Its been a while since I covered a song from the original Castlevania. One of my first covers ever was Wicked Child, which I did almost 2 years ago (had a good ol laugh re-watching that lol), and haven't touched the game since. I definitely wanted to end October off with a Castlevania toon, especially since its ends on Halloween.
Castlevania is one of those games that has always intimidated me cover-wise(gameplay-wise too I suppose lol), I think its just because I hold the music so high up, and because the music is so well known and has all been covered to death.
The thing I'm usually afraid of happened this time, which is I have no Idea what to do and it looks like I'll end up throwing the whole cover out, which I've only actually done a few times. I spent 2 extra days worth of time on the writing/arranging and, as usual, I'm still not happy with it.
That being said, I'm more pleased with it than I was originally, all things considered. Doing these covers is a good test/lesson in working hard on something and seeing it through to the end, for better or worse, accepting something and moving on to the next thing. I usually don't like to complain or whatever down here so, my apologies, won't happen very often!
