselle and Morgan I thought was EXCELLENT and doing what the first movie did of applying fairytale troupes to the real world to a mother and daughter duo over a romance was just so good and I loved it. Also, the movie is just a blast to watch, I had so much fucking fun. I did end up using a little bit of movie 2 towards the end because there were some moments I loved and wanted to put in there, even if it was just a little bit. Plus there’s more variety of scenes which I always like having in edits! I originally wanted to do a slow song because I tend to not like working with more upbeat songs with live action? I just have a hard time meshing them together. But the lyrics of “About Love” just worked so fucking well, problem being I didn’t like the instrumentals of the song for editing very much. So I searched high and low for an acoustic cover, a stripped cover, anything that I felt would be better. What I ended up finding was this mashup, and wow I was not expecting it to work this well! It ended up being EXACTLY what I needed! I honestly need to use more mashups, they’re so much fun and I like transitioning into new lyrics! Anyways, if y’all haven’t seen Disenchanted yet, PLEASE go see it! Its honestly my favorite Disney movie in actual YEARS, as they haven’t made a film that I’ve latched onto this hard in a very long time. Hypnotized [Cherilyn - Evil!ROTM Deaf Edit] WCRfan126 2022-11-13 | I was gonna upload this last week...but then I forgot XD. Check out the full MEP here!: youtube.com/watch?v=r6ttGuN1zaEI don't like uploading Halloween stuff after the holiday, but this was a special case since this was a secret MEP with the ROTM folks! We've had the idea of doing a deaf edit with this song for over a year now and it's so cool to see it finally come to be!!! The idea was to pick between two different AUs: Evil AU or Sequel/Villain AU. Evil AU is exactly what it sounds like, our characters but they're evil actually lol. I honestly have a really hard time changing a character's morals like that and still having it fit their personality, like no matter what I did Oktai just kept feeling like a completely different character and I didn't like it. So I never had any solid ideas for him regarding this AU. The other AU is where decades later, the Return spell is casted again and this time it brings back the villains of our character's past lives. When Sam said we could do this AU for the MEP as well, I JUMPED at the opportunity because I absolutely LOVE writing Cherilyn. She is so wicked and horrible, but I love getting the chance to make that part of her personality shine. And making her a full on magic villain in this was just too fun to pass up!Naturally being a Return, she needs powers! And I gave her poison touch! Most people don't know this but Cherilyn's preferred method of getting rid of a problem was the use of untraceable poisons. So giving her that ability felt fitting to me! This part also shows her manipulation, how she puts on a show of someone who is kind and innocent but is really playing a long game of chess, playing a role that will give her what she wants. As for the editing itself, Hercules is just a random bystander in this and he had the best footage to convey the reaction I wanted someone to have in response to her powers. And yes with only a week to spare and a whole ass full length Halloween video to make, I did do headswaps because Cherilyn must ALWAYS be in the most elegant gowns. I really wanted to change the colors to red and black but time is my enemy. Anyways, enjoy!
➤the one who cant be saved {non/disney crossover || happy halloween!} WCRfan126 2022-10-31 | HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!Another year, another annual crossover vid! Unlike the last two years where the ideas for my videos have just come to me out of the blue, this year’s has actually been an idea stewing in my head for a few years now. Ever since I heard this song, the first thing to come to my mind was this haunting black and white video that focused more on atmosphere than it did on story. Hading decided to stick to the YPIV video last year, I was determined to make this my project this year. Which means I got this done like a few weeks ago right? Haha, NOPE. College has been kicking my ass this year which means the only time I got the chance to edit was really on weekends and late weekday nights. The last two weeks I was going back and forth between this and my Halloween MEP parts. So a lot of work being done overall. But BECAUSE I went with a more simplistic atmospheric video, it didn’t really take me that long! So the cards were in my favor!This is definitely the most horror out of all of my Halloween videos. While leaning into horror is my goal with all of my annual vids, the last two years was more about evoking the feeling of Halloween. ESPECIALLY last year’s, which I love! It’s actually something that made me conflicted because the classic fall/Halloween feeling was missing from this. But I knew I’d be missing out on an opportunity to do something really different and experimental, so I went for it and I am THRILLED I did. I love how this video came out!The video that actually inspired for this was Markiplier’s animated short “Damien”, and since then I’ve wanted to really mess with these creepy endless winter woods, while also messing with the visuals. To make something black and white but have a color pop out every now and then to feed into that feeling of something being off. I like slow burn horror, the build up and the feeling of dread that washes over you anticipating the worst, as that’s the kind of horror that truly unsettles me and freaks me out. It was really fun diving into that concept and the subtle visuals for it!I’m actually not going to explain the story because I think that might take away from the feelings and your own theories of what might be going on, which I think is more interesting! Witching Hour [Non/Disney Crossover - MEP Part] WCRfan126 2022-10-24 | Me once again doing a “what’s real and what’s not and the ever failing mental state of the leading character