Welcome adventurer to the September SHIRO! Monthly Community Challenge! This month you shall venture forth across the continent of Mystaria, testing the sharpness of your weapon and mind against the War-Mage Bane’s diabolic forces. You stout-hearted travelers will be commanding the Blazing Heroes (aka Mystaria: The Realms of Lore). Who among you will muster the courage to stop the dreaded Lord Bane before it is too late? Ten prizes await those with the heart of a hero!
Contest Dates: September 1 – 30
RULES:
•Real Sega Saturn Hardware (including ODEs) and Emulation allowed!
•No Action Replay or Pseudo Saturn Cheats.
•Events will take the form of “book club” style conversations centered around shared weekly main campaign objectives. These conversations will take place in threaded spaces in the SHIRO! Community Challenge Discord server.
•Photographic evidence of progress is encouraged. (Photographic evidence, with time stamp, is mandatory for submissions to the merit-based awards)
•To participate, please post photo or comment on SHIRO! Community Challenge Discord Channel.
•The challenge organizers reserve the right to request additional information if cheating is suspected.
SCHEDULE:
WEEK 1: Sept. 1-8: Finish exploring forests and reach Dragoon Castle
WEEK 2: Sept. 9-15: Defeat the Ortoma pirates
WEEK 3: Sept. 16-22: Save the girl in the manor by Natis
WEEK 4: Sept. 23-30: Beat the game!
MERIT-BASED AWARDS:
•Blazing SHIRO!– participants who complete the game
•Mystarian Pioneer– first participant to complete the main story
•Blazing Fast Hero– participant with the lowest final time stamp
•King Aragon– participant with the highest combined stats for Aragon by the end of the month
•Rich Hero “Pennybags”– participant with the most gold by the end of the month
COMMUNITY AWARDS:
•You will just need to wait and see!
