Minus World in Vs. Super Mario Bros. IsoFrieze 2023-01-05 | Vs. Super Mario Bros. was an arcade release of Super Mario Bros. with some level changes (primarily to make the levels harder). Bricks were removed near the end of 1-2 (and 4-2) to make it much more difficult to access the Minus World.This video shows it is still possible, and that it takes you to the underwater sublevel in 5-2 and 6-2 instead of 7-2 like in the original game.
Get to 8-1 without playing worlds 1 through 7 in Super Mario Bros. IsoFrieze 2022-09-03 | I don't have Tennis nor Super Mario Bros. original NES cartridges so I couldn't show this working on real hardware, but it should work in theory.Also: Duck Hunt + Super Mario Bros. + World Track Class Meet will work instead of Super Mario Bros. standalone. Duck Hunt + Super Mario Bros. will not work however.

Chocolate Island 2, Normal Exit - 274 (Get Yoshi, Switch Palace) IsoFrieze 2022-05-05 | This version of the strat is for when you enter the level as Cape Mario and without Yoshi. The sprite slots are VERY finicky here, and you have to make sure you don't kill any of the dinos you aren't supposed to and to make sure they move the correct direction.This version also displays what happens when you DON'T reset the game before doing this trick. The game hangs for 17 seconds as a timer counts all the way down from 256 to 0. This only works on the Japanese version. On the English version, if you don't reset, this will act just like a normal message block and won't end the level (even though it still displays the switch palace text).
Chocolate Island 2, Normal Exit - 284 (Switch Palace) IsoFrieze 2022-05-05 | Game breaker.You had to have reset the game to the title screen and re opened the save file without visiting a switch palace or the intro cutscene in order for the message to go away this quickly. Otherwise, it will take 17 seconds to go away (About 25 game seconds). That would effectively make this a 259 IGT, which is still much faster than doing the level normally.Now need to find a setup where you don't start the level with yoshi, and get him from the block (you likely would have have Yoshi at this point in say, 96 Exit).
