This entire animation was created from scratch in Blender 3D using Midilman, our Midi animation addon for Blender. Q: What is Midilman and when will it be released? A: Midilman is the addon I'm developing for Blender 2.8 to allow for many different types of animation to be controlled with midi files directly in Blender. I still have a lot of work to do to get a version 1.0 out, so the release date and price aren't solidified yet.
Q: Are you affiliated with Animusic LLC in any way? A: No, we operate on our own as a separate group of fans.

I streamed a good amount of the material creation which is on my channel. This was the first time I went through and hand-painted every single texture used: Subsurf factor, subsurf, roughness, diffuse, and specular. I'm pretty proud of it, and I'll try to make one every year to gauge my improvement as an artist!
