This April was a rollercoaster of events indeed. I celebrated my sister's birthday, I finished my first Nihongo exam, I reunited with some pals, but I also had to bid farewell to a really close friend of mine.
Vica has been one of the biggest parts of my journey as a songwriter. She is the half of Reese & Vica, the duo that introduced me to the local gig scene back in 2009. Since then, we've released 2 EPs and have written many magical original songs I will treasure in my heart.
It's time for her to move on and start a new life in San Francisco with her fiance, so towards the end of the month she launched her solo EP (Dear Universe, which is sooooo amazing) and celebrated her last gig here in Manila.
I think this is one of the most memorable things that marked my month. Despite our distance, Vica's legacy and melodies will always be in my heart. I will try to make her proud as I work on my 2nd album this year :)