trying to figure out what the truth is” plot for a Halloween video? Say it ain’t so. This is for Faben’s annual Halloween MEP! This year they did a much more rock type song to the theme of the Salem Witch Trials. Now you all know I was on that shit, like come on I made a whole ass roleplay out of this event. However, the main thing was that those accused had to be false accusations. Our burned woman couldn’t be a witch. This caused some conflict for me, because to be honest all of the ideas that were coming to me of why women were accused and how they were accused has been done a million times. Rejects a man’s advances, child is bored and chaotic, is even just slightly different from social norms. I went through maybe 10 different versions, each one with a different cast of characters. Eventually, ended up with these guys.As most of you know by now I always want to do something new, and that includes working with new characters and doing new ideas. I’ve been wanting to work with Juliana for years, and I’m actually shocked it took me so long to think of her considering her perfect expressions for this role. I also thought it’d be really interesting if the accuser was the accused’s child, meaning I had to think of an interesting explanation as to why a child would sell out their own mom lol. And to top it all off, I wanted to have a younger male be the accuser plus a plot where you question the main character’s point of view. Unreliable narrators in horror are super interesting, especially in supernatural stories, because it makes you really question everything. And with all of that in mind, we come to this! A son who hallucinates his mother being a witch, even until her last breath. It was a lot of fun to work on and I’m really proud of the story I came up with! ➤halloween mep parts {corpse bride || doctor sleep} WCRfan126 2022-10-17 | Continuing our month of spoops with more canon editing, some MEP parts to be specific! Normally I’d put these in my end of the year MEP dump buutttt this year I decided to have them up on their own in a mini joint video!The first is for CR’s Halloween MEP, the theme was monsters and I chose Emily from Corpse Bride! I genuinely almost picked Monster High for this, especially since I have the Halloween movie downloaded from my 10 year anniversary vid, BUT the part of the song I chose with this slowly part I thought fit the elegantness of Emily. Also I just love this movie a whole lot and I like getting excuses to edit with stuff I don’t normally edit with! Also yes this is Calling All the Monsters, a song I used last year, but this song is actually the new version that came out last year! I do prefer the original, I feel the new one is missing a little punch, but I still like the vibes of it!The second is for Faben’s canon Halloween MEP, to which I decided to be a predictable bitch and have an excuse to edit something of Mike Flanagan, because the man is a horror GENIUS I tell you! Almost went for Bly Manor but because I DO have some videos planned for it and I didn’t wanna shoot my shot, I went for Doctor Sleep instead! Which is an absolutely INCREDIBLE movie that I think deserves way more love. Always love watching it every Halloween. It’s a weird feeling.ANYWAYS, GUESS WHAT TIME OF YEAR IT IS??? HALLOWEEN BITCHES!!! Starting off a week late unfortunately, I definitely wanted to get this stuff out sooner BUT I CANNOT BE STOPPED!!! So here I am. Much like last year we’re starting off simple with canon editing, and it’s a video I’ve had on my mind for YEARS.Two years ago I heard this song and thought it would go great with one of my all-time favorite horror movies: Cabin in the Woods. But when I had the idea the month had already started to wrap up, so I told myself I’d do it the following year. Following year came and yeah that didn’t happen. Too many MEP parts and one big ass YPIV vid plus college prevented me from doing such things, so I delayed it again for this year. My schedule getting even more busy I feared I’d have to delay it again but I was WAAAYYY too stubborn to let that happen. Sat my ass down this weekend as I had little homework on my plate so I went “fuck it, I’m doing this now”.Cabin in the Woods is an outlier compared to all of my other favorite horror films and shows. I like supernatural psychological horror, not bloody slashers as I don’t find them very scary or thought provoking. I don’t find this movie particularly scary either, but the scares are not the reason to watch it. This movie is a brilliant and hilarious love letter to the horror genre, and I do mean the whole genre. There are HUNDREDS of references to monsters and killers from various movies, video games, and novels. My dad and I watch it every Halloween and always have a blast, so this is to you dad! My forever horror buddy who has to suffer through my high pitched screams and squeezing his hand until he’s in pain. ➤returns of the moon {minerva | percy - deaf edit} WCRfan126 2022-08-16 | Finally got around to uploading this!This is for Beth’s Returns of the Moon DEAF edit MEP, where people who were not players of the RP could have the ability to create their own Return characters and expand on their stories. However this also meant that us who did get in had the absolute perfect excuse to use our AU characters!!!The ROTM server has a LOT of AUs. We have a doc, it is a dozen pages. That’s how many AUs we have. Its a little insane. But its also a lot of fun, and naturally we like to edit our AUs but don’t often get the best excuse to. This MEP had a lot of us running at the opportunity, myself included. So, what’s going in these two AUs? Allow me to explain!PART ONE - Another Life AU (Minerva): Another Life AU is where all of us created a brand new Return character that would make up the main cast, and our current canon Return characters would be their guides (i.e. Instead of being Brianne, Alexandria, and the rest, it’s Geralt, Oktai, Diana and so on and so forth). The character I created for this AU is a young woman named Minerva, portrayed by Marina. Minerva is the daughter of rebellions, and