Then when I made the video, the automatic claim system denied any access to the video for the song. I did all sorts of messed up things to the song to the point it was unlistenable and the system still caught it, so I just let it go. Until a week ago, looking at my Studio for reasons I don't remember anymore, I saw this can now be shared! So I reuploaded the original file with the original audio for the best experience.I think when making this, judging by the footage quality, was before I recorded my own aside from the big trunk of gold section. Ashley (RE4/5) Ellikiins 2022-09-06 | “No one will love you like I love you” }Character Key:- Leon represents my father- Jill, my mother- Ashley stands in for myself- Chris is “the other man”Nearly 11 years later, we return to a very poignant moment of my life and my “editing career.” The process of making the original is still very strong in my memories; how it felt to make, the steps I took to make it possible, and why I had to release it and let it go. I wanted to come back and give it a “remaster” with such a beefy computer with higher quality footage, and now with my improved editing techniques. The moment is so old it isn't an open wound anymore, but rather a dull scar to remember it by. Despite how old the original was, I occasionally would go back and watch it and look at in pride. So this isn't a video to “fix” the old one, but to just give it a new life and polish. I still very much love this song, but I also left it behind me with that video. Revisiting it with such wiser eyes and ears without all the emotions to bog it down is therapeutic. Frankly, I am just desperate to edit or make something, ANYTHING, so I took this project on.I am glad my mother doesn't know of this channel, or care to know about this hobby of mine. I remember telling my dad about the original video, and eventually showing it to him. Even today, as I live much closer to my mother after swearing to give myself distance, I have allowed her back in hopes that things have changed. In ways they have, but coming back to this STILL doesn't make me feel bad for making mom the villain (well, it's guilt and fear if she were to find out about that I made her the villain). These moments of my childhood with her still stick with me today, so I think I could argue this video today is still a way to vent and explore how I feel about her, watching it through my father's eyes as it all fell apart. It felt like a “us versus her” situation for me, so I stood with Dad. Hence why Ashley is seen next to Leon “inside,” and seen watching their fights, and how it destroys Leon.The story is from Leon's perspective, with Ashley watching her parents fight and die over and over again trying to stay under the same roof. Perhaps it's a metaphor, or if you prefer, Leon and Jill really die, destroyed by their marriage. To me, I see the symbolism and what it all means to me. However, it is still up to your interpretation. I know I like to give everything away and explain everything—but it's maybe best to let it sit for once.And for clarification for whomever may care, I released the original video in November 2011, and my parents did eventually split maybe half a year later and were officially divorced by 2013. And I'm glad they did. Staying together for the children can be so much more painful than just letting the house be more empty, but healthier.Also, masking is hard. About following the plot of XCOM 2, in perspective of the Commander and his or her efforts leading their team in guerilla warfare against extremely powerful dictators of aliens (ultimately, the Elders). Rebellion against propaganda and to win back their own planet after failing in XCOM: Enemy Unknown/Within. Probably some deep thoughts there about guilt and revenge in that too, if you feel so inclined to care about it. All edited under the aesthetic of hacked, low quality connection to a resistance feed.I edited it under the intention to follow the plot, to be generic to any player as their own Commander. All to hopefully open up a future romantic relationship. That bridge is intended as a metaphor, maybe playing with how they initially interacted when they first met. Say So || Leon x Sheva (RE4/5) Ellikiins 2020-04-03 | All started when I was vegging out on my first day off this week, I looked on tumblr to see what the Sheva Alomar tag had to say, and interestingly enough, a couple people have found Leon/Sheva very shippable. I took this as personal encouragement to edit another video of them, given I crave to make ANYTHING, but lack the creative juices to do it. It just came together finally! With much trial & error, I got the idea to give it a 70s film coloring and grain, with tacky transitions to boot! It worked well, actually correcting on top of my other color corrections to get scenes between the two game to marry together. I am very impressed how much it helped the illusion. I even did a single manip at the end, and that gives me hope that I can do it again like "back in the day" when I had more time to make videos. I just need to give myself some patience. I'm broadening my Resident Evil game horizons so maybe, JUST maybe, I might use other games than RE4 & 5 for two seconds. Instead she comes across as the token native to the poverty-stricken, and scary foreign place to make Chris the white savior and CAPCOM not look racist for killing a militia of infected black Africans. But... it really isn't that deep. Dance with the Devil || Kirie Himuro (Fatal Frame) Ellikiins 2017-12-12 | Because when you love a game so much you gotta throw a shoutout to the villainess with her own video. I've been very invested in her past, her role, her ritual and her fate and perhaps from bias because the first game is my very, very favorite game in the series. However, I