A good 4x8 utility trailer is critical to my outdoors and homestead lifestyle. When my trailer broke a shackle bolt, it was time to decide between a full rebuild, or the purchase of a new trailer. I decided to rebuild the current trailer from scratch. I stripped it to the frame, removed the rust, painted it, had a friend weld a bit on the axle, and put in all new decking and paneling. I put in new trailer lights and wiring. By the end of this project I'd gained some new skills, and I have a trailer that's pretty much as good as new.