decided to craft her own rebellion once she reached adulthood. However she got reckless and left many casualties in her wake, causing someone close to her (Shang) to murder her in order to prevent anymore damage. Her powers are life absorption, where she can drain the essence of anyone she touches. This character was a stone cold self righteous bitch, and it would’ve been really interesting to tackle a character like that in a long running RP! In any case the part was definitely fun too, especially getting to reedit the audition again! PS: The characters seen when the moon glows are my fellow contestants’s AU characters! Marco (Tulio) belongs to Nana Wakagimi. Ginger (Madeline) belongs to QuickWhitStudios. And Maple (Eilowny) belongs to SpaceMeta!PART TWO - NPC AU (Percy)This one is pretty self explanatory: replace our characters with an NPC from their past to be the Returns. Of course I chose Percy, because who else? But I didn’t want to do the audition twice, so since not much changes in this AU outside the characters I decided to show the scene from R4 when Alex puts them all under illusions. I’ve had this particular idea for a while now, actually, regarding what Percy would’ve gone through. Because his powers are lie detection, I liked the idea of him being surrounded by the people in his life but all he can see of them is their lies. The power and illusion taunt him, forever seeing the lies of others as he lied to everyone in his life. This AU is my personal favorite, because getting to explore not just Percy as a Return but his relationship with other characters is super interesting to me! This is the one AU I never thought I’d have a good excuse to edit for and I’m thrilled that’s not the case anymore.And that’s all for now! Enjoy!
➤megamix {ten year anniversary} WCRfan126 2022-07-28 | When I was 9 years old, I became enamored with the doll franchise Monster High. Because I watched the webisodes on YouTube, I eventually would find people who’d make their own Monster High videos in the form of stop motions, comedy doll videos, and animated music videos (more commonly known as AMVs). The latter two of which I loved so much, that it made me want to make my own videos. My dad had this shitty old camera that he never used, so I’d record my computer screen to get clips of the Monster High webisodes and movies and slam them together in this editing reel called FlipShare Studio. When I turned 10, my aunt gave me her old laptop. It was pretty rough, I had to keep the charger plugged in if I wanted to keep it on, which means I was practically glued to my desk if I ever wanted to edit. I loved video editing so much, that I practically begged my parents to allow me to make a YouTube account. Because I wanted to share my videos with people! They eventually said yes. And so on July 28th 2012, I created this account and called it WCRfan126, named after a band that means a lot to my family. That was 10 years ago on this day.Ten years. It doesn’t feel real saying it out loud. To think this has been my hobby for that long. I remember in middle school and high school, just waiting to get home so I could continue working on a new video. I would sometimes RENDER a video in the early mornings before I had to go to school. For a while, it was just kind of me and my programs. No one I knew personally really watched my videos or took much interest in my editing. And then 2017 happened. I saw this video titled “The Traitor Within Us”, saying it was a roleplaying contest where you could enter in and interact with other players should you be accepted. I honestly had no idea what a RP was at the time, I just thought the video was cool because it reminded me of BBC’s Merlin, so I decided to join. And that decision would forever change my life. My mornings are now spent going through the hundreds of Discord notifications left by other editors in the community, people I looked up to and would’ve killed for any one of them to notice my work. Now, they are people I call my friends. Some of them my best friends. I’ve laughed with them, cried with them, fought with them, celebrated with them. I love them with every fiber of my being.And then there’s all of you. My (almost) 6,000 subscribers. The people that tune in for every new upload, who leave me wonderful comments, who like and share and love my videos. I honestly don’t have the words to showcase how thankful I am to all of you. I make these videos for me, but seeing you all love and appreciate them as much as you do brings a smile to my face. The fact that I am able to make people happy or sad with my edits. It means more to me than I can ever truly know how to express! So here we are! With this! A recap of a decade if you will. Much like the mashup songs I used, this video is all my greatest hits rolled into one. The first part is multifandom canon editing, where I use the shows and movies that inspired me in one way or another, so much so that they’ve appeared on this channel multiple times. The second part is my crossover videos, where each manip, whether they’re reused from the past year or remade specifically for this video, is from a crossover that’s somewhere on this channel. Anyways since I still haven’t finished Bad Batch and I wasn’t that into Book of Boba Fett, there was no reason to pull me into a hole. But then THIS show came out and man oh man. Did this show remind me why I love Obi-Wan so much and even more why I came to adore his brotherly relationship with Anakin. But more than that, this show is the first and ONLY time I’ve actually felt for Obi-Wan’s perspective. Them having his journey of denial and horrible acceptance in the similar vein of what Ahsoka went through in Rebels was just…so perfect and poignant to me. As Lucas always said, it rhymes like poetry. And what a tragic rhyme it is, for both Ahsoka and Obi to look Anakin in the eye and only see Vader. Seriously I was going FERAL when the mask broke open I knew exactly what those bastards were doing.I was already planning on doing a video with this show with a different song. But when listening