Born and educated in Germany, Christoph Sensen, now lives and works in Calgary. Christoph's expertise is in imaging using caves, which is not a new idea really, but, the way he uses caves is different because he creates VR inside the system and can actually enlarge things. His CAVE is being used for life sciences imaging, so you can be inside the human body. It creates an object right in front of you that you want to touch, it's as realistic as real life, almost. Christoph speaks about a future project, building functioning models of the human body, rather than just images, calling it the object oriented approach. The goal is to understand enough of the human body to get at these complex genetic diseases.
