Quantel Paintbox Video Feedback Experiments DextersOtherBits 2019-03-02 | Just some experiments with video feedback on a quantel paintbox using the Over Live feature which has a cutout that can be placed over live video which in this case the output of the paintbox itself.The SDI output of the paintbox runs into a SDI to CV converter which in turn is fed into a TVOne C2-2355A Video Scaler and then output as SDI into the Paintbox. The scaler has lots of zooming, timing, smoothing options that affect the picture. My thanks go out to the ex MPC employee who supplied me with a copy of the source.The DVM-8000 was a real-time 3D video effects system by Quantel.Although this footage exists on youtube already, my source was much higher quality than any other copy i have seen. It's been upscaled to 720P to preserve the original 625 line format.