to this song after watching episode 3, I immediately changed my mind. The lyrics matched up so well! It was nice getting to do an angsty Star Wars vid again, one that’s NOT just solely focused on Anakin and Ahsoka because I seriously need to branch out XD. I feel this was a good opening for that. I know I’ve said some not great things about the prequels in the past, but it was honestly a lot of fun using them! They have some good shots for editing. Not to mention paralleling all the fight scenes, while challenging, was super satisfying to edit! I’ve never done something like that before where it all tries to flow with each other, so I’m pretty proud of the result considering this is my first attempt. I do feel it’s kinda scandalous of me to NOT make a parallel edit with the scene from Rebels, normally I’d jump on that like no tomorrow. Buuuttt…I already started working on this video before the final episode came out, what can I say XD. Maybe one day I’ll make that video though! Another Love [Helga & Jane - MEP Part] WCRfan126 2022-06-22 | “I love you in every universe”I swear I blocked this long before I saw Doctor Strange 2 AND before I rewatched Gravity Falls Im not that big of a dork I just really like this troupe, ok???This MEP part is 6 months late by GOD. Absolutely bless Rosie for having this much patience in me, thank you for putting up with my bullshit. We return once again to sad sci-fi troupes because MMMM I love them oh so very much. The theme for this MEP was split between a love that cannot be or finding love again, and I chose a weird combo of the two with the classic: seeing an alternate version of your lover and knowing its not REALLY your lover but you’re in pain because you don’t know when you’re gonna see your lover again and they’re just RIGHT HECKIN THERE but if you went up to them they won’t know who you are and its a constant cycle of tragedy and I fucking LOVE IT. So yeah, reading the theme I knew pretty instantly I wanted to do this storyline. Which also meant going back to Gravity Falls backgrounds because listen LISTEN. I don’t have a lot of options y’all and this show just has a big looking portal machine I can use anytime so WHY NOT. I’ll admit though I went back and forth on this MEP part a lot, struggling with who to use for the longest time. I kinda knew from the start I wanted to use Helga because I was using her in a separate project similar to this but ultimately got too complicated for me to keep up with, but who I’d put her with was the issue. All I knew is that I wanted a nerdy-type character to contrast her. I went through a few options before landing on Jane, and I'm really proud of that choice! These two look really good together! Overall, despite it's struggles, I'm fairly proud of this! Enjoy!

One of those things was this little show called Gravity Falls, that consumed my channel for three years and was the thing on my mind for much longer than that. 10 years ago on this day, I sat in front of my TV and watched the first episode thinking nothing of it. And now, it’s the show that changed my life. Which is not an exaggeration. It’s the show that made me realize what I wanted to do with my life, that gave me all of my hopes and aspirations and goals. Because of this show, I’m currently a college student studying animation, hoping to one day make my Gravity Falls. To show my stories to the world and make my own series.I knew I’d be doing myself a disservice if I didn’t make a video for this big day (especially since I’ve been repeatedly kicking myself for not making a 10YA vid for Merlin AND Tangled but its fine I’m fine), so I got off my feet and worked on this for the past few days! ➤walking side by side {eleven || st4 spoilers} WCRfan126 2022-06-04 | *looks at calendar* Huh would you look at that. I’m 6 years late to making a full length Stranger Things video. The disappointment in myself is immeasurable.I’m gonna start out by saying I had no idea what to call this video. El & Vecna? El & One? El & Upside Down??? It’s all kinda one melting pot at this point which means my artsy titles can’t really describe the actual premise of this video, unless I wanted the title to be “eleven/jane and her conflict with the upside down/vecna/one/henry creel/possessed billy/whatever evil fucking entity is after the small superpowered child this season”. THERE’S TOO MANY NAMES TO ACCOUNT FOR!!! So even though this video markets itself as being about Eleven, I don’t think that’s an accurate description. It’s just the closest I could get XD.ANYWAYS. Stranger Things 4! It’s not even over yet and I’m reeling from it my dudes. This season is so so SO good so far, and it’s apparently the only one that’s managed to get me off my butt to make a damn video for it. Oh sure, I’ve edited with this show before. But I’ve never made it’s own video for it, and goddamnit I needed to. And so this season gave me a perfect opportunity.I’ve been itching to edit this song for a few years now, specifically with an intertwined toxic hero and villain dynamic. Where good and evil are bound by each other no matter how hard one or both tries to pull away from it. But I could never seem to figure out the right footage for it. Nothing ever came to mind. And then this season decided to finally put a face to the Upside Down and gave me EXACTLY what I needed. Eleven’s struggle and journey with the Upside Down has always ALWAYS been my favorite part of the show, so you can imagine how happy and excited I was when we went all in with it. And as such, inspiration and motivation struck me all at once!This video is probably one of the simpler videos I’ve put out. Minimal effects and transitions, as I felt the song’s vibe would be compromised had I had done more complicated editing. So I kept it pretty plain! And as you can see, I’m continuing to experiment with voiceovers and sound effects! Honestly I’m having a lot of fun with these type of videos. Deep End [Athena & Hassan - MEP Part] WCRfan126 2022-05-29 | What’s this? TWO mermay MEP parts in a row??? Say it ain’t so. Well this was very much unplanned. SeleneTheWerewolf