THERE'S A HOLE IN MY HOUSE!! - DIY lintel replacement in traditional stone cottage.
This week at our traditional Irish stone cottage, the DIY gets big! We attempt to replace our lintels ourselves. Not easy when you're working with old stone walls over 2 foot thick!
The original lintels are rotten timber in places and frankly, hanging on by a thread. With the masonry looking a bit off, we decide to remove the stone ready to rebuild it, all we need to do is get the old headers out...
A quick note on AJ - he's OK, we decided this week we wanted to spend what little time we have left with him 100% present, so no camera. However, if you missed last weeks video it's a great update on how he is and he is the star of the show, let's be honest, as he always has been!
We share so much that we just wanted to take a little bit of family time without filming, he will back on screen next week with a full update.