do like how tangible the Strangling Rituals are in comparison to a more abstract one like the third, perhaps. It's simple to understand, and so very cruel. I am not too happy with this and I've nitpicked it to pieces, re-rendering over and over. I might have gone a little too abstract in my ideas and it's hard to carry with my limited amounts of footage. I thought of making it about ALL the villains in the trilogy for their struggle with their sacrifices but the scope seemed too wide and unfocused. I just want to finish it and post it and move on now ;__;The song reminds me of Kirie as she “danced with the devil” both in falling in love and also when she became corrupted by the Malice when the Calamity occurred. It made her soul angry and vengeful for ripping her from experiencing life, her love, and her body to pieces. These rituals ruined so many girls' lives as they were so cruel, but when she failed her ritual it put so much ruin onto her family and the living world. She lashes out by putting the same affliction on her victims but never receives any relief in return, over and over. I got a couple ideas from different songs but I guess I didn't want to stray too far into the “weird crack couple” territory yet again. Vanilla is so rare around here it may not seem so vanilla, maybe?I thought about expanding the song longer to include Miku and/or Kei to show how helpless Rei felt with the loss of her friends and allies but I didn't really have the clips in mind or a good edit in the song to really carry that idea. I wanted to keep it simple especially as the footage laid itself, and to allow the clips and music marry into the haunting tone. I went with the deteriorating VHS “aesthetic” to keep in line with the stylist auto tune in the most natural way a game taking place in the 80's could. But making it look authentic was the hardest and longest part as it took so much fine tuning. The stack of effects and overlays actually made my program stutter in playback, even in the smallest draft setting.But I did it! That's rather new and exciting for me to accomplish. It's private for a long while now simply because the quality in editing is terrible. It was my second video from 7 years ago after all! While venturing through these old videos, I found inspiration for my next idea.I wanted to return to Rei & Nick, the rare staple OTP of the channel. It's rare because with the lack of footage of Nick and lack of variation and emotional range of Rei it's pretty hard to settle on clips to portray what I set to accomplish. It doesn't give me much range in concept like Miku & Ellis would, so it usually a “not impressed” or “I begrudgingly love you secretly” theme as it's their dynamic I have pictured for them.Not really happy with the effects I settled with, but I felt it was the best I could get, y'know? I'm out of practice so doing manipulations between two drastically different games seems quite terrifying, especially from recently rewatching my old videos when I got pretty damn good at it and I don't want to take a step back. But who knows if you don't try? What could really go wrong with an oldie-but-goodie crack pairing? They are still OTP.Lots of color correcting, masking and chroma keying to try and keep the scenes consistent between games to make it more believable that they co-exist. I am only sad there is no more scenes of Ellis to really vary up the manipulations, y'know? I just can't make my crack shippings easy!!STORY:Everyone knows Miku's biggest insecurity is her sixth sense, which made her latch so closely to her late elder brother as he was the only one she could open up to. After losing him, she is still reluctant to speak up about it, finally telling her friend and caregiver Rei only after the two were in grave danger of the Tattoo Curse. Even as she confronts her powers and overcomes her curses, she wakes up by herself often, as she prefers to keep it... at least until she meets the American boy, Ellis (and being exclusively very Japanese, she can't tell the difference between a Cowboy and a Southerner, so that's how I run with the cowboy theme in the music here). He is almost overbearing at first, loud and outgoing, overtly friendly and protective despite their language barrier. He obviously likes her, but Miku is still holding up her walls in fear he discovers her unbelievable secrets and finds her disturbing and too odd to maintain a relationship, friendly or otherwise. But he is a weirdo too, talks too much, and loves cars, Jimmy Gibbs, Jr., and karate, and tries plenty hard to hold Miku's attention in hopes of some returned affection. My Love, I Tell Myself || Rei & Miku (Fatal Frame I + III) Ellikiins 2017-11-07 | Did anyone miss me out there? It's been four years since my last traditional GMV. I just didn't have the inspiration, or interest to edit. Recently I had tried to pick it up again, but nothing really struck me. Found plenty of new music to enjoy and being on a Fatal Frame kick I tried to relate it to Dua Lipa's “New Rules” when it hit me. The clips usage came very easily and I finished rather quickly. The hardest part was trying to find my archive of footage on my PC and a good hour trying to find the cutscene of Rei answering the phone! I should find some better quality footage sometime, though.The message isn't intended to be so literal as its about Rei's and Miku's relationships with their dead loves ones (and one being a lover; the other, a brother). My main inspiration is Tecmo's need to open old wounds for Miku after all she has been through just to throw in this shadow lovechild with her dead brother to only be finally killed off. It erases all her progress and lesson learned after the end of Fatal Frame 3, making her clingy, obsessive, and weak without Mafuyu, even with how