Following a recent press conference raising concerns over the treatment and billing of a premature baby, Eden Medical Centre Management has issued an official clarification.
The hospital confirmed the baby, born at seven months of gestation weighing 920 grams, received 64 days of NICU care, and explained the gap between the CMHIS insurance package and actual treatment costs, along with the consent process, billing dispute, and its referral of the matter to the Nagaland Health Protection Society (NHPS) for resolution.
NHPS has confirmed it has taken up the issue with the hospital.