has had this pirate & mermaid themed MEP up for a few years now, and seeing as I had some time on my hands I thought I’d help out in getting it done! And boy did I decide to challenge myself. I’ve been wanting to edit an older couple on here for quite sometime, as I feel the few older characters we do have access to are not used much in the romance setting. I feel there’s a lot of interesting and unique combos you can do for it. And here’s one to start!I love love LOVE using Hassan so much, he has such a good variety of footage. I wanted to use him in Arcade, originally, but I wasn’t happy with how the part was coming out so I decided to scrape it and use him here instead. Which therefore meant using Athena has the mermaid of choice! And uh lemme tell ya she is no Ariel. She gave me a LOT of trouble in this part. But it was worth it because I do think these two look cute together and I really like the final product a lot! Enjoy!STORY:A lonely pirate has a secret: he’s in love with a mermaid, and visits her on an abandoned shoreline. Unfortunately, the secret gets out and he’s ambushed by rival pirates who blackmail him to give away her location. The lovers now find themselves to be prisoners, the pirate being the only one to remain alive. But he won’t let that to happen, and acts accordingly.
➤her & the sea {non/disney crossover || mermay mep parts} WCRfan126 2022-05-22 | Can you believe it’s been FIVE YEARS since I last made a mermay video??? I can’t! Yet here we are lol. It felt like everytime this time of year came around, I never had enough time to make a mermay video. Which really saddened me as I really REALLY love mermay and the whole mermaid aesthetic. So when my friend Faben opened up this MEP, I JUMPED at the opportunity. I’ve had all of these ideas stirring in me and I wanted to finally do something with them! The part with Ariel and Cale was originally part of a separate video that included Kida in it, but I cut her out to shorten the part. I kinda like that I did because these were the only two scenes of that video I was even interested in editing. The part with Nani and Mulan is actually inspired by a show I adored as a kid called H2O, where 3 human teenage girls end up turning into mermaids everytime they touch water. Originally I was trying to find characters that looked like the actual characters from the show, but instead I decided to do these two because they fit the scenes best. Also they made an animated H2O, which is where these backgrounds are from! Enjoy!

MAJOR SPOILERS IF YOU HAVENT SEEN THE SHOW!!!Meg editing with a recently released show just after it came out AND also using a newly released song to go along with it? Again??? Say it ain’t so!While my Marvel editing has been lacking for while (minus the two What If videos I made some months back), most of that is because of my very very hectic life as of late and not having a ton of inspiration to do it. But WOW did THAT change at the start of this year. Currently I have two other Marvel videos in the works, but they needed to be put on the back burner once school started getting busy. And while I know I should finish them first, I’ve had this idea in my head ever since I watched the first episode of this show! I wanted to wait until the show was over so I had optimal footage, but good gosh this one has DEFINITELY made the top spot for best MCU show yet. I absolutely loved the story and characters, and just thought everything was so well done. To go from a fun light hearted action adventure story to a deep exploration of trauma, I never knew where the show was gonna go and it always surprised me in the BEST ways. Also, Steven Grant is one of my new favorite MCU characters I love him SO fucking much. I was genuinely conflicted with my song choice for a minute since I knew I wouldn’t have been able to edit with the dramatic moments as much (aka only really during the bridge; granted I wouldn’t have edited with episode 5 much anyways but you get the idea). But I decided the lyrics really worked for the show plus I liked the fact that I didn’t have to lean one way or the other! I got the opportunity to edit with dramatic, action, AND comical moments! As you can see I really tried experimenting a lot more with voiceovers and sound effects! And I think this the best I’ve ever done! I’m also INSANELY impressed with myself that I managed to edit with the whole song! Alone Together [Tiana & Phoebus - MEP Part] WCRfan126 2022-04-19 | Day 789 of “I still think about Merlin a lot as a show and how deeply it has inspired me in terms of master class storytelling”Hello! I'm sorry for my recent absence! I'm currently am in the last few weeks of my semester and WOO. Its been kicking. My. ASS. On top of that some recent technical difficulties came up whiiiccchhh is not. Great. It's not great uhhh but hopefully it'll be resolved soon. So in the mean time here's this MEP part I finished a few weeks ago for my lovely friend Anne!A couple years ago, I used these two as the animated face claims for Arthur and Gwen from BBC’s Merlin for a MEP Part and now anytime I edit with them or think of them that’s just what I associate them with. SO in occurrence with this MEP which is another Bridgerton MEP about longing and such (I swear I haven’t watched this show these songs are just pretty), I went with my favorite type of longing: separated by social class! Which meant taking inspo from Merlin which then eventually lead to this kinda AU swap idea I had where Arthur’s the servant and Gwen’s the princess. Obviously I didn’t think too hard about it for this specific video I just thought it was cute with these characters and I wanted to use Tiana in her blue dress more. Plus Tiana in other pretty dresses because she looks fantastic in them this woman seriously rocks every look. Enjoy!PLOT:A quiet princess and a royal guard end up becoming acquainted with each other despite their different social standing, and start to form feelings for each other. However they struggle with those feelings as they know their love is not something that can permanent.

