Clickbait Title: Call of Duty: Ghosts is the worst game I've ever played

This video has been a long time coming, I originally played Ghosts around the launch of Advanced Warfare as part of a Twitch series called CoD Fishing where we explored the roots and evolution of the cinematic shooter genre. Even at the time I found Ghosts to be repulsive in a way that would take me an extra decade and several failed attempts at writing it down to really put together. The real challenge is to keep everything in scope, which is hard in two directions. First of all, it's still just a video game, and one with a contentious reputation at that, it is not a load-bearing pillar of society and it would be disingenuous to give it the credit for "causing" anything societal. Second, "just a video game" isn't absolution, these things still reflect us and our society. As Gareth, lyricist for Los Campesinos! put it in To Hell in a Handjob: there's salt in all the sugar.

$What Is Vsauce? Clickbait title: 10 WILDEST Geek Girls OMG!!! I found myself stonewalled on a number of other projects, to the point that I needed to make something just to get something done. More specifically I needed to finish something. Starting projects is easy, finishing them is hard. This isnt a thorough historiography of Vsauce, its a story. Its not about the business of running the channel, the ways that it has fractured into sub-channels with multiple hosts and how the stand alone DONG channel functions as its own version of what Vsauce was, its about the narrative created by the channel itself. Part of why I didnt go into all that is because the self-contained story is applicable to so many channels. Its a very prototypical story unique to the structure of YouTube itself. As much as theres a possible future where Mind Field is done, cancelled, over, whatever, and Vsauce goes on to do something else, something old, something new, theres as much a possible future that this is it, that when Mind Field is over so is Vsauce. Either way when you walk from one end of Vsauce to the other its quite a journey.
