This video is a demonstration of Carol Kaye's bassline from 'Good Vibrations', the hit song from The Beach Boys. This song has a fantastic, melodic bassline and is great fun to play.

I recorded this line using a Fender Precision bass strung with flatwound strings. The tone control was rolled all the way off, and a piece of felt was taped over the strings at the bridge to prevent any 'overtones'. The bass was recorded via a SansAmp Bass Driver DI, all controls set flat. A small amount of compression was added digitally.
