In this video, I go over my overall experience with this air pistol after a few videos and some extra off-camera plinking!I haven’t tried a whole bunch of them, but let’s just say this is my favorite handheld BB shooter so far — 100%.The half-blowback system strikes a nice balance between velocity and realism, making this replica both fun and accurate.The trigger is far from match-grade, with a fairly long pull due to the way the BBs feed, but that also seems to make it less ammo-picky than most I’ve tried so far.I haven’t had a single issue other than a slow start in the first episode. In the last episode we did our best to put this beast under the chronograph to have a better idea of the velocity and consistency!I usually oil the out of the box and do this test afterwards but I forgot... so I wanted to do it before this one while wasting a bit of the extra co2 at the beginning which seems to be escaping from the blowback port and causing it to be a bit less consistent {Just watch the chrony & trigger video okay}It might not have the best trigger ever (still decent for how those work) or be the most powerful (still way more than a full blowback) but it seems like it can shoot about any brand of BBs pretty well from a reasonable distance!By the looks of it you get around 4x18 shots aka ~72 BBs by Co2 cartridge which is pretty good considering the blowback featureEnough said, stay tuned for the final review and more videos in the future! In this episode, we’re testing the @UmarexAir Glock 17 Gen5 half-blowback for velocity using standard 5.1gr Umarex BBs to see if it can reach the 370 fps claimed on the box!I also go over the trigger and share something I discovered about the feeding system while checking the trigger pull weight. The overall feel is decent, but it seems like you need to pull the trigger fairly quickly or it can cause issues. {This may have affected the chronograph results since I was pulling slowly on some shots, especially at the start… but eh!}I wasn’t too happy with the footage or the Caldwell’s performance under changing light (thanks, clouds), but I’m not remaking this video—filming takes a lot of time and videos barely pay anything. After a little hiccup at the end of the last video, I took a short break to let my bad luck fade… but apparently it hasn’t run out yet!- At first, the pistol wouldn’t work. (Not sure if the valve was jammed or if the weather played a part—it wasn’t SUPER hot.)- Then, while filming, I lost half the footage because my phone overheated. (It was only around 21°C, which is usually fine for my phones but they start whining arround -1°C)- Finally, I think an automatic update on my other phone changed the camera settings by itself… so editing took a few extra hours, and exporting ran my PC at 100% all night.Enough about my luck.To be honest, after trying only one other blowback pistol, I wasn’t sure if I’d enjoy this one as much as I hoped… but it actually has a few advantages that make it more fun!- First, the non-adjustable sights hit a reasonable spot. The other pistol I tried had an adjustable hop-up but still couldn’t hit the target accurately, so that adjustment was pointless.- Second, the spring on the KWC was VERY strong with no way to hold it down. Unless you have a speed loader, it’s an absolute pain to load and will destroy your fingernails trying to hold it down.Overall, I’m pretty happy with this pistol’s performance—aside from the weird issue at the start, which gave me the chance to show why they warn you not to load BBs before testing if the CO₂ is pierced/working properly first.Stay tuned for more videos on this cool lookin pistol where I will test the trigger, velocity... accuracy and maybe more! In this episode we will be taking a ''final'' look at the @UmarexAir StrikeForce Full auto BB slinger!youtube.com/playlist?list=PLaGHFBB-xzEAiLD9wK6-eHqEeIlwH3BI8&si=I2sujLGhY2HYI0XJThis was my first blowback/fun switch BB rifle and it was alot of fun to try!Overall it performed pretty well going over the claimed velocity with reasonable accuracy.(Quick note I just cleaned it for the first time after this video and I would recommend that you clean it using something like the @PatchWorm_bore_cleaners and that you do check the tiny screws every now and then... hopefully this did not affect the accuracy test too bad.)I had a little bit of a trigger glitch when going from semi to full auto but it fixed itself with a generous but careful clean and lube using thicker silicone oil (Superlube O-ring)Yet it was an easy fix but I would like Umarex to be clearer about the maintenance steps and a few other things in the manual to give the customer a better long term experienceSpoiler alert: They also sent me the Umarex AER16 a battery powered rifle so it should be fun to compare and see the advantages of both powerplantsStay tuned for more videos! In the last video with the @UmarexAir StrikeForce, We tested accuracy using only one brand of BB... mainly because I totally forgot to bring more! I wasn’t fully satisfied since it shot better with Umarex BBs early on, so I made this extra video. (PT 1: youtu.be/sZsJdifnQCE?si=YN6xxZ2UJiu_BItu)It’s performing pretty well overall, aside from a small trigger glitch when switching between semi and full auto that got worse this time. Hopefully a clean and some lube will fix it {stay tuned}The trigger is kind of heavy, but I don’t mind it is more of a fun plinker than a match‑grade rifle, and the blowback action definitively adds a lot of fun to itVelocity exceeded my expectations! After unboxing the @UmarexAir StrikeForce, giving it a first try on camera, spending four extra co2 cartridges having fun & giving the red dot a quick zero at a family event, testing the velocity together in the last episode...It is now time to test the accuracy a little bit!It performed pretty well yet overall, aside from a small trigger glitch when switching from semi to full which now new the bolt to be pulled to work(used to fix itself after a harder trigger pull and a semi shot in full auto)Which is not a big deal if you know it I think I will simply rack the bolt more often / especially if I switch modesThe trigger is also kind of heavy but I don't really notice it on this kind of airgun The Velocity is definitevely way over what I was expecting! It performed pretty well overall, aside from a small trigger issue during the first full-auto burst and maybe a bit of sticking in the magazine yetAccuracy seems to be decent for a BB gun and we got a reasonable amount of shots even using the fun switch