There's been some speculation that a member of Donald Trump's 2nd Term cabinet could run in 2028 presidential election. It's also possible that a cabinet from a former administration such as the Biden or Obama administrations could run. However, presidential history does not bode well for cabinet members seeking the executive office.

Trump's cabinet does contain some notable personalities and politicians such as Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Some have also looked at members of the former president Joe Biden's team such as Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg or even George W.
