One of my favorite normal desert overworld themes from the Mario series, it definitely seems inspired by the New Super Mario Bros. DS desert music. The song was written by the relatively new composer Yasuaki Iwata, known for music in Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8, and most recently Animal Crossing New Horizons. Aside from my remix, I really enjoy the instrumentation of the original.