brave, resourceful, and determined she is to rescue him in the first place and return to it again due to her grief. The point isn't “get over it”, “forget him”, or “never stumble in your path to recovery,” (i.e. chasing him down the hall) but to live your life in spite of their passing and keep their memory alive. Having her vanish and abandon her child for fourteen years because she just *had* to return to Mafuyu is insulting. She is the original protagonist to a series I love (and my personal bias) and deserves more than some incestuous injections to attempt to reach some of the notoriety of FF2: Crimson Butterfly again. A “Roomtes Wanted” Musical: All I Want for Christmas Ellikiins 2015-12-13 | WHOA, WHO OPENED THE TIME CAPSULE?! Why was there even a time capsule to begin with?!! Well, long story short: Once upon a December of 2013, I made this. In the end, I was unhappy with it, and never posted it. Then my computer's OS got corrupted from trying to update Windows 8 to 8.1 forcefully. I knew there had to be a way to fix it but I didn't know exactly how to get my hands on the right Recovery Disk—and eventually I lost the ASUS helpline number I got and began to work full time to leave my computer tower and monitor to collect dust. I never forgot... just never had the energy to do it, and it just turned into “I'll get to it soon” for like... almost two years? I refused to restore it to factory default because there was some files I didn't back up in time (I'm talking about “Roomtes Wanted” and “Starcrossed” files here, including the game files itself. I wouldn't be completely SOL, but it was farther back than I wanted to start from again especially since there was a way to get around it.) So then I stopped working at the hellhole that I allowed to consume me and to keep myself busy, I looked into a recovery disk and all is back as I left it! Plus, I shouldn't be bothered about updating to 8.1 by force anymore... but I'm prepared if it does! MWAHAHAHA.And while looking at the files I left behind, I found this and didn't hate it so much anymore. It isn't so bad for being a product of two years past. So, I suppose I'll post it. He takes his attention away from her to start spreading flyers of his services around town, but he ends up saving a beautiful young woman from a gruff ex-boyfriend and actually gets her and her brother to live with him! Could he get any luckier? Well, yeah... because turns out she hates members of law enforcement. Bummer. Roomtes Wanted | July (Episode 1) | A Sims 3 Series Ellikiins 2013-10-30 | Lynton Johnson was a young man who had everything made: beach house in Sim Hollywood, money, nice clothes--but it was all under his parents' successes. Wanting to finally be self-sustaining, he inherits a mortgage and a house in Twinbrook, deep inside the humid, harsh swamp on the lowerclass side of town. However, despite the disarray the house is in, the payments are still too big for an aspiring solo Private Investigator such as himself. Conversely, it seems finding roommates in this crazy town is harder than he ever imagined.---lol I was gonna finish Starcrossed first, but I got stuck (much like I did in episode 4). I don't see any harm in overlapping the two series, seeing as I have no set-time schedule for these. I mean, these are for fun! But I am wary of starting any new LPs because all that means is that I will want to make ANOTHER series of it!! I CAN'T STOP. SEND HELP.But the Sims of Ambitions are actually more "worthy" of a series--as the LP has some conflict and story arcs (supposedly.) It is a lot more about the personalities, and getting personal surviving each other; something University MS never was with neither Nani, Tank, Lennard nor Stella.With that said, I don't know how many episodes there will be. I just know it will be longer, and with more characters to focus on so making a distinct plot, planning per episode, is a lot harder for me. Birthday Suit | A Sims 3 Music Video Ellikiins 2013-10-26 | Guess who's back. Back again. Yes, the Ambitions crew is back. Tell a friend.AND BACK BETTER THAN EVER. Because for my birthday I got a monster desktop computer! I've had gone through many laptops throughout the years, all with "meh" video cards and small power--but they always got the job done until they seemed to commit suicide a couple years later. This is the first time I've had such a powerhouse. I am so happy (and grateful, really!). I finally got to put Sims 3 to their top quality graphics and it works like butter. Even recording I get to keep a much higher framerate (Stayed in the 20s, as opposed to Starcrossed on my laptop fluxed around 10-16, and many times dropping less than 10 FPS). Can we mention how rendering this video took 1 minute and 47 seconds? At this quality, length and amount of footage, this would have taken AT LEAST half and hour. Wow. Just wow. So much excite right now.Also, when they call these blacklights, they aren't kidding. All my Sims look black here, despite having causasian, asian, and hispanic complexions. Starcrossed || Episode 4: Graveside || A Sims 3 Series Ellikiins 2013-10-22 | Nani and Tank are officially an item, dating a few months strong. After Nani's parents' blessing, the Subjects have accepted Tank. Soon, Tank was befriending Lennard and becoming a fixture at the Subjects' house. The pair is happy and moving forward in their relationship smoothly, and it starts to get serious. However, the fact that Nani cannot be proudly introduced to his family as he is to her's weighs heavy on Tank, seeing as she is still a secret. But with a bitter younger brother with a vengeful, watchful eye it may not stay that way for long. Moreover, Nani quickly learns her family isn't as honest as she's come to expect with a Pandora's box of secrets asking to be opened.