Anytime I recommend something, its because I bought it out of my own money to solve some problem I have on the homestead. I wasn't paid to review the item(s). That means I seldom do product reviews and I always give honest reviews - if you think I am joking, I will review something and flat out tell you its a piece of crap after I have used it a while - see my ryobi zero turn mower videos if you don't believe me.
With that being said, I bought this pole saw, chainsaw, hedge trimmer to help me with some overgrown trees and underbrush along the 1 mile driveway and decided to test it out near the house first to take care of an issue with squirrels, racoons, possums using the tree limbs to get on my roof and also to remove some branches that for 11 years smack me in the head every time I mow the yard. I wanted a hedge trimmer that could handle larger diameter limbs and literally read every detail on Amazon descriptions to find one that fit that bill. This thing exceeded my expectations immediately. Watch the video to find out why as I demonstrate its capabilities.
I said in the video I hadn't used the chain saw attachment yet and when the video was recorded that was true. However, I do have footage of using the chainsaw a few days later on branches up to 6" in diameter and it cuts them like butter. Well worth the money if you have to maintain trees or underbrush/undergrowth along driveways.
Sorry about the audio quality in the beginning, new gopro camera and I didn't have the rear microphone turned on in the settings .... fixed but I recorded several videos with not the greatest quality audio.

I liked this setup so well and it worked so good that I bought a 16" battery powered chainsaw from the same company. I kinda did this for 2 reasons....
The first reason is because I often times need a chainsaw for quick work and although I have a 2 cycle gasoline powered chainsaw and also an electrical 120v chainsaw - I often don't have what I need to make them work where I need to cut wood. As an example, because I use the 2 cycle gas powered chainsaw infrequently, what happens is that I never seem to have fresh gas or when I do have fresh gas I am out of oil or I forgot to drain the gas the last time I used it and now I need to remove the carb and clean the jets lol (it used to be almost all yard tools were 2 cycle so you had weed eaters, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, tillers, etc and keeping fresh gas wasn't that hard to do back then but times are changing and everything is going battery operated - like my zero turn mower). With the 120v electric chain saw, it works great as long as you have enough extension cords to get where you need to use it. I do have a left-over-from-my-photograhy-days, a battery pack and inverter that converts 12v to 120v and even though it will run photography lights for hours and hours, it will only run a chainsaw about 30 minutes. Plus, as I am getting up there in age and that battery pack probably weights 100lbs ... its a pita to carry very far.
The second reason, I wanted backup batteries for the hedgetrimmer/polesaw/chainsaw and buying a single battery is $40 for the 2ah battery and $60 for the 4ah battery. Well, the 16" chainsaw is 40volt but uses 2 x 20v 4.0ah batteries (if we look at what those batteries cost, thats $120 if you just bought the batteries) but I paid $159 tax and everything for the 16" chainsaw which not only included the 2 batteries I can use on the polesaw, but also gives me a chainsaw and dual fast charger for only $30 more .... win-win. The 16" chainsaw won't be here until until next week but I will do a review of it when it comes in and also after validating the batteries work on both sets of tools. If the 16" chainsaw cuts anything like the one on t he polesaw by the same company, I believe it cuts just as good or maybe even better than my several hundred dollar 2 cycle name brand one that I won't mention the name of but still ..... :)
