Join me for our annual playthrough of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. This time we have a twist to mix things up--I will be playing it with an arcade stick! The idea for this came about late one night when I was playing shoot 'em ups for PS1 and PS2. I wanted to play Castlevania but also didn't want to change controllers, so.. here we are! Playing this game with a stick is pretty fun, especially since there are a lot of fighting game styled inputs required. As per usual, this is being played via an actual copy of the Japanese version of the game (Akumajo Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight), played on a Japanese PS2 Slim system. The stick in question is the Hori Real Arcade Pro 2 SA. Video output is component into a XRGB Mini Framemeister upscaler.