a fairbit! (A bit over 3 mags)The Velocity is definitevely way over what I was expecting! NateChrony – Accurate Chronograph for Airguns, Calibrated & Ready (First Impressions) @NateChrony. Lowkey Airgunner 2025-05-03 | Just before shot show I landed on NateChrony's Instagram page via a post from out friend @BuckRailAirguns and after a quick chat he offered to send us a box to play with juste before he left before @shotshow I already had 2 different Chronographs but this one is quite different!Unlike my Caldwell it is not sensitive to lighting and compared to the Acetech I will not have to aim into a small opening preventing me from shooting at a target all at once.You do need to have the abbility to mount it to your barrel but once this is done you will not have to worry about much!It comes with two 1/2 20 adapters but he also has a growing range of custom adapters (BuckChrony is also noice)Other than for Co2 airguns which can trigger the sensors if blasting too much co2 this sounds like a solid option!I am excited to try it some more hoping that this will make the FX Drs shot string more enjoyable than my last few tries with the finicky Caldwell!A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the channel over the past few years. Umarex Marlin Lever Action BB Gun – Accuracy Test {22 Feet} | Best BBs? | @AirgunSourceCanada Lowkey Airgunner 2025-04-09 | Our friends at @AirgunSourceCanada received new stuff and sent me one of them to try it out on the channel and tell you what I think about it!The basement is a perfect environment to test a lower velocity plinker like this one (If you make sure to have the right BB trap and eye protection)In this video I wanted to see if I would like the peep sight and if it would affect accuracy (Seems good enough but I kinda prefer the RR sight myself)Then I mounted the @BuckRailAirguns RRUBR and a laser sight so both you and I can see a bit better what is happening on target!(No screw on the back of the receiver to use the scope mount)Then I wanted to experiment with cleaning pellets to see if it will improve accuracy (Maybe? Umarex Marlin Lever Action BB Gun – Trigger Pull, Velocity Test & Oiling Tips! |@AirgunSourceCanada Lowkey Airgunner 2025-04-05 | Our friends at @AirgunSourceCanada received new stuff and sent me one of them to try it out on the channel and tell you what I think about it!This should be perfect for a basement review while waiting for winter to go away.Now we are taking a look at this Marlin (Umarex brand) lever action BB gun!It might look a bit familiar to some of us... not to say that it is pretty much copied on the iconic Daisy Red RyderIt seems like Umarex is a fairbit closer to their claim on the velocity it even seems like it might gain a few extra fps after break in making it closer to 290fps (Claim 300fps vs 350 for the RR which does the same velocity)The overall weight also seemed to be as close at it could be with a light production and scale error margin!Now for the trigger we did get better results than expected / claimed on the box being just under 4 pounds instead of ~5LB like they claimed on the box!Stay tuned for more videos on lever action BB repeater where I will test the accuracy before the final review! [Subscribed]________Post from AirGunSource Blog__________What Kind of Oil Should I Use?These silicone parts are durable but can dry out as the super cold CO2 continually passes through them over time. If they dry out, they can crack and if they crack, you have a leak. A drop of RWS Chamber Lube on the tip of each CO2 cartridge will help prevent this from happening. As you shoot, a little bit of that oil will pass into the valve and keep the inner part of the valve from becoming dry. Secondly, the oil will prevent the CO2 cartridge from tearing the puncture seal if when a new CO2 cartridge is installed.Air rifles are quite different from CO2 powered air pistols but still share silicone parts. The seal at the end of the piston is typically silicone. Older spring powered guns use a leather seal. In either case, RWS Chamber lube is the way to go for two reasons. First, it will not damage the silicone seal material when applied. It is also safe for leather. The second reason is that your spring-piston air rifle is very much like a piston/cylinder arrangement in a motor. Every time you pull the trigger is a compression stroke. The compression stroke is where combustion occurs for both gas and diesel engines. If there is a fuel source in the cylinder, the heat of compression will ignite that fuel source. Just like a diesel motor, a fuel/air combination will detonate and release heat energy. A by-product of this is additional pressure. You’ll know this is happening by the tell-tale loud sonic report and the wisp of smoke that comes out of the barrel.This additional pressure can damage the action of your pistol or rifle. We’ve seen many spring powered guns come in for service with broken mainsprings. That is the most common failure with a gun that has been lubed with the wrong oil. Abusers of the phenomenon will sometimes cause the rod to separate from the piston. When this happens, no repairs can be made. The truth is that the cylinder of a spring piston air gun requires very little lubrication. And for the reasons listed above, that lubrication needs to be non-petroleum based. RWS Chamber Lube is 100% silicone oil. How to Fix Your Beeman P17 – Easy Piston Seal Repair (Partial Disassembly) @AirgunSourceCanada Lowkey Airgunner 2025-03-01 | This little budget match grade air pistol has been treating me very well during the last few years... but it recently lost a bit of power most likely due to time (Seals drying) and neglect (Not trying to keep them lubed)It is now time to try and fix my mistakes! (and the seals most likely)In this episode I am changing the piston / compression chamber seal since it is the easiest of the internal seals to access.I did not polish the breathing hole even if it was a bit sharp but by the look of it this seal was not really my issue at the end of the day unless it fitting exactly like the worn but original o-ring giving me the same velocities(I do recommend that you polish if very sharp/ you don't have spare o-rings)Also make sure to take a look down the tube to clean any excess dirt!Mine was coated with black grime which was most likely a bunch of burnt white lithium grease. Buck Rail AR Grip Adapter for Crosman Pistols - New Look, Smoother Pull, Ultimate Customization! How to Make a Budget Pellet Trap & Lead Catcher for Airguns | Repair After ~3500 Shots!
