In the late 60s Reader's Digest Records conceived a project where the bandleaders of the 30s and 40s would record current hits in their distinctive swing styles. The six-record set was recorded, produced, but never offered for sale. The musicians and a handful of people associated with the project were given copies; reportedly the remaining sets were destroyed. Among the bandleaders involved was Duke Ellington, and among the 72 song hits in the set was 'Mr Lucky' (Henry Mancini).
