Beat the soft butter & icing sugar until creamy and add the marzipan bit by bit.Mix flour, yeast and spices in a big bowl. Add the lukewarm milk, the salt and the butter mixture and knead for some minutes. Finally add the raisins and almonds and knead again.Let the dough rest for at least an hour (choose a warm place). Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celcius. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper. Form sausages and cut small pieces for the 'Stollenkonfekt'.Bake for about 12-15 minutes. Afterwards melt the butter, dip each piece into the butter and turn in icing sugar (it's best if the Konfekt is still a bit warm). Let it cool, eat or store in a tin!SPRITZGEBÄCK RECIPE:Ingredients150g soft butter100g icing sugar1 egg1 vanilla podpinch of salt225g flour120g ground almonds1 tbsp. cream200g baking chocolatePut the soft butter into a bowl, sieve the icing sugar and add to the butter. Mix well. Add the vanilla pod, the egg and salt. Sieve the flour and add together with the almonds. Finally add the cream. Line two baking trays with baking paper.Put the soft batter into a piping bag and form the shapes you love. Cool the Spritzgebäck for about 20 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200g degrees Celcius, then bake for 10-12 minutes. Let it cool. Melt some chocolate and dip half of each biscuit into the chocolate. Let it rest for about 1 hour.PFEFFERNÜSSE RECIPE:Ingredients80g butter80g sugar1 egg100g honey350g flourpinch of nutmegpinch of ground cinnamonpinch of ground anispinch of black pepperpinch of ground clovespinch of ground ginger50g ground almonds1 tbs baking powderFor the coating you need about 75g icing sugar and about 2 tbsp lemon juiceMix butter, sugar and egg and beat until creamy. Add the honey. Mix flour with nutmeg, cinnamon, anise, pepper, cloves, ginger, baking powder and almonds. Add the butter mixture and the honey and knead.Line a baking tray with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius. Make small and flat balls and bake for about 15 minutes. We finally visited Scotland's most famous island: The Isle of Skye! We stayed for 3 nights on Skye and tried to see as much as possible. We split our journey in 2 parts and stayed in the Trossachs & Loch Lomond National Park on our way to Skye. Just before we reached Skye, we visited Eilean Donan Castle, a real fairytale castle.On top of our list on Skye was the iconic Old Man of Storr in the North. We couldn't recommend this hike any more highly. You will be rewarded with amazing views and one of the most photographed landmarks in the world. We also visited The Quiraing, another landmark with amazing views as well as the Fairy Glen. Legend has it that it was created by fairies. We hope you like the video. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.Beat the butter, vanilla bean extract and pinch of salt. Add the eggs one after another. Mix the baking powder with the flour and add 3 tablespoons of milk. Put half of the batter into a separate bowl. Mix the cocoa powder with the sugar and mix into half of the batter. Put half of the white batter into the bundt pan, then put half of the dark batter on top of it. Repeat one more time. Create a marble effect by using a spoon and bake for about 50 minutes.Melt the dark and white chocolate separately. Pour the dark chocolate on top of the cake , then use a small amount of white chocolate and use a skewer for a marble effect. Let it rest for 30 minutes. Are you looking for a way to have the PERFECT Valentine's Day without spending a fortune? In our opinion Valentine's Day shouldn't be about spending a lot of money and buying expensive gifts: It's about spending time together! So in this video, we show you our favourite way to spend Valentine's Day: We're making the very popular German Black Forest Cake (Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte). It's a bit of an effort to make but very worth it. You can have it with your loved one (loved ones) just like that or as a dessert after dinner. We show you step by step how it's made. Kirsten & Joerg xx_____(*THIS VIDEO IS NOT SPONSORED*) RECIPE BLACK FOREST GATEAU:IngredientsFor the sponge cake6 eggs200g sugar200g flour50g corn starch50g cacao powder2 tsp. baking powdersome butter for the springformFor the filling1 glass of Schattenmorellen (or 350g canned cherries)2 tbsp corn starch1 litre whipping cream (we used 900g which works perfectly fine)1 tsp. sugar9 tbsp Kirschwasser100g grated chocolateMethodFor the sponge cake, put 6 eggs together with the sugar and 6 tablespoons of water into a bowl and beat for about 5 minutes until it looks double the size. Then mix the flour, starch, cacao powder and baking powder in a bowl. Sieve the flour mixture and add to the egg mixture bit by bit. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.Grease a springform (26cm diameter). Add the batter and bake for about 20 minutes. Leave it to cool. Let the cherries drain using a sieve and keep the juice. Use 2 tablespoons of cherry juice and mix with starch. Bring the remaining cherry juice to the boil and add the starch-cherry-mixture and let it cool down.Keep 16 (or in our case 12 cherries) for the decoration of the cake and add the rest of the cherries to the juice. Cut the sponge cake twice so that you get 3 equal parts. Brush the first layer with 3 tbsp of Kirschwasser and put all the cherries on top. Beat the whipping cream and put some of the cream on top of the cherries. Keep a bit of the cream for the decoration with a piping bag. Put the second layer of sponge cake on top of the cherries, brush with Kirschwasser and then add cream. Add the last layer and again brush with Kirschwasser. Use the remaining whipping cream to decorate the entire cake. Now use the piping bag and decorate little blobs and put a cherry on top of each of them. Decorate the top and sides of the cake with grated chocolate. Now cool in the fridge until you serve it. Use a rolling pin for the dough and put in your moulds or cookie cutters. Bake for 5-6 minutes at 150-175 degrees Celsius.
