In this video, Bishop Alexei discusses the Creed as the revelation to the human soul that there is a wonderful invisible world within us and a glorious invisible world beyond us that find their rest, their source, and their perfection in God. Belief in the invisible world gives us new eyes with which to see beyond sight, the courage to act when we appear to be alone, and the joy of knowing God’s presence even when this world seems so dark.
His flock is scattered among the vast lands of the State of Alaska, and for anyone that has traveled in the state, especially to the villages, knows the cost of traveling is VERY expensive. To give you an idea of how much it costs to get out to the villages, if you wanted to buy a box of laundry detergent, that would cost you a whopping $80! Now put that into travel costs for a flight out, lodging, food, etc, It is quite staggering.