I have been DYING to use this song for months now, and was originally gonna use it for a multifandom video that was fun but was losing my focus. And then I watched this show and realized that if I didn’t make it with Percy, I’d be doing myself a great disservice. God I fucking love this show. I was really invested in it the whole time and I was rooting for the characters so hard by the end of the season. It’s made me actually start to watch the campaigns! I actually love all of the characters and don’t have one favorite, but I really love Percy and his character arc a lot! How he was being consumed by hate and bitterness and letting it rule his future instead of forging a new one for himself and had to fight those instincts and feelings. And I really love the idea of those ideas physically manifesting into something far darker, taking the metaphorical and making it literal! That’s some of my favorite kind of storytelling and this show did it so well! I’m super excited for season 2! Stripped [Oliver & Cayden - MEP Part] WCRfan126 2022-03-02 | MORE OTPS! MORE!!! MUAHAHAHA!!!!I actually have never edited with this couple before! These two are an RP couple based on the forum RP Broken Fragments. Oliver (Sinbad) was played by my good friend Ray (CereittanyPrincess15), and I played Cayden (Cale)! They weren’t a canon couple in the RP itself, but god knows the two of us made a lot of AUs where they’re gay and proud so they’re canon in my heart XD. A lot of these scenes are from BF, just with a more romantic lens on each scene.This was for Ray’s bday MEP, where the theme was attraction! I could’ve gone spicier but decided to keep it mellow for now because it’s cute, and I wanted to create something Ray understands as much as I do. Love you, dude! You’ve been a great friend to me these past few years and I’m so glad I was able to take apart in this MEP and FINALLY do some good Caypheus content. STORY:Trapped in a small motel in a strange place called Silent Hill, Oliver sits next to a sleeping Cayden thinking about their past and their journey in growing feelings for another and how they could lose their lives at any moment. But Cayden wakes up, and all of that fear goes away as Cayden smiles, just happy to see the one he loves safe beside him.
I Found [Connor & North || DEAF Edit MEP Part] WCRfan126 2022-02-23 | This is the year of the OTPs and so I shall edit with ALL OF THEM. We started with Sinita last week and now we’re returning to the niche DBH AU ship that me and Stacy hold so close to our hearts: Connor and North! I’ve been wanting to edit with them again for a while and Anne’s new VDay deaf edit MEP just clicked with me for some reason or another! I also just love this song and feels like it fits these two super well. This vid still pertains a lot of elements to our AU, but I kinda went with a bad ending approach XD. Or at least an implied bad ending, where Connor isn’t able to fight off Amanda internally and so he takes the only measure he feel he can take next without hurting anyone, and without hurting North. This part is like a backwards in time type of thing, starting from their lowest ending point and ending on their highest point. Weird and artistic but whatever I like it lot. Also gave me the opportunity to use new voiceovers I wasn’t able to use last time! There’s a couple of new manips in here, but for the most part its reused stuff? I’m so busy as of late that doing something nice and simple like this worked really well for me. ➤returns of the moon {oktai - round five || moondust} WCRfan126 2022-02-05 | Round Five = Love, Forgiveness, AND SO MUCH ANGST!!!So this is the end, huh? It’s so weird to think about. It’s even weirder to think about being a finalist again. Honestly there was a time after TTWU where I never thought I’d have the passion or motivation to get to the point where I’d stick through a whole RP again. That that was my one shot. It’s a bit comforting to know that I still had some fight left in me. I’ve been in a lot of RPs these past few years. Forums and videos alike. I’ve been a judge, a host, and a contestant on multiple occasions. However, it was my experience as a contestant/player that’s been sorely lacking for me. Sometimes it was because I lost interest, and other times it was due to poor mental health. I say this with the upmost sincerity: I have not had this much fun with an RP since TTWU. Everything to the story, the characters, the plotting, the contestants, and the judges....it was just all so wonderful. And sure it could be stressful sometimes, and maybe there were days where I had my doubts. But I always picked myself back up again because of how utterly invested in it I was. So first a thank you to the contestants. You guys are the most chaotic group I have ever been apart of and I loved every single moment of it XD. From day one we were pouring memes and cracks into the server and now that chat channel is almost impossible to scroll through. But more than that you’re all extremely supportive and amazing storytellers. I know for a fact that I would’ve struggled so much more if I didn’t have you guys as my support. You guys seriously rock! To the judges, you were sure to make us feel included in the ride while still managing to keep us in the dark - which is a tough balance to