In Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, we took a Cultural Colombo tour that included visits to a Buddhist temple and a Hindu temple, the popular Fort area of the city, a cultural show with local treats and saw much of the city from the coach or bus tour. We learned so much about Sri Lanka's colonial pre-colonial history when vast, gorgeous temples were built.