~~~~HEY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME. HERE'S MY GIFT FOR YOU ALL!Wow. Just. Wow. Where do I start? Where to I stop? Just this. Fucking. Episode. I went in knowing it was going to be the longest, biggest one and it would put me out of my comfort zone, being such a novice Sims machinima-ist. And this episode didn't get done without a fight. And I remember when I first picked interest in singing, I was more into rock so my voice "formed" to fit the genre (I want to avoid saying "trained" because I am not professionally trained besides choir and that's... eh). However, the one person I told that I fit rock most is actually a huge supporter in my singing (I am undeserving, really. You're the best, and you know exactly who you are) and he had yet to hear me perform something relatively close to rock. Being into pop-like genres now, I didn't think I would fit so well back into this genre but I think it's my best yet. I am actually quite pleased to hear otherwise, in MY opinion. I love how I got to perform in a more mature voice for once (I was an alto in choir for 5 years, so you think I'd do lower registers more or something).So... uh, Akira, buddy... since you are out of Konami now, you might need a new female vocalist... Starcrossed Opening/Intro Credits Ellikiins 2013-04-03 | Leave it to me to give everything intros, amirite? Or amirite?From here on, these will replace the "previously" sections in the episodes. Simply because I don't think I can recap thirty-two minutes of an episode into one minute! So I think this sums up the series, as well as introduces the characters. I did them in order of recognizable names (aka the canon, pre-made Sims 2 Sims of Strangetown) and built up to our main characters, Tank and Nani. I also give reference to their "originals" from the miniseries (or... before the miniseries, really) with footage from Sims 2. Nani's Sims 3 self looks like the actress that portrays someone in a dramatizations from a forensic show and is far more better-looking. Blah.I like the idea of the video, but it didn't render exactly as the preview did so I am little disappointed in the OCD, perfectionist things only the video creator will see and not you. Not only this, but the big, bad, racist Tank seems remorseful and even affectionate for our dear protagonist. But is it all a trick to get the 411 on the Subjects to turn in for Tank's father? Hmm, he may get past Nani's better judgement... but her family won't be as easy to convince. SPOILERS: It's a romance story from here on out. Starcrossed || Episode 1: The First Day || A Sims 3 Series Ellikiins 2013-03-11 | Meet Nani and Lennard Subject, the green twins of Nervous Subject and Lola Singles. They had always attended a private school, but seeing as the school was shut down for catastrophic reasons, they are forced to spend the last of their Senior year in the local public school of Strangetown. Little do they know how much their lives will change by the faces they meet along the way. This includes the eldest Grunt son, Tank, infamous for his alien-paranoid family beliefs. This is the story before the story; the beginnings of the University crew of two alien twins and their lovers. What else could you ask for?--I have no excuses for you. I'm sorry. The muses have no reason when they speak to me and desire me to create. I am guilty of watching a handful of Sims machinima and series. I've been told about three times by three, separate people that my writing is like watching a movie, and with University Life released and my deep connection to the Sims I play with in my LP miniseries I felt compelled to create this. I mean... YOLO, right? *slapped*I know I like to think I am so amazing and could do it better than all the terrible machinima I've seen, but I noticed about four mistakes after the first playback of the final product. Ugh. Good going, Elli. And let's not even talk about the glitches and mistakes in the animations. Oye.Despite how much making machinima is just torture, I just love to torture myself. I have a good friend of mine who really likes these two, and even before he put these two together, I saw videos supporting these two. I guess with enough headcannon and crack you can create a legit OTP out of them. I mean, I can support Ellis/Miku, from two different games and time frames, I sure can support someone supporting a couple such as LeonxSheva. Leva? Sheon? Idgaf.Have to admit I hadn't made a crossover video in awhile. I worked decently hard with masking, and no glitches occurred. My only problem was getting inspiration after the first 15 seconds. I get rather angry when people toss my work to the side by trolling on it, mocking it, or solely not watching my videos because I post something NOT using footage the viewer may not know. I may not comment all the time, but I try my best to at least watch all my subscriptions' videos. I still work hard, and so what if it's crack couples? So what if it uses TF2 footage? So what if it isn't scary enough? I didn't make it for YOU, and YOU need to loosen up, because seriously, I hope you a sincere "fuck you" until then. But I know that how immature people are on the internet, especially when being a troll is more mainstream than ever and everyone wants in for the shits and giggles. And I KNOW how every video I make will be under-appreciated with the effort I put into them because people suck, and YouTube's changes have made it harder and harder for "small" YouTubers to get decent audiences. I am fucking used to it. And it sucks. But I am going to keep doing what I enjoy to do: express and share. Even if it's Miku and Ellis, and NOT Ellis and Zoey. Or Sheva and Chris, and NOT Chris and Jill. Or I have used Sims out of no where after countless videos with survival-horror clips.
