You know, one comment that I see a lot on many souls challenge run videos including my own is “do bare fist only”. Honestly, I don’t know why people seem to want to see this so much, I mean wouldn’t the fights be mostly long and boring? But I actually am kinda interested to try it in Dark Souls 2 for a couple reasons I’ll get into. The rules for this run are simple. I will aim to beat all bosses in Dark Souls 2 and I won’t be using any armour or any weapons that do damage apart from my bare fists. I will allow myself to wear rings and there is one and just one situation early on where I will allow the use of consumables to do damage just to help with the setup. You see, Dark Souls 2 is unique in that it has some tech specifically designed for bare fists. I had heard this means that bare fists could actually be viable, but I did not expect it to end up being one of the most effective builds I’ve ever tried!