achieve. You were honest and fair, but you were also chaotic in your own ways. Not to mention extremely kind and considerate, even in times where maybe we didn’t want you to be XD. I don’t think I’ve been in a contest that purposefully withheld a new round just so we can get a break. And yet we were so invested in the story that we didn’t care about breaks (truly we are masochists). Thank you for creating an AMAZING story and allowing me to be apart of it! Also, shout out to the one time I apparently made Beth cry with one of my rounds. That was definitely a highlight for me XD. To all of you, my viewers and friends outside the contest. You were all so supportive towards me the whole way through. Each and every comment made me smile from ear to ear, as it was wonderful seeing so many people care about Oktai and his story. These two toddlers were a highlight of the RP for me and I’m so grateful we got to plot together for as many rounds as we did! -Sam: From a joke about them having a young girl in their life that looks exactly the same to a unique friendship of lost untrustworthy souls being validated in their feelings. I was afraid we were gonna go the whole contest without plotting with each other and I’m glad that wasn’t the case! Even though they’re not super close, I still genuinely loved every scene we plotted with the two of them. -To everyone else; Isabel, Domi, Mama Anne, Africa, and Beth - while we only plotted really once or twice, I still am so glad we did! ➤christmas mep parts {adam & giselle | oktai & percy} WCRfan126 2021-12-25 | MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!I legit can’t believe I got inspired to be in MULTIPLE Christmas MEPs this year. WHAT??? This never happens to me! Usually I’m staring at my computer on the 23rd going “I haven’t made anything this holiday season what am i gonna do???” And yet here I am! Usually I like to upload my crossover parts individually, but they were really short this year so I decided to just put it in one pile. This ultimately was a lot easier than making a full ass Christmas video like I’ve done previous years, so I’m really happy! Hopefully I can make this a pattern for future years! Sing Along With Me:For Faben’s (FableSecrets) Christmas MEP! When I read the theme I just HAD to do my boys. I’ve actually had a lot of headcanons regarding these three during Christmas (especially since the 1800s is around the time holiday commercialism started to become a thing). Essentially, Oktai doesn’t like it. Not because he’s a Scrooge, but because he doesn’t have the money to celebrate it. He feels like he can never Marva any presents or just the means to do it. On the other hand, Percy LOVES Christmas. So even though he knows Oktai can’t celebrate the way he has, he still tries to get him in the holiday spirit. This is canon to the ROTM universe, during the time the two were dating in secret. Light The Night:For Anne’s (AnneLabryinth) Deaf MEP! I honestly don’t remember how I came up with this idea, but ultimately it’s an idea that’s so flipping cute that I would kill to expand on it one day! The story is about a Prince and an Evergreen Goddess (who I named Eve) who meet during the spring and winter months when she comes to develop the evergreen trees in the forest that’s near his castle. This takes place sometime into their relationship, when she’s visiting during Christmas and he decides to celebrate the holiday with her. I really am in love with how these came out. Truly it’s the first time in many years where I’ve been proud of the Christmas videos I’ve put out. The work I’ve put out this year in general is something I look back on very fondly. It also means that I actually had a busier time with Christmas than I did with Halloween. Truly - this is a bizarre time we live in. Tightrope [Oktai & Percy - MEP Part] WCRfan126 2021-11-29 | I am a woman of taste. No that’s a lie, I’m a sucker for drama and these troupes. Why do y’all think Arthur & Gwen are one of my top OTPs?Ok ok ok so actual description. This is for LadyoftheSea’s MEP Tightrope, which is centered around the theme of a person of higher class in love with someone of lower class. And I mean…come on. Come ON. Who the hell else was I supposed to pick? But more than that this troupe in general is just a favorite of mine. I think it’s a good source of drama without being overbearing in preventing the romance. It allows for more of a character study between the characters as you ask what’s really preventing them: society’s expectations, or the expectations they hold amongst themselves? It’s good shit y’all. And of course Percy and Oktai are a core premise of that. Though this is definitely an AU exploring what their relationship would be like if the circumstances were much different, the first major change being that Oktai actually is aware of Percy’s title. I did this because I wanted to do something different and also I wanted to be able to show what the theme actually was. However, I was definitely conflicted on how to execute the part as a whole. I chose a very dramatic part of the song and y’all know how I am at matching the music and the visuals *seamlessly*. Because of that, it actually was gonna have a bad ending at first but then I had the idea to do a nightmare sequence, where Percy fears