A mysterious villain is on the loose in the city! The fruit stand robbery investigation begins with Captain D. Rom on the job!
This is my entry for BRAWL 2014 (Brickfilm Rapidly All Week) on BricksInMotion.com. The theme was Development and the mod elements were the letter "K", and/or the color Red connected to the color Orange.
A few comments I'd like to say: As my first BRAWL, I was completely and utterly unprepared for making an entire Brickfilm in only one week. The script was one of the toughest parts. The theme "Development" was a tough one for me. During filming, I had to re-animate 3 shots, because of tremendous and un-expected set bumps (I'm using a finished wooden table for my animations now instead of plastic, and my set kept sliding around even with a rubber sheet under it). If you wondered how I made the Dark Room shot (which could have used some work), I covered my lens with a piece of plastic wrap that I colored red marker on. For editing, I made sure to properly adjust the volume and pan to make the film more dynamic audio-wise. The quality of my film still isn't that great, but I'd say this was the most complicated film I have made so far. I built lots of sets, animated a car chase, and even made the interior of a car.