the consequences of this lifelong romance now that there’s more risk in it. They’re not little kids anymore, they’re adults and thus have more pressure on both of them. Overall I’m very proud of where I went with it, as I think it makes it more interesting in the long run. Especially since it’s only 20 seconds!Ramble over. Enjoy!PS: Cherilyn has brown eyes because that’s actually how I really envision her! I LIVE FOR THIS SHIT!!!When my friend Just Me (Merel) posted a MEP with this theme I had to take it immediately, even when it vastly conflicted with literally all of my schedules. But fuck it, aesthetics for the WIN. I decided to take a very fairytale approach to this, that while it’s very literally there’s also this more magical feel to it. Overall I’m very proud of it! Admittedly I was a little worried about not getting this done in time since I had to put some of it off due to my midterms, BUT I managed to get it done! WOOHOO!!! And this year, we did something very different! I decided that instead of doing my usual trend - one to two stories with similar vibes - I wanted to do a multitude of stories, and left it up to you guys with just a simple theme! In turn, we have something that’s a celebration of the holiday! To the supernatural of demons, werewolves, and witches. To the human presence of cults and murderers. To even the physical manifestation of death itself! Truly it’s all here! This project came about in response to my love of Over the Garden Wall and The Blair Witch Project. I think there is something deeply unsettling about the woods in how deep it can go and how easy it is to get lost in it. It’s so easy to be cut off from civilization and you never really know the true horrors that await you. Plus, I also love anthologies! So I treated this as an anthology video coming from a similar theme and aesthetics. But obviously part of this wouldn’t be possibly with the other six creative minds who gave me the prompts for me to tackle! You all posed such unique and fascinating stories for me, and showing them in just 17 seconds was quite the challenge. I genuinely hope I did all of your ideas justice, as I overall feel very proud of the final product! Enjoy! Unlike last year where I made sure to make the stories as clear as possible, this year I went with something more vague in order to give off an unsettling tone. So if the parts feel a little confusing at times, in a way they’re supposed to.-Part 4 definitely feels different than the initial sentence prompt, from a surface level. However, Liv gave the prompt that she did in order to bring to life a year old werewolf Sinita AU thats entirely her own! And I’m thrilled to have been able to bring at least some of it to life!-Definitely an important note is that this is all based on my interpretations of the prompts. There is an equal challenge of coming up with an idea and bringing it to life based on your view point. Howl [Tarzan & Chel - MEP Part] WCRfan126 2021-10-29 | To quote my friend Maria: lol chel diesIs this my third time editing this song? Yes. Will it be the last? Man who knows at this point.This is for Crossing Infinity Studios, a crossover studio I’ve been in for a year and just NOW finishing a part for. Yaaayyy XD. But the studio is currently loads of fun and I’m excited to do more MEP projects for it in the future!SO this was an idea I’ve had since July and I thought it was gonna be for my original Halloween video. But obviously I ended up scrapping it for Angry River, however I wasn’t totally willing to let it go completely. Hence this MEP part!Tarzan was originally gonna be possessed by a demon, but then I watched Midnight Mass and went “idk maybe vampires are cool after all”. Does this mean most of my future horror projects will always be inspired by Mike Flanagan’s works? Probably! In any case I just really love the horror of not being to control one’s impulses, especially when they’re heightened to such an animalistic degree. I definitely wanna expand on this story sometime in the future just because there’s a lot of potential with it, but this is just a starter for now and I’m quite happy with it! Where Is My Mind [Non/Disney Crossover - MEP Part] WCRfan126 2021-10-25 | Can you tell I still think about Hill House and Bly Manor too much? Listen it’s not my fault those two shows are literally masterpieces of horror.I’ve been wanting to do a story and atmosphere like this for quite some time now and Faben’s new Halloween MEP gave me the perfect opportunity! Again like last year’s MEP part I wanted to tap in to what personally freaks me out and what I would be scared of. And uh I am frankly terrified of ghosts. Everytime I’m home alone my paranoia tricks me into thinking that I’m not alone and someone that I can’t see is watching me. Terrifying, absolutely hate it. So that’s what this is! Also why the men are depicted as ghosts in this, it’s supposed to be unclear if that’s what they actually are. Is the supernatural or the eventual guilt taking the form of those she killed to taunt her psyche? And if that ending is confusing it is supposed to be. I wanted something that really evoked the feeling of the unknown. So never truly knowing what’s down that hallway or what happened to her is part of the creep factor. Also I just an eerie “wtf” shot.
